My brother-in-law and his former wife went through a bitter divorce after 27 yrs of marriage. They had three children together (now in their 30's). His former wife is dying from an unknown illness that is affecting her liver, kidneys and heart (it is blood related). She is currently in a coma and on life support.
Our greatest concern is for her salvation. My dh's brother is very callous to her plight but has much concern for his sons. He needs prayer to return to the Lord in repentance and bringing forth the fruit of the Spirit (he is currently backslidden). All of his sons need the Lord too.

I just prayed for your family. I hope it's not the Human Parvo Virus. That is similar to what dogs get only this stuff has addapted to humans. It effects those organs and is blood-borne, but I had a friend who was healed from it after a month in the hospital.

i am praying for the needs of this family.

Update:
Her kidneys and heart have strengthened somewhat and this happened while her son was talking to her (so the dr's thinking that she can hear him even though she's in a coma). It's a good sign and I sincerely believe these prayers are helping!!! Praise God! Thanks so much to you ALL for these prayers!!!

Sharon, she has suffered from severe anemia all of her life. But within the last 5 yrs her condition has steadily deteriorated. She would need blood transfusions every now and then and has steadily decreased in weight....she has *appeared* to be on death's door for several years now but never needed this degree of vital care.

How long does it take for Human Parvo to develop? I've never heard of that. She's been tested for all kinds of things but we still get the frustrating answers that they don't know what's causing this.

I have only known of 2 people who had Human Parvo and it's very rare. If your sis had leukema the docs could pick it up in a blood and bone marrow test, so there is something else causing this blood drain. I assume they have tested for severe hook worm infection, as those little blood-suckers can kill a person.

Parvovirus B19 infection may cause a serious illness in persons with sickle-cell disease or similar types of chronic anemia. In such persons, parvovirus B19 can cause an acute, severe anemia. The ill person may be pale, weak, and tired, and should see his or her physician for treatment. (The typical rash of fifth disease is rarely seen in these persons.) Once the infection is controlled, the anemia resolves. Furthermore, persons who have problems with their immune systems may also develop a chronic anemia with parvovirus B19 infection that requires medical treatment. People who have leukemia or cancer, who are born with immune deficiencies, who have received an organ transplant, or who have human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection are at risk for serious illness due to parvovirus B19 infection.

Maybe you should have your brother-in-law show this to her doctors. I will go back and find the link for you.

It sadens me that that man is hardened against the "wife of his youth" even as she lays dying.

Heal this woman.

Heal the hearts of this woman and this man that divorced.

Our prayers are being very affective! Thanks so much! She is awake now! Thank God. Originally she went to Liberty Hospital (in Liberty MO)....at this hospital they thought they saw spots on her liver but she was life-flighted to KU-Med in Kansas City, Kansas, and at KU they found NO spots! Thank God!

For some reason or another, she became totally malnourished. She has always struggled with keeping weight on all her life. This is what caused her to become so weak that her kidneys stopped working and she went into (what they now believe) was a semi-coma.

Also, my BIL is displaying a more compassionate heart during all of this...I'm so thankful for that.

.......Sharon passed today with her three sons holding her hand. The brief recovery was needed for them to say their goodbyes and as her son expressed to me "I was able to be with her, to walk her to the other side".

I sincerely thank you all for your kind words, sympathies and prayers! What is also unfortunate is that Sharon's middle son's wife also lost her Mom barely a month ago. They are really going though it! I've noticed this though and believe it's a sign from God...when people pass away, it tends to be in 3's....as in 3 (inter-related) people tend to pass around the same time.
