I was just told that a girl I once was friends with is going to prison for passing out these certain pills that can kill you if you mix them with anything like alcohol. She will be charged with 3 deaths of people I knew.

Last year Bert (AKA BB Slags and Beautiful Bert) mysteriously died alone. He was far from God. He was a local punk rock icon since the early 80s. I knew him since 86 and even named my old dog after him. I brought him to church once after I was saved.

Then, in December, another man I knew ODed, Don. He was a brother of another old friend, Dean. Dean was the vocals in 10-96, a local punk band that was famous in those circles since the 80s. We all loved Dean and looked up to him and his band. He ODed on Halloween in 1998. I had tried to reach out to him a few times. I was even praying for him the night he died.

Recently, my old pal Little Rob and another guy I did not know, Booger, ODed. An investigation pointed the evidence to Dean's niece, Jessica. She is going to prison. The idea is that she also knew the deadly effects of the pills since the first death. It was like methadone but usually comes in pill form and mixing with anything can kill you.

I also found out today that an old friend, Gaylord, died last week. He was a very firey man of God full of love, faith, prayer and power. People are even praying for him to rise up and come back to life right now. No matter what happens, he was a fine example of a man of God. He will be missed. I also knew his daughter. She committed suicide a few years ago. I know that he took that real hard. She was raise in his previous marraige that was not alligned with God's kingdom. !2 years ago he really pressed into God and stayed that way. Untill we meet again... I love you Gaylord.

I have never had so many people that I know die in such a short time as the last year.

I loved these people. We shared memories. I just pray that God will use these deaths to draw others to him. He can do it. God bless the friends and family.

I know that the judge of all the earth will do what is right. I try to find comfort in this truth. God knows.

Thanks for the encouragement. Lil Rob was only 29 or 30 years old. We spent a lot of time together. He was so respected by the younger ones because he was over the top in exessiveness of all sorts. He idolized G G Allin. I knew that at one point he was even going to church for a little while.

Anyhow, be reminded by these deaths of life's shortness. Love others. Forgive. Bear with one another in love. Be a blessing to all that you can...

Sorry brother for you losses. It's always hard when we loose those we love. But it sure does remind us of how temporary our life on this Earth is.

That revelation became loud and clear to me at the age of eighteen when I lost my father.

We can always rejoice when we know they are believers. But its really hard when we know they are lost.

we... and the world have somehow? just become so nonchalant to the fact of death.. we (moreso, the world) sees it often.. know it will happen to us (them) .. and continue on like we have forever.. how can it be??

My prayers and my heart goes out to you and the families. I lost my dear, dear brother days ago as well and it is difficult to think of a world were faces that we knew are not in it.

I have a list, which groes longer each year, with the names of those I will meet again someday. I helps me to have it in my bible.
