I had this vision while praying in church. I think I have most of the interpretation but just thought I would like more input for confirmation or seeking out the truth,
it was about praying in the spirit
and this vision of a great axe came to me. The surrounds were in darkness but was whelded and came smashing down onto a lump of dark rock, cracking it open to reveal a glowing emerald. Shards were scattered.

I spoke to a woman I know after the service, who is a prophet and shared the vision, feeling a bit embarrassed / worried because I am new and not used to these things. It turns out that she is called a "battle axe" in prayer. I wondered what the emerald symbolised and I was thinking of looking up the meaning and I was also thinking of the breastplate the priests wore. I found out that the tribe of Levi is represented by the emerald, that it is also a colour in heaven to do with the throne... so I'm not completely sure of the interpretation but it is something to do with us being the priesthood and about the power of prayer in breaking strongholds etc. Maybe this message is for her?

Nehemiah 7
[43] The Levites: the children of Jeshua, of Kadmiel, and of the children of Hodevah, seventy and four.

As I was pondering why God showed this, I did read your dream.

The battle axe is basically a similar weapon as the sword, both have two sharp edges. Wielding the Word as a weapon against evil, hence the sword.

Once several years ago l had a vision when l was praying for a young girl in church

of a glowing fire sealed inside a rock.

I wondered about it. I wondered how it could be inside of a rock.

This young women was a little hardened by her mistakes. She was entering a time of isolation because of the circumstances in her life. I always wondered if it was a picture of her heart. She was saved but not as on fire as she could be for the Lord because of her errors. I know this isn't the same as yours but it made me think of it.

It's interesting the women you choose to share it with was called battle axe. I believe she is meant to pray with you. To perhaps, through prayer, to break down any remaining rock hardened walls of darkness in your life? I've also seen green as connecting the warm and cool colors..... Jesus is or intermediary.. Between the heavens and the earth. We wait in him and he in us..The green room is the waiting room before going on stage...

Thanks everyone who replied, there's a lot to think about there. I am kind of freaking out a little today, I feel a bit stupid sometimes having these visions, I don't know if it's attack... I was reading about false prophets and my head got done in! I pray that I won't be decieved because I never want to hear those words "depart from me". But then I know that we shouldn't despise prophecy and it's not like it's anything to confuse people, it's more an encouragement than anything else.
Anyhow, gotta get a sleep!

Hang in there honey...The devil messes around with people that have come out of a back ground like ours...But your heart is for the Lord and he will protect you as you grow. God will bring you a sure mentor. Someone you actually know..Not someone you meet on lines. He will show signs confirming.

Ignore difficult obscure instruction with scripture thrown in. Stay with what you know for sure and who you know for sure.

I just shared this with my new pastor and he was quite encouraging, praise God. I see that praying in the spirit breaks down strongholds and that we are going into the holiest of holies, as the levites did. We as Christians are the royal priesthood and when we pray we break/shatter/destroy the work of the enemy, the forces of darkness, which are almost encasing us. Or perhaps that hard exterior is the flesh... or bad experiennces. DH adds "Is not my word like fire declares the Lord and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces, declares the Lord". Which is also about persistence in prayer.
