I have never studied the stars or the planets out there. Tonight though I saw two big bright ones very close together. I am not sure whether they were stars or planets. Anyone else see them? Also can anyone think of scripture that talks about sighns from God in the sky?

Hi Jeff! Hey, why not go out and see if they are still there. If it's been awhile the stars, planets will have moved alittle - try to spot them, then tell us where you are located (generally), and what time, and the direction in the sky they appear to be....maybe someone here who is more experienced at astronomy can help!

just a suggestion, and I am curious also! My trees block most of my view here or I would check it out to.

On Thanksgiving, Venus and Jupiter will be joined by a crescent moon. All, if I recall, will be within a finger's width of each other when it is held out at arm's length in the southwest sky.

Well at around 7:00 PM Central time they were both directly south of me. By 8:00 CT they started dispearing behind trees.

Interesting stuff...

The planet Venus symbolizes copper, which is spirit above matter

The planet Jupiter symbolizes tin, which is mind controlling material

then you add in the cresent moon, which is due (?) Dec. 1(?)...moon symbolizes silver, which stands for pure mind

Just thought I would share, it makes watching the night sky a little more fun when you consider the anicient meanings of these planets and stars.
