Chinnam,

I know that a lot of it depends on how many people there are within the orphanage to take care of the children, and it matters what age too, as if they are older, then they need teachers and many other things the younger ones don't, where the younger ones need more supervision. So just going by logic, just like schoolteachers but more involved due to the lack of home life, there should be at least one teacher/provider for 2-3 children. If the staff is shorter, then the babies/children get less attention and that would make it much harder for the children to adapt and be comfortable in their surroundings. What babies need are lots of contact, attention, and love. The more people that are involved with each child, the more safe and well adjusted the child will become. Of course, I am going by life experience, but also it applies to nursing homes too and I have worked in them as well, the elderly are so much neglected in our country, I have seen them treated badly and have no visitors, or nobody to answer their requests for the necessities they would like, a warm blanket, someone to give them a hug, etc. Some nursing homes, as well as orphanages, are better than others, but many that I have been in (nursing homes) made me really sick to see how the staff neglected and treated the elderly. I know when a friend of mine went overseas to adopt her baby, the baby was in a crib with 4 other children. The crib had hardly enough room for them to move and they would step on each other. I felt really bad for them. She wanted to take them all home. sad.gif I do pray you find the answer to your question and your orphanage will grow and be prosperous.

Being that i was in a foster home, called a girls group home, orphanage are run and should be run diffrently than a home. But the thing is, if you have many diffrent ages of kids, this is their home and should be made to help! Thanks goodness that you arent in american, or you would be stopped up with so many roals and regs. that you wouldnt be able to move with out them saying so! If you take it on your self to teach and show those kids that that is there home, safty and love found there, to pull in as a team to make what G-d gave you, to run smothly.

Make a point to make teams with the kids, giving jobs for them to do, and lots of love, not ever playing favorites, you will find that they will pull together and make it all run smothly.

Make share you arent taking to much on that those working cant handle. I not my hubby, he is great a working when he has very little time and seems over loaded...he thrives on this, as is able to get the job done when others would cave under it. this is the kind of workers you need, I will pray for you to have them.

Brother, I know that G-d would let you take on more than what you can handle, so if you seem over loaded, set back and look at what you might be able to do about it. I find when I feel this way, I just have to reorganize myself, as well as get read of the trash, or just ask for help! I cant do all things, nor can you, that is why I said, set up chores for those kids you have to do, that way, it helps make the house they live in run smothers for all!

My foster parents has posted chores lists in the areas that need cleaned and that helps us know what needed to be done, and each week we got a new job to do, some big easyer to do than others and that rotation made it fair for all, they even did chores, showing all have to pull together to make a house run as a team...or family! what you give is the only family they have!

I think you are doing much of this aready but I don hope that most of this helps, or at less lets you know, that I love what you are giving those kids, a home and family!

Hugs!

Chinnam,

Thank you for the schedule. I think you are doing just fine, and I know it is a challenge with so many children, I pray the Lord sends some assistance to you in the way of people and finances to help you. I am thinking of the children getting enough food, and of course, all the things you face each day. You are doing the Lord's work, and He will bless you greatly for your faithfulness and love.

how good is the ground were you are brother chinnam ? the reason i am asking this can you get seeds that you can plant like tommatoes quecumbers letters cabage and pumpking and potatoes

were my fiancee lives in the philippines their are small blocks of land being used to grow rice were our new church is brother we have small blocks were the neighbours have gotten together and are growing rice for their familys

when its harves time the neighbour next to us uses our lawn and grounds and he drys his rice on the sheets he puts on the ground

i even saw this in the city chinnam were little sections are being used for growing rice

our neighbour shares the rice he harvests with us his brother is a police officer and he works on the land

orphaneges dont have to be big brother i have seen big ones in africa and south africa

my fiancee takes on orphans but what we do we place them with our members and then we seek sponcer ship

we have say 9 orphans in our care being taken care off by some of our members

we also look after poor kids chinnam we have over 150 poor kids going to our school on the main churches grounds

we have 4 teachers and they all get a wage not much but enough to live on and when they need food our members help the teachers out all they have to do is ask chinnam

most of our sponcers come from America chinnam i am know talking to sevral pastors in Australia on my fiancee behalf i have aproached my two pastors hear i have been asked to write down our needs so what i have done is point out what the sponcer ship does the kids wil write a letter and send it to the sponcers in america with a photo of them selves and the sponcers in return pray over the kids they are sponcering and what ever the child needs my fiancee has to just send them an email or letter and they sponcers do the rest

my fiancee said she has sevral more poor kids who have had no education wanting to sign up so she is talking with their parents and wil give me the number of new poor kids who wil be signing up

the reason i am asking how good your soil is india is this could cut costs down and this will give the kids a chance to learn something new as i know your country has a lot of small farms

you can even have a section at the back were you have chickens pigs and goats for eating only

i grew up living in and out off goverment youth refuges hear in australia we have boys homes and girls homes and the boys homes and girls homes have over 500 young orphans

what is happening know this department that i use to work for gives this orginisation life with out barriers goverement grants to were they can buy their own homes and the orphans end up in life with out barriers care they even take on new borns and kids with disabiletys like down sydrom and so on chinnam they stay in the homes perminet or until a family adopts them

i lived in shelters for most of my youth chinnam and these goverment shelters were big chinnam they had double bunk beds and 6 to a room

you are doing good chinnam and i am praying that the lord puts the right people around you who will be able to support you and the kids in your care and your teacher

have you thought of getting sponcers for your kids in your care chinnam ? talk to brother chrio and he wil be able to point out what a sponcer does

we find sponcer ship works but you have to get some one who wil be wiling to committ to one child

the kids in our care who are going to our school have sponcers who love them and wil go the extra mile for example if you sponcer one child your sponcer ship wil cover food for the child and family books uniform and medical costs

a sponcer ship for one child in my fiancee country is only $60 to $70 a month and it goes to the child and the childs family chinnam

right now i feel chrio is bussy with making sure his home is ok after that storm that hit new orleans but i am sure if you email chrio he can tell you and fill you in each country also is diffrent chinnam
