Jesus told (doubting) Thomas : You have believed because you have seen Me. Blessed are those who have not seen Me, yet they believed.
Why doesn't God reveal Himself?
He could do Miracle after Miracle, if He wanted to.
He could heal all the sick children in the world, if he wanted to.
He could have Rescued ALL of Hitler's victim's, if He had wanted to. But, He didn't Rescue them. Some of the victims were Christians and Jews.
God could show His wounds in His Hands, but I've never seen them.
God could answer every prayer, in the affirmative, if He wanted to.
God could heal my eyes, if He wanted to.
I've got half the County praying for my eyes, and I'm still going to the doctor for my eyes.
I've prayed that God would save and bless ALL people in the world. And feed ALL the hungry, heal ALL the sick. Why hasn't God done all that I've asked for?
**************
My point is:
God is waiting to see what we will do with our lives, when we think "He's not looking", or "He doesn't exist", or "He doesn't Judge the wicked".
If I don't want to live in Righteousness and Love, then , I can simply dis-believe the Bible. It's my choice, as long as God is Invisible.
When God becomes Visible, then I have no choice..........I MUST obey the Scripture. The choice between Heaven and Hell is no choice at all.
The bank-robber THOUGHT that he could get away with the crime......the robber THOUGHT that God doesn't Judge the wicked.
The Saint (NT believer) THOUGHT that God is True, and that He has Wonderful things for the repentant believer, and that God has Horrific judgement for the un-repentant.................So, the Saint chose to believe God, and repent of his sins.
