Full Version: A Seed Of Love

Friends and family often wonder that I do not date or actively search for a woman. They worry that my love has waxed cold. I can assure you, it has not, my love is strong and burning brightly.

I'm not a big fan of waiting but God has commanded me to wait. He gave me an analogy to help me understand why. What if you had a house to rent? A good tenant wanted to rent the house but asked if you could wait a little while because they weren't quite ready to move. Would you let bad tenants move in and trash the place and when the good tenant shows up they don't want to rent because the house is a mess? Or would you prepare the house, cleaning it thoroughly to remove every spot and stain from the previous tenant, so when the good tenant showed up they find the house to their liking, cleaned and prepared? How much more so your hear? Shouldn't the good tenant find it swept clean and prepared?

A Seed of Love

I love you! Sweet girl I cannot see.
I know you for you have the same one true love as me.

A heart to serve and glorify the Father and to know the Son.
As he is with the Father with him you and I will be one.

He is the master potter, how wonderfully he molds us into vessels to serve.
He washes away our impurities with a love we do not deserve.

Glory to God in the highest, whose kingdom is steadfast and sure.
I submit my will to you O' Lord for your plan is flawless and pure.

Not alone forever, for the Lord God said, "It is not good that the man should be alone".
He cast a deep sleep on the man, removed a rib and made a woman from his own bone.

How awesome are his ways.
The one becomes two and the two become one flesh.
For this reason shall a man leave his father and mother and cleave unto his wife.
Now some may argue, it was the girl in Genesis who led man out of the garden.
That may be true but I believe it is she who will lead us back.
Back to the Garden. A bride prepared for the bride-groom.
Where peace, love, truth and light will reign in harmony with the King of Kings.
With every tree bearing fruit for meat in season and herbs for healing.
Thank you God for planting this seed of love in my heart.
For your greater glory. Thy will be done, thy Kingdom come.
Glory to God in the highest!

smile.gif I hope that the girl you are waiting for finds you and understands what a treasure you are.

Your story reminds me of my niece. A beautiful, intelligent and sweet girl...actually now in her 30's, that hasn't yet married. So far she hasn't found the right one but she, as you, knows God is in control.

that is a beautiful prayer and poem for all of us patiently and impatiently waiting
it is also about God's timing and ordering all things that come into our lives
growing up and letting go of childish ideas that the Lord of Glory can
come in and bless us with the helpmate and friend, of His choice

may we recognize it when it comes and continue to prepare
that Holy place

thank you for sharing this very personal and precious
thought with us.

Thank you signet, yes it was a very personal thought but I wanted to share in the hope it would encourage others in a similar situation and just in general to trust in God's perfect will and timing.

Now,

What in the world is this ?

A man named Adonaicole.

A man who writes poems, grows fresh vegetables and loves children and honors women ?

This is so rare, you must have been sleep walking, abducted by angel's and returned
to earth, with these understandings ?

Praise God [IHVI], an example is still alive and doing well on 'Late Great Planet' LOVE !

P.S.

You are too kind. I'm not such a great catch, or I would have been caught already...

Thank you for noticing and appreciating my good qualities for we all have good qualities for our Father in heaven made us well. Be blessed today, for you have blessed me today.

I agree.

I admire your waiting on the Lord.

I too know how hard it is to be alone.

It scares me to death to marry again.

You have to trust the Lord.

May he make us able to hear his voice!!!!!!

Her love is singing to my heart.
Her love is changing my spirit.

The groom must prepare for the bride.
Just as the bride prepares for the groom.

I know that God will deliver, for he is faithful and true.
I know that above all the clouds the skies are clear and blue.

The world sees with their eyes touch with their hands and then they believe.
I am seeing with my heart and touching with my spirit and I believe.

Blessed is he who believes without seeing.

She came to me in the night, a dream more real than life.
I cannot deserve or hope to entice, such a wonderful and beautiful wife.

Seek God first and all these things will be added unto you.
For he knows the deepest desires of your heart and he loves you.

What makes her so wonderful and beautiful is she has a heart to seek God first.

When Jacob Meets Rachel

Contributed by Bill Crider

Thursday, 29 May 2008

This love story is quite different from the popular movie in the 1990's, When Harry Meets Sally. In Genesis 28-31, we read about this love story. Jacob had tricked his brother, Esau, and stole both his birthright and inheritance. Father
Isaac was old and could not see well, but Mother Rebekah assisted Jacob in this deceptive act.

When the blessing was made, in that culture, it could not be reversed. Therefore, Jacob, in fear of his brother's reaction, knew he must leave the country.
Mother and Father encouraged him to go; to your Uncle Laban to take a wife from his daughters.

Esau, in contrast, chose wives from the daughters of Canaan that greatly displeased his father. (28:7-8) It was during his flight to Haran, Jacob encountered God in a dream. In fact, it was the angels of God ascending and descending a
ladder that he saw. And the Lord stood above it, and spoke to Jacob. I am the Lord God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed.(Genesis 28:12-13). Thus,
the covenant promise of God to Abraham was transferred to the next generation;from Abraham to Isaac and now to Jacob.

So Jacob travels on and comes into the land of the people of the east;(29:1). He beholds a water well
and inquires about his uncle, Laban, from shepherds nearby. Oh, yes, we know him; in fact, here comes one of
his daughters now to water her sheep;. (29: 9). Jacob rolled the stone from the well so she could water the sheep.
And Jacob kissed Rachel, and lifted up his voice and wept. (29:11). Love at first sight! When Jacob meets Rachel!

This is one of the most romantic stories in the Bible. We know of Jacob's eternal love for her. He labored seven
years for her only to be tricked by his father-in-law, who substituted Leah, the older sister, to be his wife. Then Jacob
agreed to work seven more years for Rachel. (It must have been pure love at first sight) Finally, he took her as his wife.

Though he already had many children by Leah and her handmaidens, his sons with Rachel were most
favored;Joseph and Benjamin. This was God's way of continuing the covenant agreement that began with
Abraham.
Truly they were devoted to each other and God blessed the union of Jacob and Rachel. Their sons grew to be special
agents of God, used in mighty ways. Joseph rose to power in the land of Egypt after being discarded by his older
brothers because they were jealous of him;. Benjamin stayed close to his father for Jacob was afraid he might
lose this younger son who was a constant reminder of his precious Rachel. She had died along the way back to Canaan.

(Remember, Joseph was thought to be dead for many years). What devotion these sons learned from their father.

Jacob and Rachel probably were not married in June. That doesn't really matter. But June has been a favored
month to plan weddings for years. So when June appears on the horizon, we are reminded of this. Though couples line
up for wedding licenses throughout the year, June continues to lead the way. Just look at the announcements and
invitations you are receiving! True, Jacob and Rachel were not concerned with the month or season to seal their love. For
after fourteen years of hard work, Jacob was ready to seal the deal, and so was Rachel regardless of the
calendar date. They were in love. It was not just an arranged marriage; it truly was love at first sight.

Looking back, we all can see how God has worked in our lives, bringing about events to further His cause and purpose in
our lives.
Even in choosing a life-mate. When we hear of ones celebrating a June wedding, take a moment and ask
about how they met, what has made the difference in their relationship. And probably you will hear someone mention
their Jacob meets Rachel moment. (1 Cor 13:13)

your moment will certainly come

Adonaicole
Thank you for sharing that story, that is very encouraging to me. I'm looking forward to that love at first sight moment, I only hope I don't have to labor and wait 14 years...

I feel certain that the time will come and I'll realize it was perfect timing, when we both are ready.
