i've been reading revalations alot and i was given an idea that maybe instead of time period this book is being written about would scale from the beginning to the end and instead of 7 years could it hav been 7000 years taking place in revalations just a thought

Well, while the End Times in the book are actually just a period of seven years, it covers a longer amount of time than that, the thousand year reign and the new earth and heavens, and a bit of time before the End Times concerning the war in heaven and the casting out of Satan and his angels.

Actually, stuncrazy, you're along the right thinking. Rather than Revelations happening over a period of 7000 years it happens over the period from the moment Christ was resurrected to today.
