Today my grandfather passed away, he was 92. Please pray that he is now in heaven with our dear Father. He went through a long suffering illness of emphysema from years of smoking. It is my prayer that my grandmother will have comfort in her heart knowing that he is no longer suffering from not being able to breathe. Please keep her in her prayers too.

Their names are Sterle and Isabelle.

I'm so sorry to hear about your grandfather's passing. I will pray the prayer you asked, that your grandmother may be at peace and know that her husband is in heaven with our Dear Lord and Savior. I pray that your grandfather was taken up into the arms of our Lord and will forever be in His presence. So sorry!

Hi Marta...MyDad is really suffering right now from asthma and emphsema...
He's 89 and suppose to come for Thanksgiving dinner but feels to ill.

I pray your Grandma will find comforted at this time. Maybe from her grand daughter?

I'm praying for your father too Miki! I know how hard the holidays can be for family members that can't get out... it's lonely and they feel they are missing something. It's especially hard when people are ill. I do pray he feels better soon. Maybe send over a plate of turkey for him...? Do you live close by? I hope he can get over his illness soon. Big hugs!

hi this is bullsie my grandfather just passed away on nov. 3rd he also was 92 and we have witnessed a long time to him he said the sinners prayer yet we did not know if it was heart felt or if he was trying to shut us up.let me tell you he told dirty jokes to try to fit in all of his life. he smoked took a shot of whisky almost everyday for a good part of his life.my mother was sick over the thought of her daddy going to hell.and we prayed all the time. well the day he died my brother who is saved said lord just show us a sign of his salvation so we can be at peace. he said show me a white dove or a white bird of some sort as a sign please. he went to work and looked out the window and behold sat a group of black pegions and off to the right was one white pegion all by it self. at first he thought this is just a wierd chance . then all of the sudden the holy spirit poured on him and he foound himself in tears where he could hardly even talk. he knew it was god. you know the thing he said the most was that god cared enough to send this sign to little old me. wow god cares that much so we could have peace. so i believe what god made happen for us he can make happen for you. pray that the lord will give you a sign be specific and let's see what happens. keep in touch see we never know what is said in a person heart right before death so we have the hope of repentance if seeds were planted belive me he remembered them. all we have to do is call on him. so be of joy i think he is in heaven, because god knows the heart he sees what kind of child hood they had and believe me he does not want to send anyone to hell if he can help it. so i do think your grandfather called out just in time. praise the lord he is in his reward. love nicole

I so sorry to hear about your Grandfather!! if you didn't know already last week i posted a similar post but for my Granfather's healing... which worked "PRAISE THE LORD". The Lord has him right in his arms. I hope he is enjoying his time in Heavan becasue he can enjoy it forever...

I pray that your Grandmother finds peace and comfort through all of this. I pray that God may place his comforting hands on any hurting hearts in that family. We give thanks for the life God has given us, and we give thanks for the AWESOME place that we get to praise him in after our lives here.

Thank you all so much for your kind replies and your prayers. It means so much to have a good fellowship with everyone here. That I am thankful for. Even though now our Thanksgiving will be cancelled. Our family has indeed counted our blessings. I truley believe my grandfather has a place in heaven and he is no longer suffering...praise God. Isn't that what Thanksgiving is all about?! Being thankful and counting your blessings for your family, friends, co-workers, etc. I am thankful for many of you on this forum. Since we will not be having Thanksgiving this year I posted some of our favorite family recipes under the recipe thread. I'll post one for my aunts rolls which everyone just loves along with the desserts too.
