Jon Knowles went to be with the Lord on 9/4. His IM here was Brother Jon.
I am sad for myself but happy for him!!! He has entered into the eternal rest. He endured much
tribulation when he started walking with the Lord and was faithful to the Lord and such an example
of encouraging and loving the brethren. Just speaking with him a few times was real testimony to the life
of Jesus shining through a man. The Unleavened Bread Bible Study will be talking about Jon's testimony
and earthly life tonight 9/7 at 8:30pm EST.

Brethren, sorry for this late announcement. There was much running for David to get prepared to preach at the funeral of our dear friend Jon Whitten Knowles, who lived in Birmingham, AL and went to be with the Lord on September 4th. The funeral was at Rockco Funeral Home in Montevallo, AL. Jon's two daughters, Kelli Victoria Knowles and Katherine Olivia Knowles, were in attendance. His father, Charles Whitten Knowles and brother Martin Randal Knowles, were also there. His mother, Billie Jon Martin Knowles, had already passed on.
Jon left quite a legacy. David shared the great work that Jon had done in producing the Panoramic Bible Study TV programs that are being seen all over the world and his art in Hidden Manna For the End Times. He also shared the Great News of what God has done and will do through faith.
Although David was the only scheduled speaker, he asked if any would like to give testimony and many friends of UBM through Jon's work spontaneously arose to share their testimonies of his fruit in their lives. They are from a thriving home fellowship there, of which Jon was a great shepherd. It was quite a moving testament to his work of just the last four years after becoming a true disciple of Jesus Christ.
Sovereign God was passed out at the family grave site.
We are sure Jon was looking on in approval and excitement and that great fruit will come from this, too.
Jon, we are so glad to have known you and borne the fruit of your work. Rest with the Lord until we meet again soon.
Please join us live tonight at 7:30 PM CDT for the Unleavened Bread Bible Study. David will share more about Jon and his funeral.

I am sitting here in shock. I have missed his posts for a few months now and assumed he was busy with his art. From his photograph he looked young and healthy so this is...a shock.
I am very saddened by this as he was one of the first posters I communicated with when I first joined. He will be missed.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Brother Jon. He was one of the first posters who welcomed a newcomer (me) with wide open arms. I have been missing and thinking about him. Thank-you so much for bringing this to the attention of the forum.

Sad to hear of his passing. He is with the Lord.
I found that Brother Jon came here because he had Google(d) his name and had found that an article he wrote was posted on this forum.
Here is the thread that led Brother Jon here (it is the one with his article):

I, too, was wondering where Jon was after being led to forum thread where he previously posted. This may have been what prompted me to have this dream:
I had a dream awhile ago, about being in what I would describe as a huge workplace environment. I asked someone where Jon was, because I heard that he was moving to the mountains soon. They pointed me in his direction. As I approached the long silver desk he was sitting at, I sat down in a chair in front of the desk and we began to talk... it's as if we knew each other. We talked face-to-face. I said something like, "I heard you're moving to the mountains... so am I". He reached over on his desk and picked up a picture of where he was going. It was a beautiful mountainous location with many homes scattered throughout. It appeared the the picture would have been taken just before sunset.
He was also one of the main posters I remember when I joined the forum. I knew he was suffering from an illness, and I prayed for him many times. He will be missed!
Praying for his family and close friends... for their great loss.
Thank-You for letting us know. God bless you!

Yes, indeed, our sweet brother Jon is with the Lord! I count myself fortunate to have known him and selfishly wanted him to stay. I believe that Jon stands with our Lord Jesus as He prepares to meet His bride. Brother Jon was a blessing to many and very much a blessing to me. I will miss him dearly. Father, please comfort Jon's loved ones that remain here, in the name of Jesus. Amen!

Jon Knowles spoke of his great love for his wife and children. May they also have rest and soon they will also be walking in faith, as Jon diligently prayed.
They will have comfort from the God Jon served and loved...and Jon will be rejoicing from heaven!!!

I'm sad for his family who are missing him. But I know he is very happy where he is.
When someone dies who is lost... it is so easy to grieve.
But even though we are sad to loose those we love....when they are believers....it really is something to celebrate about because of where they are now.
May the Lord comfort his family and bring them peace and comfort during this time.
Thank you for sharing the news.

As many of you, Im sitting here shocked. I too was just recently thinking how strange that it was that I had not seen Jon's posts in quite a while.
He was an incredible artist with an amazing gift and talent from the Lord.
Its sad to know that I wont be able to read what the Lord is teaching and showing you dear Brother Jon, I'll truly miss you.
Soon we'll come to the end of lifes journey and perhaps never meet anymore,
Till we gather in the heaven's bright city, far away on that beautiful shore.
If we never meet again this side of heaven,
As we struggle through this world and its strife
Theres another meeting place somewhere in heaven
By the side of the river of life
Where the charming roses bloom forever,
And where separations comes no more.
If we never meet again this side of heaven,
I'll meet you on that beautiful shore.
Will miss you Brother,
Till we meet In CHrist alone,
Chris

Thank you for letting us know. I was just thinking about my dear brother yesterday. He was taking longer and longer to answer my emails and I knew it was because he was not well. I am going to miss him. Jon knew the Word and always spoke as an oracle of God.
We have his posts on this forum. Its something that he left here, and we can go back and read them with care. They are all based in Scripture and he honored the Word in all he said and did.
Jon went to the Lord in faith. He arrived still believing the promises and he did not let go. I praise God for allowing him to do that. His suffering was tremendous and I cannot even begin to imagine what our brother went through.Yet, he praised God, and clung to the Word..I learned such a lot from him and I will truly miss him. He was a soul mate and they are few and far between.
His one wish was that he would be able to go through the tribulation, because he had a true understanding of what it meant. He understood the purposes of God in it, and he was excited and wanted to be part of it. But now he has joined the great cloud of witnesses and will be cheering us on.
I will miss you brother! But I will see you soon again.
Your brother

There is a testimony about the funeral here about 15 minutes in.
Many testimonies were shared of how Jon's life over the past 4 years bore much fruit and light.
http://www.unleavenedbreadministries.org/sabs/090708.mp3May His witness encourage us to run the race with the holiness, perserverance and love of the brethren Jon has. (present tense because he's not dead- but TRULY ALIVE!)

And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the deceased who have died in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.

May his memory be a blessing to his family, to this forum and to all who cherished and loved his presence. The grand reunion will take place soon.

I'm just seeing this string for the first time tonight.
Jon knows the answers to everything we argued about now.
Today l was going through my pm files deleting as my box is full. I came to one from Jon where he apologized to me for being harsh...I feel saddened by our loss. But our loss is his gain and all the questions are answered for him. (I wonder if he's peeking in on the forum?)
Has anybody heard about Jeep?

I think the best way to honour Brother Jon's memory, and
the thing he would have most wanted,
is a tribute thread.
I would like to suggest,

Hi, brothers and sisters! Greetings to all of you in the name of Jesus!
I thought that a few of you might be interested in looking at the works that Jon so lovingly labored over in the last years of his life.
On this page, each of the listings that show to be "panoramic" are Jon's finished product.
On this page (pdf file), all of the artwork was done by our Brother Jon.

I applaud him for his courage and stance for the truth.
