Deduction: They had a son, and they named him Cain !

The name Cain in the Hebrew means - "acquisition", which means - Acquire - which means - "gain or obtain possession by one's own physical exertions. "

I don't read anywhere that "they named him Cain." I don't read anywhere that "they had a son named Cain." What I read is that "she conceived and bare Cain." And...so she did.

The meaning of his name, "possession," doesn't tell us who possessed him but him not being listed in Adam's genealogy may be telling us he wasn't a possession of Adam. That fact speaks volumes.

I wonder if this is where the phrase...being "possessed by Satan" came from?

Now lets look closely at scripture ! It does not tell us that they named the other son Abel either ! Does that mean that your theory "must" claim then, that both were not of Adam and Eve ?

Genesis 4:9 - "And the Lord said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother ? Verse 10 - "the voice of thy brother's "blood" crieth unto me from the gound"

The words - "thy brother's blood" < means that God knew what "He" was talking about ! Blood line - "thy brother's blood"

Thank God, we can count on the very words of God, and not the words of men, who go about with every wind of doctorine to deceive ! Giving out the doctorines of devils !! Lies !

Abel - means - transitory - which means - passing soon or quickly

Which tends to show us, that both their names could have come about after a period of time.

Thus, Cain could have been named "after" he killed his brother Abel . Because Cain means - physical exertions .
