...if... : all muslims must (sin) in the name of Alah and join in sining with others to bring more to (sin) in the name of Alah, until all are dead or in sin in Alah and then all must repent of the sin and begin the laws of Alah........but if one man were to hide from the others like osama is hiding from the US then all could not stop from the Jihad until he is found......so spiritaly speaking all would be in sin until he came into the Kingdom or was destroyed......one man stops the completion of the Goal........this is a strange....religion...........?

the whole purpose of the Jihad is to get people to confess that (Mohamed) is GOD's prophet and to ignore ((the lesser prophet yahshua)) and his failed gospel .......but YAHSHUA... was just a prophet and not GOD=YHWH. but HE was a prophet? and what HE said is the truth?,.... but the apostles failed in ther mission? So Gabriel came and taught a new gospel to the Profit mohamed...... and he started the Jihad ...................until today.......but his gospel is not failing even though there are Billions not turning to Islam and mohamed and Alah.......but Billions are turning to (Christ) and his failed message........not to mention according to Mohamad; that the GOD Alah=((YHWH)) created both of these prophets : (Christ) and (mohamed) but has them fighting for the survival of their gospels and the name they proclaim as GOD........

Where did the Gospel of Jesus come from? Did Jesus get it from an "angel"? This is the difference between Jesus and muhammad. Jesus and muhammad cannot both be correct one must have taught a lying Gospel. All muslims faith depends on the "angel" that gave the koran to muhammad, it is wrong to assume that the angel that gave the message to muhammad was true to the will of God. The Bible proclaims that satan is a fallen angel not only satan but fully 1/3 %33 of the angels are with satan in rebellion against God. The bible give clear warning to this, by this warning message that now seems prophetical indeed.

The Qu'oran is quite a strange book .

It is of course totally in error on Jesus .
John the Baptist was the last of the prophets , so no one can claim to come after him . And I don't think we even need to examine the Islamic claims about Jesus .....

But Islam is notable in certain ways . It is monotheistic , it references all the old Testament characters , it exhalts Moses , it castigates Idol worship ( Mosques are image-free zones .....unlike Christian Churches ....) , it has a strict moral code , and so on ......in fact , it even recognizes Jesus as a prophet in some open-ended way .

' So what ? ' we say .

I guess we can be 'so what ?' about it . But maybe that is missing the point .

Okay I am not writing this to be pointlessly provocative . I have been evangelized by a Moslem , and it was a very strange experience for me . It was strange because the criticism levelled at Christianity ( received Christianity I hasten to add ) , was a very powerful one , and one to which I had no answer .

The Moslem produced two versions of the Bible , and in one a large chunk of Mark had been hacked out .

' Big potatoes ' , I hear you cry , it was probably some manufactured bible for his purposes . I don't know , other than to say I am aware of a problem , and a controversy within the Church , regarding Scripture and the sources of Scripture . Logically , he is saying , ' all your Bibles are different , therefore none is Authentic ...whereas The Qu'oran is authentic , etc etc . '

Well , we know that the garden on his side of the fence is less than weed free .....so his argument is disingenuous to say the least , but what about the different versions of the bible which abound ?

I think to see the matter clearly we need to visit a well . ( John 4 ). Jesus' meeting with the Samarian woman by the well is laden with significance . Firstly it has to be important , else why is Our Lord deliberately ministering , contrary to his express commitment , to a non-Jew ?!

The Samarians were a hybrid people , viewed with utter contempt by the Jews . They were part Jewish part Canaanite , ( it all goes back to something in the OT ) , with a hybrid religion to match .........( ringing any bells yet ? )

They had retained the Pentateuch , the first 5 books of the Bible penned by Moses , and then created fusion religion by adding in all their pagan local practices . The Jews loathed them. It was , I imagine , a real hodge-podge .
So when a woman who has had 5 marriages comes along , it seems no accident .

The '5 marriages' represent the spirtual state of the Samarians .......making the woman 'not married' . The Samarians have the Pentateuch ......but really they are not Spiritually married to God .

I see a parallel in Islam . Islam has a legal base . It is not devoid of meaning . But it is just a religious hodge-podge . And of course , although it strives to get to God , ( I would say ) , it can never do that because it doesn't go in the Gate ....................Jesus , just in case you were wondering .

Verse 19 .
' Truly I perceive that thou art a prophet '
..........funny that . I think Islam perceives Jesus as a prophet ...

and then there is a discussion about where to worship . In the mountain , or at Jerusalem . Again it is full of resonances .

And Jesus says ' true worshippers shall worship the Father in Spirit and in Truth ...'

That is , how do I say this , a lot of information in one small sentence .

But returning to the subject of Scripture , it has a very powerful application .
The Jews were wedded to Scripture ( Truth ) , but we are in the dispenstaion of Truth and Spirit , Scripture and Holy Spirit .

Of course , for the Samarian woman this was a very powerful message . ( What else !!) Her scriptures were corrupted and mangled almost beyond use , so worshipping in Spirit was an absolute neccesity .

well , in a nutshell , I think to be born in a Christian country , with a bible on the bookshelf , is an extraordinary blessing .

By the same token , I don't think it behoves us to sneer at people who haven't started life with that advantage .

If you have a moslem who has married and brought up respectful children , and a christian who has three divorces under his belt , who is obeying the Law by nature ?

Actually you missed mine. I believe all you are saying is simply that the Muslims are instructed to renounce their version of the Great Satan (America) by declaring the war they are in to be Holy. In so declaring, they are contravening many of their own stone commandments. It is like a catch twenty two. It would be an oxymoron of the highest order for one to have to sin to serve God. That alone proves the falsehood of religion.

This famous hymn was written by Philip Bliss over a century ago. He was inspired by a sermon he heard while living in Chicago. In that sermon, the preacher talked about a ship that was trying to find Cleveland harbor in the midst of a storm at night.

The captain could see the lighthouse. As he drew near, he shouted to the lighthouse keeper, "Is this Cleveland?" The lighthouse keeper shouted back, "Quite true, sir." The captain asked, "Where are the lower lights?" The lighthouse keeper said, "They have gone out. Can you make the harbor?" The captain replied, "We must, or we will perish!"

With that he sailed his ship into the harbor, passed the lighthouse, missed the channel, and was dashed against the rocks. It was a terrible tragedy. Many people were killed.

The preacher brought that story home with these words. He said, "Brothers and sisters, the Master will take care of the lighthouse. Let us keep the lower lights burning."

I was never sure what "lower lights" were. I thought many times about the phrase in the hymn, "Let the lower lights be burning." Well, the lower lights are the lights away from the lighthouse that illumine the water line. They're the various lights from our windows that enable vessels to come into the harbor at night, through a narrow channel of the harbor's mouth.
