I believe water was created long ago,,,God flooded the earth,,,and not the flood of Noah,,,so water existed,,,well,,,ages ago.....

Good Question when Did God make water i am going to go on the third day by these scriptures in Genesis

Genesis 1 English standard version

5 God called the light day and the darkness he called night And their was evening and their was morning the first day

6 And God said let there be an expance in the midst of the waters and let it seperate the waters from the waters

7 And God made the expance and seperated the waters that were under the expance from the waters that were above the expance and it was so

8 And God called the expance heaven and there was evening and there was morning the second day

9 And God said let the waters under the heavens be gathered together in one place and let the dry land appear And it was so

10 God called the dry land earth and the waters that were gathered together he called seas And God saw that it was good

11 And God said Let the earth sprout vegetation plants yeilding seed and fruit trees bearing fruit in which is their seed each according to its kind on the earth And it was so

12 The earth brought forth vegetation plants yielding seed according to their own kinds and trees bearing fruit in which is their seed each according to its kind And God saw that it was good

13 And there was evening and their was morning the third day

this is how i know he created the water on the third day by high lighting these passages i have given you you can see the water was created on the third day

Thanks for the replies everyone.

Damo and Levite, I haven't seen where it says God created water on the third day, it just says God separated the waters.

While, here we have water, and, no mention of it being created:

Gen 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

Deep (from Strong's Hebrew Dictionary)
H8415
תּהם תּהום
tehôm tehôm
teh-home', teh-home'
(Usually feminine) from H1949; an abyss (as a surging mass of water), especially the deep (the main sea or the subterranean water supply): - deep (place), depth.

So, the "deep" was water or oceans, or so the wording would seem to indicate. But it doesn't say God made it then. So, I suppose the question still stands, when did God make water?

"In the beginning." Not the re-beginning of our present age but the very beginning when he "created the heaven and the earth."

. . . deep (place), depth.

Depth of what? The FACE of the waters! Not the waters, but the depth of the face! What is that face?

.) Concerning the second day, the Scriptures say,

"And God said, 'Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water.' So God made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. And it was so. God called the expanse 'sky'." (Gen. 1:6-8)

On the second day God created the sky around the earth which we call the atmosphere. The atmosphere is the sky which surrounds the world and contains the air we breathe. That same atmosphere protects everything and everyone from the heat of the sun and many other calamities. Without this special sky that God created on the second day, man could not live on the earth.

And I suppose that we would die if we saw and KNEW and would have no expansion of thought if everything that GOD IS when it comes to the Power of God and all that he has made at our disposal of understanding God and HIS power...for our OWN PROTECTION and BY HIS LOVE he only reveals to us what is needed...

And this is what I believe he tells us when he refers to the DEPTH of the waters...HE IS THE DEPTH, deep calleth out to Deep.

in his gentleness and kindness and great mercy, he even shielded Moses' eyes when he went up to the Mountain of the LORD...for who can enter in, who can comprehend...THE LOVE and RICHES OF HIS GLORY.

he provides all our needs by his power, but we will never own his power,(The Garden of Eden comes to mind)... it is freely given in small doses for his purpose but never to be taken lightly, and I suppose that he only gives us what we can handle as to not get puffed up...

but if it is held on to and not received as a gift to be given (the essence of his Mighty LOVE),then I suppose it is like the sour grape on the vine...but still all things are given by God for every good and perfect gift comes down from the Father of Lights, what we do with it is the free will he has given us...and if we use if unwisely we reap what we sow.

As like tending HIS GARDEN.

and even God himself I believe gave himself freely,(he gave all his LOVE on the Cross and overcame the sins of the world...there ya go, GAVE and for us to Receive to also give... for it is all about the power of the Holy Spirit ..giving and receiving....choosing life or death just my small human capacity to grasp the Awesomeness of God.
