I recently stepped out of the shower, and after toweling off, looked in the mirror and wondered "what are you waiting for God?" (This in reference to my own life and purpose). The spirit then spoke to my heart and said "they'll never see you coming."
This took me back at first, but then I began to smile as I pondered the implications...
All my life I have not sought glory, though I could have grasp the spotlight easily. All the knowlege, talent, skills, carisma, spiritual gifts that seem so underused for his kingdom, have been slowly fine tuned. No one knows James (outside of a select few), though I am an outspoken defender of the faith, and what I am truley capable of when he chooses to release me, unbridled and full power. I have not understood, until now, why he has restrained me from speaking, or correcting in some situations...or from stepping to leadership positions in a church (and no I'm not hung up on titles or church)
Now I'm thinking...Are there others like me? An Invisible army of everyday christians waiting for the lord to simply nod, and join a crushing wave of brethren that will be unleashed. Will this be revival? Is there a batallion of "mild mannerd Clark Kent" christians, biding there time as the spirit bids them be patient? I know we all want to do his will, but in this war would God prepare a group of unknown warriors for a surprise endtime assault on the enemy. I say yes!
Let me briefly conclude by saying that I am not trying to insinuate that I am some type of "special case"... I am just trying to interprate the meaning of "they'll never see you coming" and the implications. I want some feed back on this, either way.
Until he returns

I believe God has a plan and many stratagies. I had an experience one time at church, I was studying waiting for the prayer group I belong to to start. A woman was walking around and decided to sit down next to me. She had a very passive demenor about her, like she had been neglected as a child, almost like she had been isolated. I asked how she was doing and she said she was supposed to talk to me. We began to talk and what came out of it was an area in my life I was struggling with in faith. When we talked she did not make eye contact, she stammered over her words and figited. All of a sudden she got a read on something, she looked me directly in the eyes and said"satan is a wimp, he is a liar, he is a defeated foe, greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world" and at that she promptly left.
I sat there and just giggled to myself, I never saw her coming.

When I get in the shower I would love to hear they will never see you coming.
But I have gained some weight and I don't think I will hear that one.
\
\Okay I am just being silly. I know where you are coming from and I wll
try and be more serious. I just don't know why I always find some humour.
I may need more humour in the days to come.
Yes I believe we are being prepared for something.
All in God's timing.
My husband just came in and said I have to go for a walk with him.
So I better listen to him. I do that someimes you know.
I think that God has prepared a vast army. Its not just the brothers and sisters in the pulpits that is the army. Out there, is a great amount of people who will never be seen by the public, but we all are working and waiting. Waiting for whatever God wants us still to do.
I once asked God two years ago, if I wasn't getting too old to be called into ministry ( I am now 49) ...about 30 min later, I received a message on my phone, from a intercessor friend of mine: " God says you are not too old!

I could hardly believe my eyes.

What? Too Old?

Moses was 70 before he took the first step to lead. He was 120 when he climbed a mountain, when God told him that he was not going to cross into the promised land. Too Old? I think Not!
You and I can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens us!!!
By my calculations, you still have 71 years to go! If the Lord waits that long! If he comes then you have got a Loooooooooooooooooooooooooong tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiime

Right before the Bride goeth into the wedding banquet, The Lord Jesus will show her in full glory for Him and His purpose. Then and only then will she go into the wedding banquet and sup with Him. The Bride is almost made perfect and is beginnig to show the sleeve of her dress, and it is white, made pure, and as it reaches out her hand, the rest of her will awaken and stand up. Glory to God, the most High, for you are a befitting Bridegroom......amen.

