The Joel Osteen thread instigates a thought...why does one get beat up for being upbeat? Is it more fun to slay than to pray? I see that a lot. Is prosperity an evil to be dealt with? Inspired, uninspired, respired, expired....tired, wired, fired....or hired...mostly mired....folks like to think the worst of others who step out in faith to do a work.

A worn out old mule is plodding along on a bumpy old dirt road. He is pulling a two wheeled cart made of wood. The wheels click and clack over the ruts. There is a treasure and store of beautiful apples, oh so neatly piled in the cart. They are heaped up to an extremely well rounded pile high above the sides of the cart. They are beautifully red and shimmering in the sun. As the mule and cart progress, the way before them becomes ever more and more rough. The beautiful apples are jostled and justled this way and that and they begin to tumble here a little there a little and to fall one by one along the wayside. As the scene progresses, the pile becomes noticeably depleted. A voice speaks and says, Will you have anything left to sell when you arrive at the market?"

Beware that as you progress along the ever roughening path of this life of faith, that you do not lose your beautiful fruit and pearls of wisdom. They are so easily jostled loose from the pile and let fall. Know what you believe and why you believe it! Do not take anything for granted. If you are unsure, find out! The blind cannot lead the blind! Doctrinal correctness is tantamount to any enduring success. The stresses of enjoining the enemy are able to dislodge your fruit and to allow many of your gems to bruise and to fall by the wayside. Be strong in the faith, or be in danger of loss of your apples of wisdom. If you can not play with the big boys, (Satanists, atheists, agnostics, alternative Christian viewpoints etc) stay out of the playpen. It will be medicine to your soul! Basic concepts of the "seemings" of God are hard to be understood! Simplistic reasoning will not save the day. Fundamental truths are ripe for the picking. Be able to support the weight of issues with scripturally accurate leadings and if unable, do not venture forth. It will save you from much hardness. God will not espouse your meanderings apart from His truth. Truth is apparently in the eye of the beholder. What is interpreted as truth in this eye is gross error in the next one. If you can attest to your brand of truth with all affirmation, then say on. If not, mum is the word.

People do like to expound the lack of virtue in others don't they? I have partaken of evil fruit in this forum also...but the new and real me is holding fast of sound doctrine as I subscribe to it...the women on this forum have been most proflundly induced to wretchedness of late...(not all) and yet Joel Osteen is a foul bucket mouth of perversion?

Maybe that was "going threw" the TROPICS because most topics here are hot and sweaty...the devil has gone down to Georgia...and Main and LA...he does it in one night just like Santa...bag and all....(if ya get my drift)

You're right.. we do kind of loose some of it along the way. Maybe we should retrace our steps and go back and look for the missing axehead.. The Holy Spirit is not unwilling to help us retrieve what's lost. Weather the road..

if we're working as the students of Elisha were...and are willing to reach out and retrieve what is lost after we're shown it, then we will be able to continue our work. I think not borrowing the words others (like a borrowed ax) will keep us out of some trouble...for when we borrow the cart becomes fuller than can be handled.. So let's pick the fruit from our own backyards and carefully tend to it.

Even if we make mistakes the Lord will step in for his purposes.

Thanks for the comments...I think a missing axehead is tantamount to a dull axehead...you can't cut bait without a blade. In passing, I wonder if the Holy Spirit works with gay blades? There are blades of lesser glory among us. I am judging by my standard. Is that allowed? Others do it. It is like white bread in the bowels...sluggish and bloating. Giive me the flax of the axe....I need sharpening...and free flowing from any bowel obstructions...don't know where that came from...fruit is a laxative I guess....even if some tumbles and falls...I hope to get to the market with a full load...I have to, as you suggest, allow the Holy Spirit to retrace my steps and pick up that which has tumbled of my cart.....

as Elisha's student had (we are told not to borrow) God knows the road of life is bumpy and he didn't expect us to loose our tools. If we go borrowing apples all the time we're not only going to loose what we borrowed but loose some our own. I gave a word under the prophecy string that the Lord showed me from Jeremiah.. I'm still chewing from it today.

Elisha's students were working to expand their facility. Elisha had approved it and was with them when the fellow lost the axehead. He worried because he'd borrowed it (as that was a very valuable tool).

We can loose the potency and power of a word given to another by carelessly heaping it on our pile. The word is no less good but it's not in the intended cart so it fell off. The Lord gives each of us just enough. We can't load up on manna...

Larry the Lord is giving you a word for your word...I remember when you gave parts of this word before. The Lord is speaking to us.

