Thank you God for the incarnation of the Son. Oh, the humility and glory of God.

Adam,

I read "A Birthday Cake for Jesus," and I intend to read one short story a night. Here is a song that has blessed my heart and I hope it blesses your heart too.

Yes that was beautiful Al!

When I read your the title to your thread it took me back to when I was a little girl about 5. I learned this little song... It was more of a talk with others singing Silent night in the background.

I have never forgotten it since the age of 5

Happy Birthday Jesus

Happy Birthday Jesus
Mother said that you were Near
and that you would have a Birthday this time every year!

She said that you listened
to every word we say
and that you would hear us calling
in the Night or in the day.

she said you were so very good,
but then she made me cry
she said they nailed you to a cross
and wanted you to die!

She explained how bad they hurt you
Those awful naughty men
but she said you let them do it
for girls like me who sin

So Happy birthday Jesus
Help me to always remember
this time of the Year!

Even though I realize Christ was not born at this time.... I want to never forget EVERYDAY... that the King Of Glory stepped down.... left His throne ... thought it not robbery but made himself of NO REPUTATION! Humbled himself and took the punishment for MY SINS! All so we could be Heirs of the Promise! Oh there is no greater Love! wub.gif

Love in Christ,
Val

Unfortunately I can't access youtube on this computer here. Sorry. The lyrics look like this is a "cry every time you hear it" song though. I love/hate those songs. sad.gif

A poem that spoke to my heart and I would like to share.

Christmas is fastly approaching and with this fast approach: there is an increase in depression and suicides. Funny that the birth of our Lord is meant to give us hope and not despair. With this thought in mind I must remind myself that December 25th is not our Lords birthday. I must remind myself that Christmas has become secular and commercialized. I need to pray for all the hurting souls in this world who are grieving and going hungry. Kind of odd how the world has put glimmer, garland and givien the world a sense of false hope for only one day. While our Lord gives hope every every single day for the full year.

Although this season may be secularized so many people are grieving, going hungry, and hurting. We need to keep on praying and for those of us that can, we need to be active prayer warriors.

Children in Africa who have nothing are singing out with joy about the Lord. They are so thankful for what the Lord has provided for, TODAY. These kids have so much that they can teach us in America.

What Child Is This

The link "broke" over night (?) for the original painting I put here entitled "Kissing The Face Of God",
so I have put another one in it's place :

MARY, DID YOU KNOW?

Mary did you know, that your baby boy
Would one day walk on water?
Mary did you know, that your baby boy
Would save our sons and daughters?

Did you know, that your baby boy
Has come to make you new?
This Child that you delivered,
Will soon deliver you!

Mary did you know, that your baby boy
Will give sight to the blind man?
Mary did you know, that your baby boy
Would calm a storm with His hand?

Did you know, that your baby boy
Has walked where angels trod
And when you kiss your little baby,
You've kissed the face of God?
Oh, Mary did you know?
Mary did you know?

The blind will see, the deaf will hear,
The dead will live again,
The lame will leap, the dumb will speak
Praises of the Lamb?

Mary did you know, that your baby boy
Is Lord of all creation?
Mary did you know, that your baby boy
Will one day rule the nations?

Did you know, that your baby boy
Was Heaven's perfect Lamb
And this sleeping Child you're holding
Is the Great I Am
Oh Mary.

Al...what beautiful words to this song! I don't think I have ever heard all the verses before, until now. What a powerful way to convey the story of the birth of Christ. The singer/musician is very talented there. It truly blessed me, and I'm wanting to look up the lyrics to this song and read them more closely...beautiful.

Thanks Al smile.gif you are right, I DID enjoy this !!!!

I think this next video speaks such truth for friends, for we must remember that We are the reason that he gave up his life. Jesus gave hope on a hopeless world...HE lit a candle....So what else can we do but spend our lives loving our Savior? He is the reason for the season...ll the seasons in our lives.

Merry CHRISTmas! Happy Brithday to our LORD and SAVIOR, JESUS! AMEN. My heart is REJOICING about the ONE, who we also CHERISH and LOVE. JESUS! It is the sweetest name I know. As I read over the account of JESUS BIRTH, I am yet again amazed at each detail that was given in the accounts, and how they align with the PROPHECY of HIS COMING. Only the LORD could have made all these events happen in such a way. How the Shepherds must have felt to have angels visiting them, with the GOOD NEWS of the ARRIVAL of the MESSIAH! How Mary and Joseph must have wondered why they were favored and chosen, to be parents to the baby before them....knowing...that they were looking at the face of the SAVIOR of the world! Oh how the HEAVENS REJOICED, as the star shone brightly in the east! The angels rejoiced, as the plan of the FATHER, unfolded towards man. Here in a lowly manger, lies an infant, not unlike the ones we hold near and dear to us...and yet HE is unlike us, in that HE is the ONLY BEGOTTEN SON of GOD. GOD gave HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, to us, in infant form, to show HIS LOVE to us. Not only did JESUS come to us, as an infant...he was totally dependent upon us, to care for HIM....and one day, we would DEPEND upon HIM, for our SALVATION! There is so much more to this than a mere story in an old book....it is the STORY that is told in ALL TRUTH, and planned, from the beginning of the ages, and to be fulfilled, at the close of the ages, as we know it. JESUS is our LORD, and our SALVATION...HE IS the MESSIAH foretold in the OLD TESTIMENT PROPHECIES...and HE is GOD's GREATEST GIFT to each one of us.

PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME.

Merry CHRISTmas to one and all...

HAPPY BRITHDAY, to my HERO, JESUS!

Susan,

I love your passion and zeal...I wish you lived next door to me. Wesley was once asked, "How do you get the people to come out to hear you preach?" Wesley replied, "I light a fire and people come out to watch me burn." Susan, keep the light burning brightly, we really need your passion. A song that our readers will enjoy watching;

Ephesians 4

1: I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
2: With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
3: Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
4: There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
5: One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6: One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
7: But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
8: Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
9: (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?
10: He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)
11: And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12: For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
13: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ:
14: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

15: But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
16: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

17: This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,
18: Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:
19: Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

20: But ye have not so learned Christ;
21: If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:

22: That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
23: And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
24: And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
25: Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.
26: Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
27: Neither give place to the devil.
28: Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.
29: Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
30: And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
31: Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
32: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

Happy Birthday, Living WORD of God!!! Which was, and IS, and Shall Be.

PEACE,
Tom