YES YES YES YES!!!! HALLEUJAH!My heart has just leapt out of my chest and is dancing around the room at the moment! I share the exact same thought and it prods at my mind and spirit constantly.
I truly believe that God is quietly preparing this special Army of believers and as you say, when the time comes, He will give us the nod and we shall know what to do and where to do it.
It wont necessarily be the ones in the pulpit or the most anointed in the church but those quiet ones at the back of the church, those who have backslidden or the likes of me who are quietly on fire and waiting for the time to come out of my skin and do the works of the Lord.
As Im typing this, the sun has just come out of the clouds and the warmth has hit my back and filled the room with light. I feel like crying with joy and Ive had to stop and just praise His Name and thank Him for blessing me with the things that are being revealed on the forum on a daily basis. I really felt the Holy Spirit's presence.
Thank you James for revealing and sharing this with us, I really believe that God has guided your heart to post this and wanted to use you to speak to those who feel the same.
Gotta go and get my heart back!
God Bless you and Bless God

Amen, and all Praise to our Father Jesus.
I think we all know when God works best in us. It's when we surrender to his mercy and grace...and be STILL AND HE WORKS...SHHHHHHHHHHH YES I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND..so much.
There was a young women at the front of the church who was giving her testimony about how the grace of God had come upon her and saved her life after a life that would bring anyone down and think they were not worthy to serve God.
I felt this peace surround me, it was a surrendering peace...praying the whole time in my heart, not with words or thoughts....but praying For God's peace to surround my heart.
You could see she was nervous...for it was like confessing her sins in front of the whole congregation...and the whole time she told her story she looked directly into my eyes. I felt God's peace the whole time, and I was releasing that peace to her the whole time she was up there. In the most heartfelt parts of her testimony she kept trying to choke back the tears...but I felt peace still and through that peace courage beyond any understanding. She continued her testimony and I just felt the love of God fill the whole building..peaceful beyond words or thoughts.
Afterwards I was introduced to her, and she told me how I had helped her in being able to continue her testimony. I just smiled, it wasn't me it sure wasnt but it was the peace of GOD coming through on the whole congregation.
FOR GREATER IS HE THAT IS WITHIN US THAN WE OURSELVES.
He is powerful, and loves those who testify to his LOVE AND MERCY AND GRACE
Amen
GOD BLESS us LORD this day, and lead us always to your PEACE

Praising God
Praise is a natural response to God which happens as a result of knowing God. The Bible is filled with references to praising God. Praise must be expressed with words. Worship can be expressed by words or actions.
The dictionary says praise originally meant to set a price on or appraise. The dictionary gives meanings of: to commend the worth of; express approval or admiration of, to laud the glory of (God, etc.), as in song; glorify; extol.
Who
PSALM 150:6 NKJ
6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!
PSALM 113:1 NKJ
1 Praise the Lord! Praise, O servants of the Lord, Praise the name of the Lord!
Why
1) Because God deserves praise.
PSALM 48:1 NKJ
1 Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised . . . .
REVELATION 4:11 NKJ
11 "You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created."
PSALM 136:1 NKJ
1 Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.
PSALM 107:15 NKJ
15 Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men!
2) Because it is beneficial for us.
PSALM 135:3 NKJ
3 Praise the Lord, for the Lord is good; Sing praises to His name, for it is pleasant.
Praising God gets our eyes off ourselves and our problems and gets our eyes on God. When you think God is small, then your problems look large. But when you are reminded that God is mighty, then your problem looks very small for Him to fix.
Praise releases faith, which causes God to move on your behalf.
PSALM 8:2 NKJ
2 Out of the mouth of babes and infants You have ordained strength, Because of Your enemies, That You may silence the enemy and the avenger.
Praise changes the spiritual climate.
2 CHRONICLES 5:13-14 NKJ
13 indeed it came to pass, when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord, and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the Lord, saying: "For He is good, For His mercy endures forever," that the house, the house of the Lord, was filled with a cloud,
14 so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God.
PSALM 22:3 NKJ
3 But You are holy, Who inhabit the praises of Israel.
God inhabits, or lives in, an atmosphere of praise. So, if you desire God to manifest His presence and blessings, create an atmosphere of praise.
MATTHEW 21:15-16 NKJ
15 But when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that He did, and the children crying out in the temple and saying, "Hosanna to the Son of David!" they were indignant
16 and said to Him, "Do You hear what these are saying?" And Jesus said to them, "Yes. Have you never read, `Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have perfected praise'?"
1 PETER 2:9 NKJ
9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
When
PSALM 34:1 NKJ
1 I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
PSALM 63:3-4 NKJ
3 Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips shall praise You.
4 Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.
PSALM 113:2-3 NKJ
2 Blessed be the name of the Lord From this time forth and forevermore!
3 From the rising of the sun to its going down The Lord's name is to be praised.
HEBREWS 13:15 NKJ
15 Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.
PHILIPPIANS 4:4 NKJ
4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!
How
PSALM 9:1-2 NKJ
1 I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works.
2 I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.
PSALM 150:2-5 NKJ
2 Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness!
3 Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; Praise Him with the lute and harp!
4 Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes!
5 Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with high sounding cymbals!
PSALM 100:1,2,4 NKJ
1 Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands!
2 Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing.
4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
2 CORINTHIANS 10:17 NIV
17 But, "Let him who boasts boast in the Lord."
Where
PSALM 134:1-2 NKJ
1 Behold, bless the Lord, All you servants of the Lord, Who by night stand in the house of the Lord!
2 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, And bless the Lord.
PSALM 135:1-2 NKJ
1 Praise the Lord! Praise the name of the Lord; Praise Him, O you servants of the Lord!
2 You who stand in the house of the Lord, In the courts of the house of our God,
Since the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the dwelling of God on earth has been in believers. So, wherever a believer is at is where God should be praised.
1 CORINTHIANS 6:19-20 NKJ
19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?
20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.
1 PETER 2:5 NKJ
5 you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
PSALM 150:6 NKJ
6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!

