This is all He is telling us to do: (2 Chronicles 7:14 ) If my people which are called by MY name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land......... This is a promise God has givin to His people of today just as He gave to the children of Israel.

Amen--this would go a long way toward healing our land and the hearts of the people.

What a wonderful verse. Gods people must first humble themselves, then they must pray, and in their prayer seek Gods face (what does he mean by seek his face) and then we must turn from our wicked ways. After we have done these things then God will hear us. Too often I think we approach God with OK you promised to do your part, but I really don't want to do my part. But look at his promise, not only will he hear us, he will forgive us and heal our land. If we want to make cookies but we skip any one of the steps will we get a cookie, or a brick? God gives us the recipe, what do you think happens if we don't follow it? We get bricks. But follow it and not only do we get warm chocolate chip cookies, he throws in the tall glass of milk as well.

Our Church did a forty day fast and study on this a while back. I keep the verse handy now and it reminds me why we need to pray! Thanks for reminding us......
