Haggai
The Lord spoke to Zerubbabel, the governor of Judah and to Joshua, the high priest through Haggai and said…."Is it time for you, O ye, to dwell in your ceiled houses, and this house lie waste?
Haggai 1:13 Then spake Haggai the Lord's messenger in the Lord's message unto the People, saying, "I am with you, saith the Lord."
1:14 And the Lord stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the People; and they came and did work in the house of the Lord of hosts, their God,
The "people" are God's elect. The Holy Spirit is "stirring" His elect now to build the house of the Lord. The house is us…the children of God.
2:3 'Who is left among you that saw this house in her first glory? And how do ye see it now? Is it not in your eyes in comparison of it as nothing?
Historically that is speaking of the Temple of Solomon but spiritually it is going back to the first age….the age in which His elect were chosen. Then, before the fall of Satan, His house was as it will again be in the next age. Full of His children without any influence from Satan….once again a glorious house.
2:6 For thus saith the Lord of hosts; 'Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land;
2:7 And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come and I will fill this house with glory, saith the Lord of hosts.
Revelation 16:18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.
He will shake the earth but the "desire of all nations," His elect, will fill His house. They will be those of the first resurrection:
Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.
