Hello All, apparently i'm new here and not new here. unsure.gif laugh.gif

I came in back in Dec. and after reading my 1 post i did at that time, i remember coming here. But then i seem to get lost and didn't find my way back to here. laugh.gif Glad i'm gettng back here now.

A little about myself, isn't much to tell, i run a few online ministries myself, but its soo good to get out and meet others on the web that are brothers and sisters in Christ. You can say i've been a student of Biblical Prophecy for many years now, it has taken me to the beginning of time to and end of time as we know it and to everlasting. Over the last 7 yrs, God has taken me down a road that has been truly amazing, spiritually, but at same time. one of the hardest roads i have ever traveled. God has kept me and i'm praying for Jesus to come soon.

Lord Bless you all!

Hello all:

I thought I would start an introduction thread since there have been so many new people! It has been exciting seeing this discussion board grow and listening and learning from every new person on here!

It seems a lot of times so many people check out the board, but don't join or post? I feel that we should get to know each other and learn from one another! Whaddya say? huh.gif

So....I'll start, I am 31, female, divorced, born in Texas and currently live in Indianapolis.

You? cool.gif

Let the power of the Holy Spirit blast out in love!!! Love the power of God in a person that is strong in the Lord and even weak in the Lord, because it's the power of God working out salvation in both.....a work that only He can do! To witness it in the people posting their thoughts their understanding, it's a great privilege and a wonderful blessing to see and gather with in postings.
Been a believer in the Way since 14 yrs of age. At 33 the Savior brought me into His Word, that has led me, taught me, directed me to where I am today, in love, knowledge, thought, life, and redemption. Love the God of all creation. Love to talk about the Word, the kingdom, the hope, the pleasure, the sadness at times and all that encompasses God. I am now about 60 yrs young and it's been an awesome path of walking with God into LIFE.

What a fun idea Marta, nice to "meet" you!

I'm 45, loved the Lord all my life but got "saved" when I was 12.

I'm happily married 9 years now to a big guy named Jim who loves God and is a great provider. We live in New Mexico with 3 labradors and 4 cats.

We attend Chruch at Gospel Light Baptist Church (Independent).

We don't work except 3-4 months out of the year doing a seasonal retail business. While that may sound fun, it's a grueling time of year. (You probably won't "see" me on the net then.)

I love studying the Bible, doing volunteer work, keeping house, and most recently, "meeting" the kind contributors of Christian-Forum.net biggrin.gif

Anyone else?

Howdy Martha, I from Texas and my husband and I are retire also. He wants to go back to
work, and I said, "honey, I'd rather eat beans and rice made every day than to go back to work." Now that tells you
how much I like being retired!!!

If the economy keeps going the way it is, we may all have to find a job of some kind. Though I think I can be pretty creative making different kinds of rice and beans. (smile) I got baptized at 14 and the bible opened up to me at 33. I am now almost 60 and I see more things each time I read the bible. Always something I did catch before, but seems to have a great meaning to me now, wow! Just gotta remember it and live it! The Way, the Life, is in the blood of the Lamb. Amen!
Hope to hear from you!

hello~

i love the holy bible and the word of God that is given to us as the canon of truth...ummm, beyond that i am here to learn more & read thoughts concerning the end times. it is an important thing to keep track of. not sure what to say beyond that ~ i love the Jesus Christ with all my soul and i am doing what i can to be presentable before his return. smile.gif

strange times are ahead of us. sad.gif
but faith in Jesus Christ shall sustain, i'm sure of it. smile.gif

i look forward to meeting new faces in Christ, for where i am currently living ~ it is not so easy of a thing living next to a big city; most times, i keep alone with my studies.

Hello. I have been accused of intelligent debate occasionally...or maybe rarely...but I am classed as one of dim understanding by the brighter light bulbs in these parts. Like does one say welcome to an atheist? This is still begging the question. What is common sense and how does an atheist recognize it? Is Christianity in denial of common sense then? I get it that atheism at large is a refuttal of ethereal sense.

Hey all!

I'm Matt. 18 years old and from Australia. Came across this board while surfing the net, and thought I'd join! smile.gif

I guess you'd say I've been a Christian my whole life, as I was born into a Christian and loving home, and have been raised in the same church since day one. Of course, though, that doesn't automatically make me a Christian, but as I've matured and become more independant in my most recent years, I've been learning alot more about God and growing personally in him. smile.gif

I hope to stay here for a while and enjoy everyone's company!

Hi everyone,
I didn't realize this intro thread was here until today...I've already posted some, but figured I'd respond to this too. I'm 40, have a wonderful hubby wub.gif , an 18 yr old daughter, 3 sub-children, the first is Licky (male cat, and YES, his name implies he is a licker and a half! tongue.gif lol), the second is Lady Cocoa Puff, (hehehe) and our 3rd is our doggy-girl, Dakota.

I love deep, complex discussions pertaining to the bible, especially bible prophecy...and most especially parallels found within those prophecies. huh.gif

I love to imagine God, imagine what He's up to, what He's like, what our relationship will be like after our resurrection. My hugest goal in life is to be as close as I can possibly be to God.

Take care everyone and God bless! biggrin.gif

Not sure what you are asking here..

QUOTE
Like does one say welcome to an atheist?

Do you mean like "Hi!" or "Welcome!"? It's fine to say "Hi!" to us, we don't bite. Promise!

QUOTE
What is common sense and how does an atheist recognize it?

Science is the way we get our facts, for the most part. We find facts, and then find a conclusion. Also, some Buddhists consider themselves atheists, simply because there is no "god" in Buddhism. Not really sure what you are asking on this one.
QUOTE
Is Christianity in denial of common sense then?

Realy depends on the person. Some atheists think all people who follow a religion are stupid, and some are ok with it, as long as it is not shoved down there/anybody elses throat. Of course, I live in the bible belt, and there are any of christian zealots down here so I get religion shoved down my throat a lot. Any of you want to take them? huh.gif

As soon as I'm able to post a topic, I'm going to post about my shaky faith, so if you guys could help me out...I'd appreciate it.

Servant of I Am....WELCOME! I have read a couple of your posts and they are very good. And Yes, I have read a couple of your wifes posts which also has me thinking. One of her posts spoke about the evilness associated with cats. (The post was in the dream section of this forum) I found that interesting because down the road from us lives a black cat and a couple of years ago during a satanic ceremony that cat had his eye surgically removed. Yes, satan, warlock, witches, I choose to stay away from. Anyway needless to say that post has me thinking!

Welcome!

I go by the name of FreedomPower, I have been in many other forums, including Atheist and Muslim forums debating about Christ. While I still participate on those forums I have found the need to find a good and solid Christian community, so here I am.

I am a 19 year old male currently living in Canada and I am a Christian, one that dislikes religion very much. The Church I attend is all about the irreligious life and following Jesus the way it was meant to be, without rituals, customs and traditions. I am happy to be here and I look forward to future discussions! If anyone has any questions feel free to PM me!