contemplating the army of the Lord that He is preparing..
I heard..
I can hear you, the rest of the world can hear you and the people who knocked these buildings down will hear all of us soon
yes.. they will hear us, weeping and wailing
but!!!!
Take heart, children of the Most High..
He hears us... and assures me, the rest of the world will hear us.. whether to their good or to their harm
our cry.. REPENT!
Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from among the heathen, to give thanks unto thy holy name, to triumph in thy praise.
----------------------------------------
1 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good;
his love endures forever.
2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say this—
those he redeemed from the hand of the foe,
3 those he gathered from the lands,
from east and west, from north and south. [a]
4 Some wandered in desert wastelands,
finding no way to a city where they could settle.
5 They were hungry and thirsty,
and their lives ebbed away.
6 Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble,
and he delivered them from their distress.
7 He led them by a straight way
to a city where they could settle.
8 Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love
and his wonderful deeds for men,
9 for he satisfies the thirsty
and fills the hungry with good things.
10 Some sat in darkness and the deepest gloom,
prisoners suffering in iron chains,
11 for they had rebelled against the words of God
and despised the counsel of the Most High.
12 So he subjected them to bitter labor;
they stumbled, and there was no one to help.
13 Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble,
and he saved them from their distress.
14 He brought them out of darkness and the deepest gloom
and broke away their chains.
15 Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love
and his wonderful deeds for men,
16 for he breaks down gates of bronze
and cuts through bars of iron.
17 Some became fools through their rebellious ways
and suffered affliction because of their iniquities.
18 They loathed all food
and drew near the gates of death.
19 Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble,
and he saved them from their distress.
20 He sent forth his word and healed them;
he rescued them from the grave.
21 Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love
and his wonderful deeds for men.
22 Let them sacrifice thank offerings
and tell of his works with songs of joy.
23 Others went out on the sea in ships;
they were merchants on the mighty waters.
24 They saw the works of the LORD,
his wonderful deeds in the deep.
25 For he spoke and stirred up a tempest
that lifted high the waves.
26 They mounted up to the heavens and went down to the depths;
in their peril their courage melted away.
27 They reeled and staggered like drunken men;
they were at their wits' end.
28 Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble,
and he brought them out of their distress.
29 He stilled the storm to a whisper;
the waves of the sea were hushed.
30 They were glad when it grew calm,
and he guided them to their desired haven.
31 Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love
and his wonderful deeds for men.
32 Let them exalt him in the assembly of the people
and praise him in the council of the elders.
33 He turned rivers into a desert,
flowing springs into thirsty ground,
34 and fruitful land into a salt waste,
because of the wickedness of those who lived there.
35 He turned the desert into pools of water
and the parched ground into flowing springs;
36 there he brought the hungry to live,
and they founded a city where they could settle.
37 They sowed fields and planted vineyards
that yielded a fruitful harvest;
38 he blessed them, and their numbers greatly increased,
and he did not let their herds diminish.
39 Then their numbers decreased, and they were humbled
by oppression, calamity and sorrow;
40 he who pours contempt on nobles
made them wander in a trackless waste.
41 But he lifted the needy out of their affliction
and increased their families like flocks.
42 The upright see and rejoice,
but all the wicked shut their mouths.
43 Whoever is wise, let him heed these things
and consider the great love of the LORD.

