Yea....this is kind of true. I remember there being something in the bible when Abraham came out of that fight with the 5 kings that was taking over and killing people at the time, they taking LOT and sodom and gomorrah at that time, after the war was won, the king of sodom and gomorrah came out and want to give a portion of the spoils to Abraham, remember....? Abraham refused because He didnt want the kind to bost that he made Abraham rich, with G-d was the one that did that. He only took what food the men and things the men that fought with him had need of.
America, is just getting to the point of giving out money to those with their hands out...We might be getting to the point where we well have to take not that we dont live by our countrys riches but by the Hand of OUR G-D alone!!!

I don't agree 100% with the film and what it said was the way to fix our financial stability and ultimately our national security. With that said IMHO this film is very much propaganda to convince the people that our only hope as a nation is to stop giving retirement checks to the elderly and to stop giving life saving and preventative medical care to the elderly and those who need medical care but cannot afford it in US dollars. I find it interesting that a show about our national defict and an administrations fiscal policies of consumerism was concluded with our only hope is to abandon Social Security, Medicare and Prescription drug plans. Did you know that even when people retire they pay monthly premiums on both medicare and Medicare D (prescription medicine) and copay's on their medicine? Medicare isn't free even after paying into it during their working years.
In the beginning of the movie, it was said in word and in charts that the Social Security Tax and Medicare Tax or FICA tax on earned income paid by both employer and employee is being used to not only pay for the retirees currently drawing Social Security and those currently on Medicare but that tax is being used to pay on our national budget and to service debt. Nowhere in the film does it say that you will stop paying Social Security Tax. But if the makers of this film convince enough people that privatizing Social Security would save us as a nation and offer a future and a hope for our children then popular opinion will change and the people will believe this is the best for our nation. How pray tell will the money being stripped away from Social Security to pay for pork projects, war, trade deficits, national budgets and national debt servicing be recovered if we no longer have Social Security?
That is not being addressed in the movie. You will still have to be taxed at the same rate but not one check will be cut for the elderly. You will have to save for your old age and pay for your current cost of living without that extra (you've earned) in your pocket to do so. Yet, IMHO in less than one generation of abandoning Social Security and Medicare as the only programs to cut that will make a significant difference is embraced, we will have hungry and homeless elderly and many of our sick would not have medical care. If America was mostly agriculture and farming perhaps Social Security could be abandoned but even back then people were suffering unto death when agriculture (growing food) was vastly more prevalent and local than it is today. How much more would the masses suffer when the majority live in urban or suburban settings.

I agree, SOCIAL SECURITY IS NOT AN ENTITLEMENT AS IN THE BELIEF THAT ONE IS DESERVING OF OR ENTITLED TO PRIVILEGES.
