once again. Rejected by peers review. These bible verses do not say much about the use of cursing words or how it is a sin for using foul languages.

Ephesian 4:29 Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear.

1 Timothy 6:3-5 If anyone advocates a different doctrine and does not agree with sound words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and with the doctrine conforming to godliness, he is conceited and understands nothing; but he has a morbid interest in controversial questions and disputes about words, out of which arise envy, strife, abusive language, evil suspicions, and constant friction between men of depraved mind and deprived of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain.

Proverbs 6:16-17 There are six things which the LORD hates, Yes, seven which are an abomination to Him:
Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, And hands that shed innocent blood,

yehhhh

I have found some for share

James 3:9-11 With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God’s likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be. Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring?

Colossians 3:8 But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander and filthy language from your lips

Colossians 4:6 Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person.

Proverbs 16:23-24 The heart of the wise instructs his mouth And adds persuasiveness to his lips. Pleasant words are a honeycomb, Sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.

Proverbs 25:11 Like apples of gold in settings of silver Is a word spoken in right circumstances.

Gosh, your welcome.

Your question, is such, that no man can answer it ! Maybe that is why your having such a problem with this !

The verses quoted show that "a foul" spirit, will only brings about a "foul language" , and foul language is not of God !

Mark 9:25 - In this verse , Jesus called the "foul spirit" a "dumb and deaf" spirit. In verse 26 it says that the "spirit" - "cried".

The spirit did not cry literally. It spoke foul language. If you go and look up the word "cried" it is only used only twice in the OT. Yet, this word "cried" is used here in Mark. This is translational error. Or translational change. A change of a word, from its original meaning to a more modern day meaning. The translators did this.

If the spirit is dumb and deaf, how did it cry ? It cried out spiritually, foul language. It was not something that they "heard" with their literal ears.

If I was to tell you that you were 'dumb', you would be offended, correct ? If I made reference to you in a wording that does nothing more than to slander you or call you something that you literally are not. This is then "foul language". Calling you a dumb ---, would be "of" a foul spirit. Calling you any name or names that imply your stupidity or ignorance other than straight forward talk is not of the One true God. Thus it is unrighteous, and anything that is unrighteous is sin.

By presenting you with the verses I did, "should" have help you realize this. Now, I don't mind pointing this out to you in a more specific way as I have here. But it stands to reason, that foul language is not "of" God , nor is it to edify and build up someone. It can not be used to reprove, nor correct anyone. It is a means by which certain people within their minds , can not express themselves in a godly manner. So they resort to an ungodly manner of expression. Unrighteousness "is" sin !

Job 31:30 Neither have I suffered my mouth to sin by wishing a curse to his soul.

The thing about dealing with the tongue, is the fruits of the spirit, because at all times we have to control our month. I know some people thats real nice, and sometimes words come out wrong or harsh, but its something that we all have to master, that tongue.

Proverbs 16:32 He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.

Proverbs 13:3 He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.

James 3:5 Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!

3:6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.

3:8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.

This a example of Israel sinning against God, and running off at the month.

Jeremiah 9:1 Oh that my head were waters, and mine eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people!

9:2 Oh that I had in the wilderness a lodging place of wayfaring men; that I might leave my people, and go from them! for they be all adulterers, an assembly of treacherous men.

9:3 And they bend their tongues like their bow for lies: but they are not valiant for the truth upon the earth; for they proceed from evil to evil, and they know not me, saith the LORD.

9:4 Take ye heed every one of his neighbour, and trust ye not in any brother: for every brother will utterly supplant, and every neighbour will walk with slanders.

9:5 And they will deceive every one his neighbour, and will not speak the truth: they have taught their tongue to speak lies, and weary themselves to commit iniquity.

9:8 Their tongue is as an arrow shot out; it speaketh deceit: one speaketh peaceably to his neighbour with his mouth, but in heart he layeth his wait.

Matthew 12:34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

12:35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

12:36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

Ephesians 5
3 But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints;
4 neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks.
