(I say these things in meekness of heart and hope they will be received in the same love that they are being shared in...)

Matt. 24:36; 42-44 (Amplified Version)

36)"But of that [exact] day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
42)Watch therefore [give strict attention, be cautious and active], for you do not know in what kind of a day [whether a near or a remote one] your Lord is coming.
43)But understand this: had the householder known in what [part of the night, whether in a night or a morning] watch the thief was coming, he would have watched and would not have allowed his house to be undermined and broken into.
44)You also must be ready therefore, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not expect Him."

So many views within the bride..some believe that the Lord will return before the Tribulation...some at the end of it and some in between...but I think we've missed what's really important here...that it's not about WHEN He's coming but rather about being ready for when He does!

In our words and actions (as well as our reactions to things), are we driven by a sincere love for Him (Who loves us with a love that can NEVER be earned and which we in ourselves will NEVER deserve)...or is it out of habit...to impress others... maybe to even (without us realizing it) impress God? Do we love what He loves...do we reach out to others who are hurting (whether Christian or not) and show them His love through us? Would people be able to tell we're believers through the course of our everyday routines...not just from our actions but from His love being shown TRULY through us? Do we hunger for those who are lost as He does? Do we really appreciate His sacrifice for us by striving with all that we are and all that we have, to not bring sadness to Him through harsh words spoken or actions which we would NEVER consider doing in His presence?

He yearns for His bride...the question is, do we yearn for Him as well. Instead of focusing on the when, I wonder why it is we're not focusing on watching instead...

Lk 21:34-36 (Amplified Version)

34)"But take heed to yourselves and be on your guard, lest your hearts be overburdened and depressed (weighed down) with the giddiness and headache and nausea of self-indulgence, drunkenness, and worldly worries and cares pertaining to [the business of] this life, and [lest] that day come upon you suddenly like a trap or a noose;
35)For it will come upon all who live upon the face of the entire earth.
36)Keep awake then and watch at all times [be discreet, attentive, and ready], praying that you may have the full strength and ability and be accounted worthy to escape all these things [taken together] that will take place, and to stand in the presence of the Son of Man."

Mk 13: 34-37 (Amplified Version)

34)"It is like a man [already] going on a journey; when he leaves home, he puts his servants in charge, each with his particular task, and he gives orders to the doorkeeper to be constantly alert and on the watch.
35)Therefore watch (give strict attention, be cautious and alert), for you do not know when the Master of the house is coming- in the evening, or at midnight, or at cockcrowing, or in the morning-
36)[Watch, I say] lest He come suddenly and unexpectedly and find you asleep.
37)And what I say to you I say to everybody; Watch (give strict attention, be cautious, active, and alert)!"

Thanks Selene...That's a good reminder.

Before our Lords first coming the same kind of thing happened didn't it.

All the speculating...

The Lord knows we're speculating..He loves us anyway.

He showed me once that he's more excited than we are.

He showed me that we talk in days and hours but he's looking at moments.

Moments till he comes.

Moments in our lives.

Remember that old song...

When Will I See You Again (Lyrics)

When will I see you again?
When will we share precious moments?
Will I have to wait forever?
Or will I have to suffer and cry the whole night through?

When will I see you again?
When will our hearts beat together?
Are we in love or just friends?
Is this my beginning or is this the end?
When will I see you again?
(When will I see you again?)
When will I see you again?

Are we in love or just friends?
Is this my beginning or is this the end?
When will I see you again?
(When will I see you again?)
When will I see you again?
(When will I see you again?)
When will I see you again?
(When will I see you again?)
When will I see you again?

He loves us and knows we're waiting... wub.gif

May God bless those words, Selene!

I don't know how anything will happen and I am not sure of the things that others speak of, which is why I feel disheartened about talk of "implanted chips," and the mark of the beast, etc, when it seems people are too preoccupied on who the anti christ is and argue of such things. People talk as if they know these things, and it's terrible because if they are wrong they will surely lead a person into a ditch! Examples, David Koresh, Jim Jones, etc.

Matthew 24 is a great chapter. When the disciples of Christ asked him about the end-times, Jesus told them that those things will happen in the same generation, and they did. Then, Christ was speaking of the destruction of Jerusalem, which happened in 70 AD, and because of Christ's warning many Christians saw the signs and left Jerusalem years before. When the eve of destruction occured many where in that city claiming they knew this and that and they led like the blind leading the blind. There were three factions in the city fighting each other, and they tore themselves apart. Out of the three million people who where there it is estimated a million perished within Jerusalem, while the Roman legions stood outside. This was a documented account at the time by the Jewish historian Josephus, who was there. Look it up.

So those words, I pray the Lord have sent, Selene, and are a beacon in these trouble times. rolleyes.gif

Your post really touched me too Selene and all.
Sometimes we, I, you smile.gif get frustrated at times, because we see the world suffering. But as God's children it is a priveledge and honor to be humble in waiting on him. Not always knowing what lies ahead but in Faith and Love let us walk at a steady pace receiving through prayer and meditation. This will only make us stronger and more self-discilplined through his WORD and PROMISE...and not to abuse what many blessings he provides for us.
Good posts and thoughts here, I am in agreement.
