Okey everyone I am taking Gods advice on this one. About a week ago I came across this in revelations 22:18-19 (KJV).

For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book. If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: and if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things wich are written in this book.

I promise I will not bring up my church on this forum anymore!!! biggrin.gif
It was just hard to see I guess because we love the ones so much who get brain washed by this stuff.

Love to All~Stacy

Thanks Stacy!

As Christians we are bound by good conscience not to stray from the Word of God. And the Mormon's have an entirely different book other than the Bible that they live by. It is the truth that sets one free! Good intentions are not enough.

But we do try to be gracious to all men, knowing that whatever we have by way of knowledge of the truth by means of the Word of God has come to us by grace, and so we do not look down on others who have yet to see the light of the Holy Scriptures which alone shows us the way of salvation.

I will not play devil's advocate intentionally here, but I would point out that during my time in the RLDS church, I easily noticed that they have not changed the book of Revelations.... huh.gif

Okey who, I am getting frustrated and confused here. Didn't they add to it? Trust me I don't mean to sound angry. I am just trying to move on.

Yes the book of Genisis for sure..I have no copy anymore but there are others...

" Trust me I don't mean to sound angry. I am just trying to move on."

That is what I did (moved on)...I know I am in the faith of the true God of the bible here in this life I now have encountered...certain folks will contest even that...ce la vie...

To be a bible believing Charismatic is to be disdained by dogmatics even as a cult of JW, Mormon, philedelphian, Armstrongite etc...

There will always be those who cannot stomach your faith, all the more so if you have something genuine...BTW this is not to be construed I believe in the above mentioned...

May I beg the question?

What if that verse was implied to only the revelations of John the disciple?

Then why are you being the devils advocate?

Now is changing the words of the Bible (or aleast the book of Revealation) then an unforgivable sin? Bcause JESUS (Peace and Blessings upon HIM) only named 1 sin unforgivable (as far as i know) and i don't really want to go into that. But my problem is, is that when i discuss Bible Scripture with my non-Christian friends, i always say " i THINK this is what the Bible says" or "I THINK s/he/it meant this" or " i don't know for sure that this is correct", Could i please please please have some insight on this question because it is of great concern to me.
