I will preface this by saying that I was in the middle of a very trying time involving my step-son and another "man of God" we will call Nate.

In this dream, I am fishing. The water that I stood in was about 1 foot deep. The water was a greenish hue. There was a dock to my right, tall, white, and weathered. Sitting on the dock was a pastor I know and greatly respect, who was watching me. To my left was a house of some sort. It appeared to be a place to clean your fish, and/or cook your fish. There was no one in the house. Fishing along side me in the shallows on this narrow strip of beach were my step-son Timothy and Nate. Now in front of us was a huge wave, 2 stories tall. This wave was staying in one place about thirty feet away from us. If it were to progress it would have crushed us. The crest of the wave foamed, as the water churned inside of it. No one seemed to mind the wave. I looked at it and thought how strange it was. No one was catching any fish, and everyone was fishing in the shallows. That’s when I began to cast into the wave. I was being very aggressive with my fishing. Nate began to cast across me, so as to cross our two lines. I was angry and asked Timothy “Isn’t there anywhere else to fish. I walked under his line to free mine and got a bite. I played with the fish, luring him into the shallows. When I set the hook, my line broke. Since he was in the shallows, I could see where he was flopping around, and Timothy went and picked up the fish. The fish was very large, and brown in color. It appeared to be a large mouth bass. The fish was generally ugly, but I was thrilled. Nate was not happy that I had caught the fish.
I have prayed and drawn some conclusions, but am eager for any feedback.

Could the wave be a coming move of God? It's filled with fish but also destruction?

Nobody gets it. They see it on the horizon but they just keep fishing in the shallows.

You realized there were no fish in shallow waters so you cast your line out deep.

When interference came you rebuked rightly and moved yourself rightly and got a fish. I could speculate all day after that about why the fish was a large mouthbass.

Maybe it means God is watching how you handle this situation with Nate, represented by your pastor sitting on the weathered dock to your right,

You should keep pondering it because it seems like significant dream alright.

Not sure if this will help, but what I first thought of was we are to be fishers of men... you were fishing and got cross ways with nate, He didn't like your ministry or the way you "wittnessed" maybe..... once you untangled with Nate you got a bite. Your son helped you encourage the "fish" that was flopping in the shallow water. The wave, I believe may be like what Miki suggested, a pending punishment of God which led me to think of this verse.

Knowing that Tarshish is England then the U.S. is the daughter of Tarshish.....

Isaiah 23:10-11(NIV) Till your land as along the Nile, O Daughter of Tarshish, for you no longer have a harbor. The Lord has stretched out his hand over the sea and made its kingdoms tremble.

The tidal wave is the HOLY SPIRIT and that it is about to decend upon the Holy men.
You describe the man Nate as a holy man, children are holy and yourself.

I have had these dreams before about a large wave or tidal wave and they mean the Holy Spirit.

But....there is a catch.....the anger you are holding onto - must be released. Forgive whatever it is you are holding onto.
