Matthew 5:43-38, "Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you. For that ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh the sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and the unjust. For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? And if ye salute your brethern only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publican's so? Be ye therefore perfect, even as your father which is in heaven perfect." (KJV)

It came to me, with all the violence in the world, that I hadn't ever really wanted to pray for my enemies. But Jesus, did, even from the cross, he asked God to "forgive them for they no not what they do." I have had several personnal attacks in the last few years, even in my own home! Why not pray for those who are our emeny? God recently gave me a verse that I was stuck on for sometime! 2 Samuel Chapter 22. (You can read it on your own if you like, it is too long to post here.)

He gave me this during a very difficult time, in which I am still dealing with, but I started forming a list of names for me to pray for. Family members that had come against us or needed salvation, enemies that were once trusted friends. World leaders, who come against Israel, Terrorists, etc. You get my idea.

I thought this would be a good way to start a prayer chain for our enemies and of those who need salvation! .

Lord, I stand on your word that the enemy belongs to you and that you will gaurd us and keep us. I bind them, in Jesus Name. Lord, salvation is yours, and I ask you to change their hearts that they may know you. Let me be a light in their darkness, and lead them to you, for you are our giver of life, and without it there can be no life, only death. Lord help me to remeber, that when the enemy comes against me, I need to give them to you. Your word in Isaiah 54: 17, says,"No weapon formed against thee shall prosoer; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgement thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD." (KJV) Lord, I ask you to make me more like your Son, Jesus, and if I offend anyone, let them forgive me as you have forgiven me. I also ask forgiveness of these that I named here on this page.

I want to hear the words, "You have fought the good fight, thou good and faithful servant." Let me be one who leads peace through prayer of my enemies. Give me peace that you are in control of them and you are my protector and shield, in the day od trouble. Help me to understand when famly members and friends trun against me, that you are in control, not me. Let the enemy not turn away from you, Lord, and help me to always be mindful of them.

Lord I know the battle is spiritual, help me to fight my battles through prayer and not through violence. Keep us safe from those who want to harm us. Protect Israel and all Christians around the world. Let this be my continual prayer to you. Remind me daily that this constant battlegound of this world is uncertainty, but that YOU are in control.

I thank you for your promises and for all you have done for me and my family. Let me be joyful in my prayers to you. All my praise is to you father. You have given me life through your Son, Jesus. You have provided a comforter, through the Holy Spirit. You are a hedge of protection, you send your angels to gaurd over me. I thank you for all that you do for me. I praise your name. Jehovah Jirah, YOU alone are my provider!, In Jesus name, amen.

Lord you know this world has gone astray and many people have decided to abandon their faith in you. I pray that many of the enemies in the world today will receive your wake-up call and hear your call soon! Our hope for peace is not in this world and we are all anxiously awaiting your return!!!!!! We pray for the peace of Jerusalem and Israel, we pray for the Palestinians and Al Quaeda that they will hear your call soon and see the error of their ways. We pray for those that have gone astray and lost and ran from the flock. Forgive me for my shortcomings. Please Lord Jesus, open my heart to be a better witness of your love...for it is in this unforgiving and hardened spirit that i find bitterness...let me not wait a minute longer for my heart to open...let me start each day with a prayer for mercy and truth to be a part of my daily life when it is hardened because of the untruthful and hurtful words that come my way that wound my spirit. Wow, God is really laying it hard on me to get as many scriptures out there as possible on dealing with the enemy. Last night I went through Psalms, I know I missed some. But these jumped off the pages of my KJV Bible. I think he is preparing us for the days' of battle that is ahead. I pray for His guidance!

Thank you for your word! Yes, he gives me Joy unspeakable and full of HIS GLORY! That is why I am standing on His Word about the attacks of the enemy. I have had many attacks in the past several years. Now I don't have to leave home....they come to me! Not joking here, they actualluy come to my home and attack me, stalk me, etc......


I just tell the devil he's a loser! and the ending is already been spoken by God, and he lost, so just give it up!!!! I bind him in Jesus Name, 'cause I know he fears Jesus! And send him packing with his tail between his legs!

I remember seeing a sign on an old Church Bus, that was over the driver's seat.

"In case of Rapture, driver will be outta here!...somebody...take the wheel!"

