You've got to have a sense of humor sometimes, especially at an Iraqi Checkpoint !

For those of you who don't know who Harry Caray was, he was a passionate and naturally
funny baseball announcer for his team, the Chicago Cubs. He was with them for MANY YEARS.
Lots of people impersonate him because, well, he was just plain funny!

Here is a soldier in Iraq at one of the checkpoints, and he did his version of Harry Caray - too funny!

Oh that was great Zeetz....LOL.

I don't think those Iraqis knew what to think of that guy.

They probably thought something was wrong with him...lol.

Hi Chole'! How ya doin'? smile.gif

Yes, that cracked me up too when I saw it! I loved Harry Caray! But I am a staunch Red Sox fan...

The soldier did the standard Harry Caray routine of "if the moon was made of spare ribs, would ya eat it?" thing... and I don't think he realized the Iraqis don't eat pork (!) ...and they don't "polish it off with a tall cool Budwiser" either ! lol So I agree - the Iraqi didn't understand what was being said, but I see he somehow knew it was all in fun, and was laughing too! I hope no one takes any offense to mentioning of the Budwiser, it is all part of the Harry Caray impersonation, and "Just for Fun". And I think our soldiers are wonderful people. God bless them as they do their duty under most difficult circumstances...

Well I thought it was funny.

I'm doing well. Just working on my class work and taking breaks every now and then.

Talk to you later.
