Temple Mount desecration continues

No Jews on Temple Mount over Sukkot

Israeli Arab: Temple Mount Islam's forever
JERUSALEM - The collapse of major sections of Jerusalem’s Temple Mount is inevitable, and will likely occur during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, which begins in just three weeks, archeological and defense officials said Sunday.

Israel is fervently trying to convince the Muslim authorities atop the Mount of the danger of allowing thousands of worshippers to enter potentially unstable sections of the compound, knowing that any collapse would be blamed on the Jews.

Their warnings have fallen on deaf ears, with the PA-appointed Islamic clerics insisting the entire episode is merely an Israeli ploy to regain control over Judaism’s holiest site.

Unilateral action by Israel to head off a catastrophe by denying access to the Temple Mount would likely result in widespread Arab riots, while the death of thousands of Muslims in the compound’s collapse could spark regional war.

Inevitable collapse

Israel Radio quoted defense establishment sources as saying ongoing illegal Muslim construction atop the Temple Mount, coupled with recent earthquakes, had severely weakened the area known as Solomon’s Stables at the southern end of the compound.

Officials with the Antiquities Authority concurred, saying a “collapse of the building’s roof and walls is almost certain,” according to Ha’aretz .

The start of Ramadan typically sees up to 300,000 Arab Muslims ascend the Temple Mount to pray to their god, Allah.

Officials fear the weight of the gathering will result in a catastrophic collapse, killing thousands and possibly doing great damage to the Al Aqsa Mosque, which sits atop the massive underground corridors that make up Solomon’s Stables.

Unheeded warning

Israel has warned the Islamic Trust (Waqf) that oversees the Temple Mount of the impending danger and insisted that access to potentially unstable areas be denied.

Jerusalem is also urging Jordan, which administered the site until the signing of the Oslo Accords in 1993, to help pressure the current PA-appointed Muslim authorities.

Waqf officials, however, accused Israel of plotting to grab control of the Temple Mount and dismissed the warnings as unfounded.

Many believe the Waqf in fact wants a collapse to occur in order to use it as a catalyst for a unified Muslim front against the Jewish state.

Waqf clerics typically use their Friday sermons to demonize Israel and urge Arab violence against its citizens.

What to do?

Israel’s leaders have found themselves in a tricky situation, knowing that a deadly collapse of the Temple Mount could potentially spark a regional war.

They also know, however, that taking unilateral action to prevent such a catastrophe by limiting access to the Temple Mount during Ramadan would lead to widespread Muslim riots.

Despite the risks, the Jewish state appeared determined to protect the lives of its declared Islamic enemies.

"We won't have any choice but to reduce the number of worshippers on the Temple Mount” if the Waqf continues to ignore the warnings, Internal Security Minister Gideon Ezra told Israel Radio.

"I think that people will understand the issue. We have no intention of preventing worshippers from getting to the Temple Mount,” Ezra added.

Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has instructed the defense establishment to begin making preparations to prevent a mass disaster.

Shekel
Wow!

That could mean WW3.

But aren't you glad God has all this in His hands?

Thanks for posting that Dove!

I can't help but think of the fact that this coming year is 50 jubilees from when Nehemiah rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem back in 445 BC (or 444). I find God often does or allows things to happen in such a way as to let men know that He is the One that holds the keys to life and death. Thus the connection between Nehemiah's walls (of which a whole book of the bible is written) and these walls around the temple area. The temple and the city are closely associated in Bible prophecy, as are the four decrees in fulfillment of Daniel's prophecy in Dan. 9:24-27, of which the decree to Nehemiah in 445 BC is one of them, and is the most favored of these four decrees.

This very month in the Jewish calendar (of Kislev) is 50 jubilees back to when in 446 BC Nehemiah received the report about the broken-down walls. Will we too receive a report in the news about the broken down walls?

Hurricane Epsilon is, "against all odds," still churning in the Atlantic and is also a sign of this jubilee, but I am finding it hard to find the time to get that word out!

Isnt Epsilon the fifth letter of the Greek alphabet?

Unless I'm losing my marbles, which is entirely possible, I thought I read something recently from a link in this forum about a plot to destroy the temple mount. It was going to look accidental, but it wasn't going to be. I don't know whose prophecy page I read it on, though. It was a fairly recent link--within the past month. Does that ring any bells for anybody else? I'd really like to find it, but I don't remember what the person called the topic.

It's another Miracle, Sign, Wonder! (joking)

I remember, somewhere, somebody talking about the Ultimate terrorist event:
The Moslems/Arabs/Palestinians would lose Jerusalem/Temple Mount to the Jews, and then , they Nuke it, with the attitude of:

If we Moslems can't have it, then NOBODY CAN HAVE IT!

I wonder with the seismic activity going on there, if that will expedite the collapse. I can't see a muslim faction doing anything that would endanger their mosque. I think, (but am not sure) that any action by them to endanger their mosque would be a severe abomination to their "allah". But who knows. I also wonder how much of the recent event of them finding the mosaics that proclaimed the messiah haqs to do with any of this. I believe that this mosiac provides proof of the fact that the jews can lay claim to this whole territory, as it pre-dates the muslim religion.

all in all they have been talking about a collapse for a very long time.

Earliest Church in Holy Land?
Biblical archaeology Review Jan/Feb 2006
P. 14
"Prisoners working on hehalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA) inside a proposed new wing of the high-security prison at Megiddo (Biblical Armageddon) have uncovered what may hve been one of the earliest Christian; places of worship in ancient Israel. the structure may date to the third century A.D. and contains a floor with two mosaics and three inscriptions. One of the mosaics depicts two fish, an early Christian symbol. If the structure does date to the third century, it would predate Emperor Constantine's 313 edict that allowed Christians to worship freely in the Roman Empire.
The floor measures 30 by 15 feet and has a raised base at its center that may have supported a structure used in worshiip services. A nearby inscription reads, "The God-loving Aketous has offered this table to the God Jesus Christ as a memorial."
A second inscription mentions Gaianus, a Roman military officer, who, "having sought honor, from his own money has made the mosaic."
Some archaeologist were skeptical that the Megiddo structure dates as early as the third century or that it was used as a church. Zeev Weiss, who is excavating Sepphoris, an important Jewish and early Christian site in Galilee, the Washington Post,"To my mind, they don't really know what they have.""

Just read this and hope you find it helpful. Will keep watching.
