Full Version: Is There Any Rocks Un-turned In Our Search For God?
Christian-Forum.net > General discussion > What do you say?

Since the beginning of our history'
We have searched for God in everything and in every place...

Early pagans in history, seen God in the animals, in the figures of nature', in the figure of women, in the figure of men and we even placed God in the stars and planets...some spiritualist through out our history have even placed God in something they call 'nothing'...one thing did change at a point in time...We turned over another rock and what we saw...we placed God in the image of one man' that was among us...

Is there any rocks that we've not turned over and looked under for God?

We looked in and on the earth, pretty much every corner of it, we've searched the oceans and the seas and now we've got camera's and telescopes watching and looking for any clues in outer space. Our scientist have microscopes and now some new kinda' huge machine to look into the invisible' for clues and any signs...

Our times haven't changed so much, from the beginning of our history...but, for that one moment in time' that all of creation stood still and held a collective breath, that we found somewhere new to see God...when the moment' stopped and motion took hold again...off we went in our search...

We search our bibles, we even search in words' for God...
We have become very' intelligent creatures in all our searching...
So, in frustration and eagerness' our search goes on...we press our hands together and place them under our mouth or press them into our bowed heads and cry out with tears, "please, send back that 'one man'....
When we raise our heads and seperate our hands, they wipe every tear away from our face...and then the search goes on....

Jesus said, "I pray in my father's name"....

And the search goes on...

Many blessings' (with tears and snot)

Isn't it wonderful that the Great Big Lord God who created the whole universe, is small enough to live inside of you and me and to reveal Himself in and thru each and everyone of us/His body here on earth?????

On Christ the solid Rock we stand
all other ground is sinking sand!

That is odd. God is so easily found.

When He observes me
through the eyes of a butterfly or a humblebee
through a fragrant flower or
the eyes of my pet, a cow in the field,
or a bird fouraging for food

In the clouds He flows majestic over me
or lazy in the landscape shape at the horizon
the pattern on a stone, or in that branch
a J shape staff

But most clearly I see God
in the kindness of your words.

"When He observes me

Your eyes are beautiful, the eyes that see 'such as me...can only be the eyes of He'

"He who seeks can not find, He who is not seeking will find"

So lets think of how we seek?

When we look for a horse we imagine a horse in our minds and seek a very similiar image
when we see a horse we recognise it as a horse.
Now seek something you know little about, have no mental image of, how do you find what you seek?

Again you seek a horse but have no idea of what it looks like no mental image.we come across a bird
yes you have a mental image of what a bird looks like and yes your mind sees a bird.
Next we come across a very large long legged dog, yes we know dogs this is a dog a funny dog but still a dog
now this dog eats grass, strange for a dog and boy is it big must be nearly 6 feet to the shoulders with
really skinny legs and funny looking feet????
no it is not a horse it is a dog and you walk on not knowing you have already encountered a horse!!!!!!

When you seek God you have your own personal mental image of him, everything not fitting that
image is not God.
Even if you stand before God himself you will not recognise him for what he is if his image varies from
your own personal image of God.

Only those not seeking God have the ability to recognise him as God

Seeking God is an endless task.

And how will you know him, will you test him and see if he pass's that test
Who is any human to presume to test God for authenticity
God is God he is not here to live up to the expectations of man
Man is here to be tested by God, is man worthy of existance
Presuming to judge Gods authenticity is the devils work not mans.

In my youth I had six go's at winning the "Darwin" award each time a guiding hand helped me to safety
Six times I should be dead
Then I witnessed the birth of the "GRAND SON" and swore my life and soul to the new born king in
the presence of the Father and the Son and the "GRAND SON"
The Father said to me "Behold my son" then Jesus the Son said to me "Behold my son"
And a "GRAND SON" he be!!

I once was a non believer and was not seeking but seeing the truth and the light I now know God.

God is not revealed outside of His Word. We must beware, lest we create a god of our own imaginations.

Revelation 3:8 I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.

Revelation 19:13 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.

In His Love,

Seeking'...reminds me of a conversation I had with my nephew, he desires and yearns to the point of frustration, saying to me, "more than anything I want to travel in outerspace!" He colors pictures of the spaceship he sees in his minds eye that he hopes all his dreams will come true on...

I hang the pictures on my refrigerator with him and I whisper to him, "Your dreams have already come true...remember where you are...on a wonderful planet whirling threw space, and we are blessed to be in outerspace together, experiencing all that is created together...then I tell him, if you go to the moon or mars, let the rest of us go with you too. Together!

Many blessings'
