I was thinking the other day about those who are terminally or near death due to whatever circumstance. I feel so deeply that they need to be consulted and talked to about God and their salvation. Do hospitals, nursing homes, hospice or any type of institution always have a Minister, Reverend or an appointed person talk to these individuals before they pass? I pray they do. How sad for those who die tragically, suddenly and don't get that one last chance to accept Jesus. (I know even though some say they have had a lifetime to do so).
I know before my Grandma passed we had a Minister go to her home and speak with her. Her face of worry and pain turned into a face of peace after the Minister left. She lived for a couple more weeks and she was a changed person in those last two weeks. It was beautiful, she was beautiful.
Does anyone here feel extra compelled to speak to those who are ill?
You see, I prayed the other day and asked God what I can do to serve Him better......what I can do here on earth during all of this cruelty in the world. Then I had the people who are sick and dying come into my mind. I don't know if this was a thought of my own or a revelation from God telling me that something needs to be done. I suppose either way, it is important.