God has a plan for all of us. I can say this much in the last few weeks I was depressed and sad about my life. Today I been very calm and praying to the Lord our God and reading his word little by little. He is calling me to be back with his people and my heart has been calmed. I am still in a depressing situation but I am not sad or upset anymore. He is calling all of us. We are getting near. I been saying this for years watching all the signs unfold. Our time is coming that we will once again be able to live with our Father.

do not be depressed!
but DO be diligent in your trust, in your seeking, in your prayer!!
Remember the Israelites..
God told them: I will be your God, your everything.. Simply believe and trust me.. they failed miserably..
be certain that you are not wanting only His provision .. and not His presence.. as did the israelites in the wilderness..
guard your heart.. and stand in the gap for those who have hardened their hearts
When Jesus returns.. will He find faith?
Lord let it be so, in those who call you Father

When Jesus returns.. will He find faith?
Lord let it be so, in those who call you Father
Thank you for nice words. I am feeling better and the Lord is in my heart more then I have ever believed and seeing this in these days. He is also teaching me a lesson of patience which I am a hard learner.

Isa 10:21 The remnant shall return, [even] the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty God.

Dan 11:31 And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily [sacrifice], and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.
Dan 11:32 And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do [exploits].
Dan 11:33 And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, [many] days.
Dan 11:34 Now when they shall fall, they shall be holpen with a little help: but many shall cleave to them with flatteries.
Dan 11:35 And [some] of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make [them] white, [even] to the time of the end: because [it is] yet for a time appointed.

God isn't doing the preparation all that quietly, if you have eyes to see and ears to hear.
All I pray is that we will all be ready, in season and out of season, with swords ready and our armor firmly on, ready to lay our lives down, as always, for our King and His work.

The time has come! Stir up the Gift! Diligently seek the perfection of that which he has placed in you. See, the watchman on the the wall draws a breath so that he may sound the alarm...the sound of beating hooves can be heard for those who discern. Awake and to arms! The hour for that which he has purposed you is at hand!
6 Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. 7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2Tim 1: 6-7

I have to bring a post over from another string but first let me say this.
While l think what you say is true and a word God spoke it isn't necessarily that he's hiding you away because it's the end times...but hiding you away for fruition for your own good and for the sake of the body. Many of us are hidden away from our personal circumstances right here on this forum...being refined and learning before we enter into the public arena of our small circles..That's what l believe God is saying. If we look at it the other way then we have to say that nobody ever walked in fullness because it wasn't the end times. No..God has hidden those like yourself storm eagle away...for your own good and for the good of the body and his purpose in you.
But suddenly...and l believe this..
He will slowly begin to call you out. Like a tomato plant that's been reared in a green house...He will weather you first so that you won't be shocked.
Like when you move a tomato plant out of the greenhouse into the yard but put a plastic bag over it at night..He's just waiting till you are ready.
It's harder step out than you think..

