Isaiah 54:7 "For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.

54:8 In a little wrath I hid My face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee," saith the Lord thy Redeemer.

54:9 "For this is as the waters of Noah unto Me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.

When does He hide His face from us "for a moment?" I believe that is during the tribulation in the end of days. Interestingly He gives us a clue to that time by mentioning the time of Noah. He called and prepared Noah as He calls and prepares us for that difficult time. We must be prepared by knowing His Word for when He hides His face will be when.....

Amos 8:11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord.

During the five month tribulation of Satan, which will be a time of tremendous deception, may be the time we will be unable to "hear the Words" because of the deception.....so we must know the Words. That time is the same amount of time in Noah's flood that the "waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days." [Gen.7:24] Five months! And then.....the wrath of God. But the wrath is not for those that endure the deception of the tribulation. Not for those that don't fall off into apostasy and wait for our true Savior:

Mark 13:13 And ye shall be hated of all men for My name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Deu 32:20 And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end [shall be]: for they [are] a very froward generation, children in whom [is] no faith.

Eze 39:29 Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.

Well concerning the first 2 ::::

Isaiah 54:7 "For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.

54:8 In a little wrath I hid My face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee," saith the Lord thy Redeemer.

At first glance it does look like God is talking about the tribulation/temptation of satan.....I kinda think hes taking about the first age though.....

Well in vs 7 I believe God is talking to the elects,,,,,I conclude this because at the end of his statement,,, God says we will be gathered,,,,,

Mark 13:27
And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

But when did God hide His face from the elects??????I believe right now,,,,I believe ever since we have been in this age and in the flesh we cant look upon God,,,,,,surely we have all seen God before in a prior age........But we cant see Him now,,,,,,,

ph34r.gif ::Hebrews 10:32 "But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of affliction;"

Hebrews 10:33 "Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used."

I never considered those scriptures as speaking of the first age but...that is a strong possibility Nightmare. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. 1dsz5e4.gif

Thank goodness He forgives us. blush.gif I believe we are the "house of Israel" with the main part right smack dab here in America. I also believe He is pouring His Spirit out on us at this time.....our time in the wilderness. Of course...just as He pours out His Holy Spirit so does the spirit of Satan and he is working overtime. Which father will we listen to?

Malachi 4:5-6 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord: And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse."

The problem is not God forsaking us, but the reverse! See the Pre/Flood ones of Gen. 4:7. The Holy Spirit was said to be STRIVING with all of the lost ones that Noah the preacher of Rightousness was preaching to for 120 years! (Rightousness? see Rev. 14:6 for Eternal Gospel)

And then read Rev. 17:1-5 for the ones who are the same false doctrine teaching ones of today. And these ALL are professed Christians! Which one of ALL the denomination that we know of that are on the scene right now, have renounced any [one] false doctrine that they have started out with???

And when we will just flat out not be 'led' of the Holy Ghost as seen in Rom. 8:14? It will not be long that HE just cannot even budge us! It is like stealing. When it is done the first time, it gets easier as it is done over time, so that before long the Holy Spirit has NO CONSCIENCE to [CONVICT!] Compare Rev. 3:16-17 for how even the COLD are more suceptible to His promptings than are these LUKEWARM ones.

So we see the same QUINCHING & GRIEVING AWAY OF THE HOLY GHOST that was recorded before the flood! And if this cannot be understood?? See Eccl. 1:9-10 & Eccl. 3:15's Eternal Prophecy.
