A few days ago, Oprah had some gays and lesbians on the TV show. The mother of one lesbian young woman was on the show.
Oprah seemed to present the gays in a good light. And the people who were not pro-Gay were shown in a bad light.

***********

Many people are Pro-Gay, but they're not Pro-fornication. And they're not Pro-Adultery.
They're not Pro-:
Promiscuity,
Drug experimentation,
Recreational drugs,
Incest,
Child-sex,
Free-Love,
Group-sex,
etc

They allow Gay sex, if it's not promiscuous.

Adultery and Incest is not allowed, even if it's non-promiscuous.

********************

My point is:

Where do these people get their ideas from?
Who said that Gay sex should be non-promiscuous?
Who said that Fornication and Adultery should be prohibited, even in cases where it's done in secret?

They're certainly not getting these ideas from the Bible.
Oprah and her fans NEVER quote the Bible.
They're pulling their opinions "out of thin air".

***************

Sexual sins are prohibited by the Bible.

Jesus said: "If you're not helping Me to 'gather together', then you're scattering".

Oprah is scattering. She's not using her talent, voice, and influence to point people towards the Bible.

**************

Just THINK!

Imagine if Elvis, Cher, Madonna, Bill, W, the Pope, Oprah, Hope, Skelton, Billy Joel, etc had used their talents for the Lord!

And all day long, Jesus holds out his open arms to us rebels. He offers us "something better than the pleasures of sin".

Many of us prefer "sin on the dirt roads of Sodom" to the "Righteousness found on the Streets of Gold".

You say 'present gays in a good light' as though they are evil. Love the Sinner and Hate the Sin.

I suggest you go onto the "Ministering to those suffering from Homosexualiy thread". There is a testimony on there that you might be interested in.

Having suffered homosexuality myself and coming out of it through Our Lord Jesus Christ and knowing how deceiving this 'Pro Gay' activity is, I can understand how angry it makes people. It makes me sad how people like Oprah on their TV shows use homosexuality to puff themselves up and make me people think how wonderful and accepting they are.

We agree on the "Love the sinner, and hate the sin".

One of my main thoughts was:
Jesus said:
"If you're not helping me to gather together, then you're scattering".

And this principle is applicable to MANY subjects, not just homo-sexuality.

I think:
Even Christians (to some small degree) can be guilty of "scattering".

Think of the people who love horses, and they spend their time, talent, money, etc on horses. That delivers a message to the world: "Enjoying pleasure-horses is an activity that I want to spend time and resourses on TODAY. We'll send out the Gospel, and rescue the perishing SOME OTHER DAY".

I'm not picking on horses: I could have said Tennis, Motorcycles, luxurious Homes and Gardens, etc
