When did Lucifer come into being? Before humans? Before the earth?

Was He/She/It created by God?

What authority does Lucifer have? and did God give or allow this authority?

How can I tell when the bible is referring to Lucifer? What name does the bible give for Lucifer?

I don't have time to give you all the verses right now, but here it is in a short kind of explanation.

Lucifer was created with the other angels before the heaven and the earth were created.

He "had" (past tense) authority, his authority, was as an angel of light.

He lost this authority, when he went up against God. The other angels fought against him, but because they were made equal, there was no winner. So God cast the devil (formerly Lucifer) into the earth. Which took place between Gen. 1:1 and verse 2.

The bible does not call Lucifer by that name anymore. He/she is called Satan/Devil. In heaven - male gender by name, and in the earth - female gender by name. He/she, is refered too as the "serpent" in Genesis, and the "whore" in the book of Revelation.

Satan is her female gender name
Devil is his female gender name - Jesus said, you are of your father the devil - the father of all lies.

Did God know that Lucifer was going to be against him, before He created him?

Yes , of course he did. But you have to understand, that God didn't "make" him that way. He made him as the "angel of light". He went against God, and God cast him into the debts of the earth and he then became the angel of darkness.

Its called "free will".
