Last night, at our Prayer revival, we heard a message out of John 15. In the message, we learned why some people who pray, get answers and some seem to never be answered.

JESUS is the VINE and we are the branches. Branches have to be pruned, by our HEAVENLY FATHER, who is the HUSBANDMAN; in order to produce good fruit. HE, the FATHER, purges our branch, so that we can produce more fruit. Every so often, dead wood, is removed from the VINE.. Dead wood cannot produce good fruit. So, even though we may claim to be from the same VINE, we are known by the fruit we produce. There are conditions that we must abide by, in order to produce good fruit. (See the highlighted verses)

John 15:1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. 2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. 3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. 4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. 5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. 6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. 8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. 9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. 10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love ;even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. 11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. 12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. 13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. 14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. 15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. 16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. 17 These things I command you, that ye love one another.

Matthew 3
8 Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance,

Jer 23:5 Behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and he shall reign as king and deal wisely, and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.
Jer 23:6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely; and this is his name whereby he shall be called: Jehovah our righteousness.

Jer 33:15 In those days, and at that time, will I cause a Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.
Jer 33:16 In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely; and this is the name whereby she shall be called: Jehovah our righteousness.

She (The Bride) is called Jehovah our righteousness, she is the Branch (Jesus is the vine)

Joh 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; so neither can ye, except ye abide in me.

The Branch has many names in the Bible. The (true) church, the Bride, the Man Child, the elect, the overcomers, the sons of God, New Jerusalem, Temple of God etc.

Amen, Endtime.

C, I am saying this with all love for you. wub.gif I'm not sure how you understand the manchild, as a branch, when HE is the VINE. HE is also the ROOT. The "she", you are referring to in Jeremiah, is Israel. Yes, Israel, is a part of the branches. The Church, is grafted in branches, yet, we also produce fruit. Israel and Gentiles are seperate and yet, they are of the same VINE. Not trying to confuse the subject, just clarifying my understanding. Please understand that I will not argue or debate the WORD. Praying that you will respect this.

Back on topic:

In this topic, we see, that the branch is each one of us. JESUS is the VINE, and the FATHER, is the HUSBANDMAN, that takes care of pruning the brances. The LORD is expressly speaking about the type of FRUIT we produce. We will also begin to see, why we why this is an important understanding in our Prayer Life. The WORD says;

John 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Some things to think about concerning the passages from John 15:

How are we to respond to the LORD pruning our banches?

What happens when we ar pruned or purged of dead wood?

Who are we to abide in?

What happens when we are abiding in HIS WORD?

What is the FRUIT that we will have?

What is the commandment, of JESUS?
C
I am just agreeing with the Bible, which says WE are the BRANCH and Jesus is the vine. The church is seen in many of the prophecies , they are a shadow of the church. As Israel is a shadow of the church too.
Jer 33 and Jer 23 has TWO verses that are the same:
1) first first, the Branch is a MAN
2) second verse the Branch is a WOMAN.

BOTH are called "Jehovah OUR righteousness" (Meaning these verses are speaking about GROUPS of people) So the MAN and the WOMAN are both pointing to the same group called : Jehovah our righteousness.

Also notice that the Bible is pointing to another time (that time....then end time )

Here are both verses again:

This is not talking about Jesus as a person, nor is it talking about Israel in the letter: Its talking about "he" and "her" The man child (Christ in us the hope of glory) and in another way the Bride .

Jesus is the vine and the Bride/man child is the Branch that must bear fruit (Christ) which come when we receive the SEED (Word /Matthew, parable of the sower) The SEED brings forth FRUIT after its own kind. God brings forth Himself in His people. We are being conformed into HIS (WORD) image.

That is what the Bible teach.

C, 1dsz5e4.gif and so do I.

Back on topic:

Notice the verse that is highlighted.

John 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

This is what this topic is about. It is about producing good fruit, through intercessory prayer. In order to produce good fruit, we need to have the LORD'S WORD within our heart. It is so that when we pray, we are praying according to HIS WORD. If we are praying according to HIS WORD, when we ask, it will be done. Have you ever experienced prayer that is answered, quickly, while some prayers never seem to have an answer? Perhaps you need to look at your prayer life, and how it aligns with the WORD. Just food for thought.

May the LORD bless you.
