I recently ordered a book called:

Who's Who in the Bible: An Illustrated Biographical Dictionary (Reader's Digest Association)
Covering about 500 of the more important names in the Old and New Testaments, this alphabetical dictionary/encyclopedia is a good basic reference source. The entries vary in length from a short paragraph to several pages. References to the biblical context as well as additional information from scholarship and tradition are included. A pronunciation guide and meaning is provided for each name, as are cross references to other entries. In addition to the main section, the book also has an appendix called "Everyone in the Bible" that lists every name found in the Bible along with a brief description and biblical reference to the place where the name first appears.

I just had to share with you how great this book is! If you ever think about getting a reference book on people in the bible, this one is really nice. The one I got has a hard cover and illustrations. It goes into great detail on each person. Would be nice for bible studies. Very interesting! My son has even been looking at it.

I also ordered a book called:
Twelve Ordinary Men by John MacArthur
(About the 12 Disciples and Jesus). I think it will be interesting to read. I find these men to be very interesting since they were just fisherman, tax collectors and average guys that Jesus chose. I look forward to reading it.

Just wanted to share this with you. smile.gif