Wow Don...I just reread this!
QUOTE (Adonaicole @ Mar 1 2007, 05:25 PM)

Eight years ago, when Clinton was still President, I had an octopus dream. To understand my dream I have to tell you something about myself, I'm a staunch anti-communist. I wasn't always that way, when I was 15 (33 years ago) I naively thought that communism sounded great, where everyone shared everything equally. So when we were asked to do a report on a system of government, I choose communism. I went to the school library and the public library and got every book on communism I could find about 15 and I read every one. What I discovered was not a utopian form of government but an evil, murderous, anti-God, anti-Christ, system of slavery, hellbent on destruction and world domination...a wolf in sheep's clothing. I read, in the communists own words how, "the end justifies the means", meaning that anything could be done to promote world communism, including; lying, cheating, stealing, murder, terrorism. I was already a Christian at that time and I thought..."that aint right". The communists instructed that when communism takes over a country, that they were to murder any intellectuals, leaders, destroy churches and their leaders. Later I learned that the communists killed more people in the 20th century than died in all the wars combined (read the black book of communism).
Anyways, back to my dream. I was in a boat filled with people and we were looking over the side of the boat and we saw an octopus like creature. I say "like" because an octopus only has 8 legs and this creature had thousands. The legs all had names on them and we were straining to see the name on the head but every time we got close to seeing it, the octopus would squirt ink and hide it's head. The tenacles starting reaching into the boat and dragging people into the sea to drown them and we could see the names on the tenacles...Russia, China and I immeadiately thought, "the head is world communism". Then we saw the names on other tentacles and they were the names of terrorists and countries that support terrorism and I thought, "that makes sense because the communist train, support financially and arm the terrorists so they can fight the capitalists by proxy. Then I started to see names on other tenacles that didn't fit in with my theory, names of businessmen, organizations and leaders that weren't communist. Why would they be connected to communism? Especially the wealthy ones who would loose everything under communism.
The next day I started researching the names I saw in my dream and I found a common link, they were all tied to satanism. I also discovered that Marx and Stalin had ties to satanism as well and I knew the head was satan himself and all the names, organizations and countries were not necessarily satanist but were being used by him. This disturbed me greatly and I went to bed thinking how can Christians and Jews survive when there are so many far-reaching tenacles? That night I had another dream, I could see the earth as if from space and God spoke to me in my dream, he said, "it is true that Satan has his army, but I also have mine". At that one soldier stood up on the earth and he had a breastplate of armor, a helmut, a shield, a sword and a spear but he was all alone. Then another soldier stood up, far away from the first but he was identically armed. And God spoke to me again and said, "You see my soldiers, they don't appear to be connected, but they have my spirit within them and when I speak, they will stand up as one man to destroy the beast". After he said that, millions of soldiers stood up as one man all around the world, in every country and continent, each was identically armed.
This bible verse comes to mind...
Ephesians 6
The Armor of God
10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.
It doesn't mean l don't think there is an end time army...God is calling out people
but remember...He has always prepared special people for special tasks.

This war of God's Army is a spiritual war in the sense that spirit will rule over matter.
But here comes the problem, namely that there are many evil spirits (just look around you, see the news).
And than comes the Good News: those who walk with God will find that God can break every obstacle in their path.
That requires F-A-I-T-H.
The evil spirits will run screaming, consumed by the fear they sought to spread, now haunting themselves.
These spirits will leave many people who then will be set free.
Still many think that this is a material war and hence look in the wrong direction.
I am not saying that material wars will not erupt. For man is foolish enough to destroy himself.
Is it then fair to ask a common question: " Why does God allow this?" I say it is not fair.
HE gave us free will, plus the manual (the Word), then the perfect example of Love.
And yet man has the audacity to ask why God allows the results of our free will,
while most ignore the manual and even mock the perfect example?
Those that have humbled themselves and vested their Hope on Him,
those that have laid their problems at God's Feet, they know
how God operates, and they will be without fear.
To think of these as God's Army, ok, but bear in mind:
this war is won on the spiritual plane:
THY Will Be Done, on Earth as it *IS* in Heaven.