Until His Glorious Appearing, we must continue to pray for our enemies. They are multiplying way to fast for me to keep up with. I will continue to post these verses, as God leads me, but if any of you feel lead in the same direction that I feel lead, please do so....Say a prayer or tell us how God has removed the enemy from your path. I asked my Sunday school teacher this week what the difference was between perfect and good.............Because God tells us to be perfect like him and yet on the other hand he says no one is good except God......

He didn't know the answer but said he'd look it up for me (boy that was nice of him) But in the above scripture it gives Gods definition of "perfect"

But yet,we are made perfect in HIM. Praise God. Our perfecting of the Spirit will finalize in us seeing Him face to face. The Bible tells us we will be changed in a twinkling of the eye...How glorious and awesome.

Our hopes are bot in this world but in Heavenly places. To love those that hates us, is teaching us these things must come to pass. The battle is His, not mine. It was through some relly rough battles that I have come to know Him more intimately..I can draw strength in my weakness because of His perfection. His perfect will for us is to lean soley on HIM. This is the lesson in Love your enemies for me anyway.

I know I have to get back in the word. I believe that the enemy is going to
come after us with all the force it can. I have felt the blows here, but I will
still always love Jesus. I know He is here with me in the midst of the trials.

My daughter is having trials with friends that want her attention constantly.

I take it that the enemy has been fighting you, also...that is why God led me to start this string. It was a whisper that got louder! God laid it on my heart. I follow His lead. He gives us the scriptures to help when the battle is raging. Just give it to HIM. I go between this string on 'Love our enemies' to 'What He's done for other's He can do for you'....and start Praising God. The enemy can't stand it when we Praise the name if Jesus! He'll flee.

The revelation of all this is...'if we are being attacked by the enemy...we must be doing something right.' At least that's what the old time pastor's used to say. We need to give it to GOD, at all times!!! The battle of this world is not ours....it is HIS.

Rosie, I too have gone through the teenage peer pressure thingy with my children...hang in there. God says if we raise them to know Him, they will know Him, even when they are old! Put on the Whole Armour of God. Get into his word and He will lead you in all your steps. We are walking in faith, praying to a Living God who hears us, and we are never forsaken! How awesome is our GOD.

Dear God, you know each of our situations here, gaurd us against the attacks of the enemy. Give us Your Word, locked in our hearts and minds, so when the battles rage around us, You are our Defence. I praise you now, the You are My God! You reached throughout time and space and can touch our situations when we can't see through the battles raging before us. You fight our battles. I praise you for sheilding Your children. Thank You for sending Jesus to us and Your Holy Spirit to us to save us and to comfort us in these troubling times. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Miki we can never be good as in achieve perfection in the flesh but we can have the right attitude/spirit we can agree in our hearts and minds with what is Good. Gods will and the teachings of The Messiah Jesus (also Gods will for us ) So we can never be perfect but we can be righteous in Spirit. No matter how much we fall down we can still have the right attitude to God (trusting in Him and believing Him) and His will (acknowledging His teachings and directive towards us to be right and true)

I know this is a little off topic but l wonder if the red part above would be an argument for the mind being a bridge between the soul and spirit. We talked about this in another string. Something Dennis brought up.

Man is triune also..body soul spirit...I contended that soul was composed of the emotions personality and the mind....then l back tracked a little and wondered if the mind might in fact be a bridge between the soul nature of man and the spirit living with in him...then l posted those pictures of the Royal Gorge Bridge.

Because what a gap! What a gap.... And every once and a while a hand comes up to derail the process....and sometimes fog rises up from the canyon below and we can't see what's in front of us....and we have to walk solely by faith...

Dear Lord, I am putting the devil on notice that he is not welcome here in this forum, and I rebuke satan in the name of JESUS! Jesus you are in control here, and I thank You Lord for Saving me and being my sheild, when the tempter comes in. Use me Lord, I pray. I stand against the enemy, with the FULL Armour of God. After several days, of prayer, GOD led me back to this scripture. I hope that it speaks volumns for you, as it did to me, during some very trying times, in my walk with HIM.

2 Samuel 22

David sure was surrounded by enemies on all sides many times. But he knew he could find refuge in the Lord, who was more than able to protect him.

We sure can get overwhelmed and it can be hard to see clearly.
We should retreat into God. He's always there, ready to shield
and protect us whenever we call on him. Once we are hidden in God,
we can seek what is true, what is important, and what he would have us do
next.

Thanks Tigger for showing me Samuel again and pondering what the
Lord is giving us in these days that we are in. He's just given me
great insight in His ways through our girl named Onetiggeroo.
