This was Larry's idea!

And a good one!
We need a place where (hopefully) we can just be ourselves without being scrutinized to death!
A good place to share funny pictures that you might have and all that sort of stuff!
Let us enjoy 'the fellowship of the saints in light!' (I think that's somewhere in the bible isn't it?!)

The first 50 years, you go to work every day.
The second 50 years, you go to the doctor every day.
If you be nice to people, they'll bury you. (joking)
15 years ago, an old fellow told me that.
I'm going to hold my breath til Jesus comes back.
2000 years ago, He said, "I'm coming back SOON".
We have PATIENTLY waited 2000 years WITHOUT GRUMBLING; What has it benefitted us? (joking)
I guess 2000 years is not a long time, if you were without Beginning , and you've taken ALL of Eternity Past to get to this point.
THAT'S WHY THE BIBLE IS SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND!
He wrote it from HIS viewpoint!
O! That is so Nice! (joking)
How can He leave the Beginning, to get here, if there was no Beginning?
Hard to understand.
If He traveled ALL of Eternity Past to get to the Present, He would never arrive at the Present. He would still be traveling that Infinite amount of Past. Am I telling this right?

We are heirs of God, we are co-heirs with Christ.
We are heirs of a Person who will never die. What good is that? (joking)

I have a friend, a farmer, near-by. He went to Florida to work at cleaning up the Storm debris. Loading the dump-trucks with a big Loader-tractor. The work is a long way from home (NC), but it's good pay.
He said, "There's people from all over the nation, here in Florida , working to clean up the damage."
My computer repairman, 55 years old, Vietnam Veteran, was in the Reserve. He got called up to Iraq. AN OLD MAN, WITH A STOMACH, 55 YO, in our Army.

Just a note guys....
My little daughter came in the room with her slinky which was, you guessed it...all tangeled together. I knew when she bought it that it was a matter of days.
"Go give it to your father," I replied. Later, I walked by our bedroom and called in, "You got it yet?". To which he replied "Leave me alone." I could see around the corner; slinky dangeling and furrowed brow.

I'll go put some tea on while you are thinking. Oh yea I'll hand out the tea-some very hot tea.
You guys are a lot of fun!!!!
I need a good cup of tea to calm down. With my 93 year old grandfather living with us you just never know what kind of day you will have. He keeps me on my toes. The other day he couldn't find his teeth anywhere. We searched high and low and finally found them in his microwave. I don't know if he was warming up his teeth or what LOL!!
One Sunday he asked me if he looked nice for church. If he picked out a nice shirt and tie. I said the shirt and tie look great but I don't know whether they go with your plaid pajama pants. He didn't realize he didn't have the rest of his suite on. Oh we did laugh at that one. I told him he could start a new trend. You could tell the pastor you didn't know whether you would be awake for the sermon or asleep so you decided to come half dressed.
Okay I know that was silly. I'm tired and I get silly-okay I get silly when I 'm not tired too.

Justaservant, thank you for your kind words. I really love my grandfather.
My mother went to be with the Lord last October. My father is so lonely.
I would love to bring him here too, but I think right now he wants to stay
at his own home. My brother does live down the road from him so this helps
with the loneliness.
My dad will refuse to learn to do laundry and he always wants me to come
down to do it for him. I have shown him how to do it, but I truly think he just
wants the company. I actually get a kick out of this when he calls and asks if
I can come down and wash his bedding. Why I laugh is because sometimes I get
there and all he wants to do is talk. He says oh we can do the laundry some other time.
Everytime I talk to him he cries. I know he misses my mother sooooo much.
My heart just breaks when he breaks down. I always want to pick him up and bring him to my place. My father-in-law is also alone now. My mother-in-law passed away 3 years ago. He too is lonely. People have told me why don't you just open up an old age home. In all reality I don't have to open up anything God has done it for me. God's will be done. He tells me to open up my home to anyone. So that is already a done deal.

You know what my grandfather has always had a sense of humour
and can be a little rascal at times.
Does run in the family.
Here something that now is funny but not at the time.
I never really learned how to make a good pie.
However I was determined to make a melt in your mouth
pie crust like my mother in law did.
I was sooooo happy that my crust turned out great and so
did the whole pie. I made a lemon merange (sp) pie.
Even the merange turned out light and fluffy.
We were getting company so I thought I should put my pie
out on the deck to cool off. This was in the winter a few years back.
The company arrived and I thought I better go get my pie in.
As I went out on the deck the wind picked up and my merange flew
right in the dog pen.
I came in and called my husband to another room. I was so upset I told
him my merange flew off the pie and is in the dog pen. He said go get
it and if it is clean just put it back on. The company will never know.
I told him did he think my merange was so bad that the dog wouldn't even
eat it. The dog already had it in his mouth. All my husband could say
was well that was a fluffy merange to fly off like that. You did a good job, just too bad the
only one who knows what it tastes like is the dog.
So we ate lemon pie without the merange. It was fine!!

You know Servant....for me at least...there can only be so much white fluffy stuff(sp?) My grandma makes the best homeade lemon pie...yum.
I think I'll go watch some television now maybe bake a pie! I cut ya a big slice Servant!
This weekend I may get my buns out in the cold and go buy a nice TV...maybe put it on credit!! LOL....hang it on the wall or something...take me five years to pay off. We gotta have some HDTV in this living room! The one in my own living room keeps blinking on and off...it is quite irritating.
Just got a new consumer reports......Panasonic rated pretty high on their lists.

I may have a splurge this weekend!

Marta, go ahead and treat yourself, I believe you are worth it.
You know what justaservant, I love all pies too. I am a fan
of desserts in general. I have always had a sweet tooth or should
I say all of my teeth are sweet.
My mother-in-law always made great pies. She made almost every
kind each Christmas. My brother-in-law and I would have to have
one pieice of each kind. Everyone else couldn't even find room, but we
awlays did. Had to exercies twice as long the next day though.
I used to be thin growing up what is happening now that I am
in my late 40's. The pounds come on and they don't want to go
off very easy. My middle doesn't need too much pie this year
either Justaservant. Maybe I'll just stick with cherry cheese cake.
Oh boy I love making that, but I love eating it more-oh boy!!!!

I'm doing a mixed cell group tonight. I've been praying about it and l believe this is the one the Lord is sending me too...I'm aprehensive because as some of you might have guessed...My social skills are weak...
Pray l don't say too much or not enough.
I've been to Sunday School but not a small mixed group...They usually didn't like single women going to mixed groups (or that's the impression l got) Now l'm 57 so l should be ok...

Sorry I'm just being a brat...
I like these people. Down to earth and kind...Rosie type of people...

It appears we have a Seahawks fan in our midst!
I don't really follow football a whole lot (I prefer baseball... Go Braves!, and Nascar....

) but I always watch and root for the underdogs.
Um...... Miki.... after a little Google research it appears I will be rooting for the Seahawks with you!
I'll bring the chips and dip....
