What's strange about this is that I wasn't fully asleep. I was in that state where I was still dreaming but my eyes were open and I could see my room. I was aware that my body was still asleep and I was trying to wake myself up. This dream state happens to me a lot when I've got a cold or am sick with the flu, in this case it's just a mild cold. But anyways on to the dream.
While I was in this dream state, I could feel the presence of someone else in the room. The feeling I got was that it was some sort of demon or unholy presence. It felt like I was surrounded by this spirit. In this raspy, constricted feeling voice I started saying strange things like "Glory and praise be to the name of God and his Word" or something to that affect, I'm not certain of the exact words but it was something very similar. It's a great statement, but the reason I say it's strange is because I've never said anything like this before. I kept saying this over and over uncontrollably. I was trying to stop and wake myself up. It felt like I was saying these things to disgust this unholy presence so it would leave.
After a few moments of this I woke. I was up for awhile just thinking about the whole thing before I eventually went back to bed. I have since prayed asking whether this was just a freak nightmare or if it actually was an evil spirit trying to attack me, and if so I asked Jesus if he could protect me from these demons.
I'm still freaked out by this, I thought sharing it with you guys would make me feel better. What do you think?
