Ever wonder why angels are said to have wings?
Deuteronomy 28:26 And thy carcase shall be meat unto all FOWLS of the air, and unto the BEASTS of the earth, and no man shall fray them away.
1 Samuel 17:44 And the Philistine said to David, Come to me, and I will give thy flesh unto the FOWLS of the air, and to the BEASTS of the field.
That sounds very literal…is it also spiritual? What exactly are the "fowls of the air" and the "fowls of heaven?" Is God saying….your carcase (the flesh which contains the spirit) is there for the fowls and beasts to dine on? Yes, and..…they do. They rip it apart with false teaching. It is a "carcase" because of the spiritually dead soul inside it…..a dead man walking.
Job 28:7 There is a path which no FOWL knoweth, and which the vulture's eye hath not seen:
That is interesting. Looking at this spiritually, and I see no other way in this instance…the "vulture" would be Satan. God's plan…although partially laid out in scripture, apparently has some "path" that none of Satan's fowls know of…..Satan's fallen angels.
Psalms 79:1-2 O God, the heathen are come into Thine inheritance; Thy holy temple have they defiled; They have laid Jerusalem on heaps. The dead bodies of thy servants have they given to be meat unto the FOWLS OF THE HEAVEN, the flesh of thy saints unto the BEASTS OF THE EARTH.
What is God's inheritance? We are. His children. The "heathen" defile His temple…us, with false teaching, traditions, etc. The heathen give bodies (the spiritually dead) to the fowls of the heaven...Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Those are some of the "fowls of heaven." There are good and evil. The heathen also give the saints, His elect, to the beasts of the earth. The beasts….those that try to destroy with the four hidden dynasties….Finance, Politics, Education and Religion.
Jeremiah 16:4 They shall die of grievous deaths; they shall not be lamented; neither shall they be buried; but they shall be as dung upon the face of the earth: and they shall be consumed by the sword, and by famine; and their carcases shall be meat for the FOWLS OF HEAVEN, and for the BEASTS OF THE EARTH.
This speaks of their spiritual death. They won't be buried or mourned over as…they don't know they are dead....spiritually dead. They are consumed by the sword, (words of Satan,) by famine (for hearing the Words of the Lord [Amos 8:12]) and their flesh is given to the fowls of heaven….spiritual powers on high and the beasts of the earth….the ungodly ones in power.
Daniel 2:38 And wheresoever the children of men dwell, the BEASTS OF THE FIELD and the FOWLS OF THE HEAVEN hath He given into thine hand, and hath made thee ruler over them all. Thou art this head of gold.
This was the IMAGE king Nebuchadnezzar saw that "shall be in the latter days" [Dan. 2:28] The image of the beast? The head of the image was gold…and the king of Babylon is the head of gold [Dan.2:38] The king of Babylon was a type for Satan so he is the head of the great image and he is very powerful for "God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory." [Dan.2:37] God allows Satan to control the beasts and fowls wherever the "children of men dwell." And...he is "ruler over them all." Satan controls the ungodly on earth and the ungodly in heaven.....for a time.
Revelation 19:17-18 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the FOWLS THAT FLY IN THE MIDST OF HEAVEN, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.
Revelation 19:21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.
Wow….The great battle. All those that have taken the mark, worshipped the beast and his image and have the number of his name…..are slain with the sword of the Lord….His Word, His truth. Who are the "fowls" of heaven then…..His elect….us.
