I spoke to my sister this evening.

She is not doing well.

She told me that she is having symptoms that she has never experienced before.

She is seeing black spots in her vision at all times.

She often can feel when she is about to have a seizure.
.
They are happening often.

She was sent home from work for the rest of the week because she is so frail and was having leg tremors.

She does know the Lord.

She has been reading alot of psalms.

She is speaking like she thinks she may not have much time left.

She did say she is scared because of the new symptoms.

What do I say to her?

I love her.

She lived over 2000 miles away from me.

Our family is so divided also.

She told me that if something happens to her, she only wants me and our mother to be part of her death. My father and our other two sisters have not been supportive of her. (or of me for that matter)

My kids and I have prayed that God would turn my fathers heart towards my sister, (towards all of his kids actually) We have prayed for her healing, but also reconciliation within my family.

Some things in life are so hard to understand.

We must simply have faith that God is in control.

Miche I am so sorry to hear this about your sister! Please know that I am praying for her and all of your family. I pray that the Lord will fill your mouth with comforting words for her. I also pray that He will fill her heart with a peace that surpasses anything we can imagine! The Lord bless you sweetie.

I am praying for your sister to be healed and for your family to be reconciled. Time is always short and we should value our friends and family always, I pray that your father will see this and humble his heart towards your sister before it's too late.

Call your sis and ask her if she drinks diet sodas with aspartame sweetner. This website looks weird but is very informative about how this artificial sweeter (equal, Nutrisweet) causes Lupus symptoms and seizure disorders.

And any preservative food should be deleted from the diet. I was relocated to Atlanta
19 years ago, to promote a alternative health consumer workshop.

I promoted under corporate development public education to teach avoiding artifical food,

There are many websites warning against aspartame. The companies that control these products must have a strong connection or ownership in the FDA, because there has been strong evidence of it's toxicity for over twenty years now, yet it's still legal.

I am so sorry...your sister will be in my prayers. Does you sister have a computer. If so you could offer her words of encouragement every day. (I did this with my mother when she was sick and it got to the point that Mom was looking for a personalized message from me.) Rest ministries work with people with a chronic illness. A chronic illness does play havok on the emotions (whether you are a Christian or not) and that may be why your sister is talking about the end of her life. Your sister probably just wants to stop hurting and she probably desires to be in the healthy light of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

My sister is having some tests done.

She had an EEG that sent her into a seizure. She was happy that it was recorded but told them that if they ever wanted to toruture someone that would be a way to do it.

They are testing her now for epilepsy because the strobe lights sent her into that seizure.

They are not sure if it is because of the lupus or something else.\

She is not driving any more. She is afraid of someone getting hurt.

Please pray for her. She is planning her wedding to her highschool sweetheart who she got reaquainted with.

I pray that things start getting better for her.

(not desiring to instill any fear but...) please insist upon your sister to never take a bath alone. I knew a lady with epilepsy who had a seizure while taking a bath alone and drowned. Those prone to seizures should always take showers. (And even if another person is driving, especially in foggy situations, tell your dear sis to avoid looking at school buses as they typically have strobe lights for foggy conditions...other service vehicles may have these too).