Larry..Elisha's students were being obedient to work. Elisha showed the axehead but the student had to reach out and take it. God intervened with a miracle because even though there was a borrowed axe the intent of the heart was good. God helps us when we loose our apples along the way..He sends the prophet to intervene with the miracle of his word. All the student has to do is reach out and take it.

I guess when we "carelessly heap a word on our pile" we may be reverse engineering it to fit our pattern. I have to defer the read on the link for now but will get back to it. As you say it is long. I was not even aware of this aspect of scripture...the lost axehead...

its late on my side of the world i should be in bed but had to many cuppa joes the philippines has some good strong coffee and when i make a brew for my self knowing i wil be on line for a while i tend to make a good brew my fiancee got me hooked as one of her friends who is a pastor in illo illo works in a coffee factory my fiancee was given four big tins and i was given one big tin

i am know hooked and when you are brewing it it smells real nice its stronger than turkish coffee

i am still in Australia i take of on the 1st of dec and wil not be back in Australia until the 7th of jan 2009 larry i will ask my fiancee about Batoto as she knows the philippines better than i do larry i only know how to get around manila as manila is not far from Bacolod also i am comfterbal were i can walk around Bacolod Bacolod is like manila though very spread out and were our new church is planted La catellana its 2 hrs from Bacolod i wil ask my fiancee how far Batoto is larry

if you are in the philippines in dec this year i wil be in Bacolod for a month as my fiancee lives in Bacolod and we travel to la castellana which is not a bad ride on their buses but the roads need improvement larry and when you are sitting at the back you have to hold on to the seat as the bus bounces a bit sevral times i nearly hit the roof


the only thing i am worried my land lord booked our tickets threw Qantas and you know what happend to the Qantas plane that had to land in manila i am hearing this could happen again knowing my luck it wil be me this time so if you hear of a QANTAS plane having trouble on the way to manila from sydney its me

I thought you were moving there permanently...I don`t have plans to engage the Phillipines any time soon...but that could change...I am an international playboy afterall...I know you have been looking forward to this chance to be with your fiancee for months and the expectation must be hard to endure! I pray for your continued ability to go forward in life and ministry. To be perfect and complete in all the will of God...I rememeber saying somewhere that I have high regard for your grass roots founding in truth and how you stand in adversity....

right now brother we have to get the wedding out the way our wedding is on the 15th of dec 2008 and then we wil apply for my filapino citazen ship that is why i am working abroad i can only stay as long as the visa alows me to stay in the philippines and i have to have enough money to show their goverment i can survive for example if i stay for 3 months i have to have enough to last me for three months

i have been traveling back and forth and my fiancee is seeing how costly it is as when i am staying in australia i dont pay rent or electricity my land lord is very good to me i have nown him since i was young


this is something that god is helping me over come brother if i tend to stay for 12months we have to show the goverment our assets and this is were it gets intresting the goverment wants a written letter from my fiancee stating who i am what i tend to do for the 12months and they go over your criminal history and ask for two character refrences on top of my fiancee written letter


that is why i stay sometimes for a month or three months


when i come back to australia i have to go job hunting as most employers wil not keep you in their books with my security course out the way and weighting for the police cheque to come back so i can work as a security gaurd it wil be diffrent as i have one company called chub looking at putting me on and these guys are very flexibal


if i had sponcers it would be a diffrent story


a close friend of mine whom i am having dinner with on tuesday night is going to look at geting me the suport i need brother he aproached me last sunday in church and wanted me to write down our needs

i was told it takes 2yrs before the goverment aproves my citazen ship for me to live in the philippines though with a lawyer it can be approved fast my fiancee has aproached one of her friends who is a lawyer her brother lives with him and he said once the wedding is out the way we are to go to manila and get the paper work i need and then he wil make time with me while i am their and wil help me and my fiancee

she hates me being in australia sepperated from her and i also dont like being sepperated from her i wil keep you up to date brother and i wil give you a contac adress we have provided accomadation for christians who want to see what the lord is doing in the philipines at no cost


yes and it really encouraged me brother i wil be away from the forum for a month as i wil be in sydney on the 1st of dec weighting to take of 11hr flight not like last time i bounced all over the place i went from darwin to singapore then from singapore to manila and then from manila by plane to bacolod

Just because we say we are Christian we are not necessarily obeying the gospel.

It's all conected together and revealed to me over a period of time...The foundation was laid with the Jeremiah passage..then on to me and myback yard then to the forum and then to Dutch Sheets and then to Todd Bentley. He's sowing me..(oops..showing me) It's to long to tell it and l feel exhausted of trying. It shouldn't be in your string anyway. It should be under the Jeremiah one. Have a good one..I'm just discouraged at my own weakness and unwillingness to go on and present something in a practical way that will benefit others. Maybe l'll pick it up later.
