I was wondering about something that wife asked my belief on.She asked me does all the miscarriages that have happen in the world do those babies have a soul. I believe they do but I was wondering does the soul become part of you as soon as the sperm seeds the egg? I figure someone could point me to scripture about this whole process. I have never really thought about it until now. I always believed it does.

Soul means breath life. But "life" starts in the womb. God is a God of all life. God is the one who opens or closes the womb. So a miscarriage is one whom God wanted, but never aquired breath life. The Word tells us that God is the Father of all. That is because he opens the womb. Abram and Sari who were called later Abraham and Sarah gave birth to the promise of God, that they would have a son, and they called him Isaac. Until the conception of the womb of Sarah, she was barren. That is because God kept her womb closed. As soon as God opens the womb, this then becomes a child of God.

4 Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying:
5 “ Before I formed you in the womb I knew you;
Before you were born I sanctified you;
I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”


Where we see a "seed," God sees the finished product. Where we see egg and sperm, God sees a person preordained before birth to do the works of God. He knows us and the plan He has for us, even before we are formed in the womb.

yes they do since i have been through this with my first wife we burried our still born child in 1998 it shook me and it tore my first wife appart but god blessed us with a healthy child my son is know 11yrs old loves life has gone through the trials a normal child goes through and is winning some major prizes he loves running

many though dont believe that a fetus has a soul i did some digging trying to figur out what was preventing my first wife from falling pregnant we did what the dr was asking us to do i even went on a diet i made sure there was no stress around her

from a fetus that grew to having a heart that was breatng and you could see this when we had an altra sound takken that the child was developing to were the same child growing stopped breating really hurt what hurt i showd no emotion i could not express what i was feeling my first wife was given a vission she shared this with me she saw our child we named him kegan zachry she said she got the vission around 11pm and our child was standing next to jesus holding his hands he said i love you mum and tell dad i love him and not to worry i never got a vission all that happend with me i felt this peace come over me


so all misccariges or fetus as the medical world has its own saying they do have a soul and they are with god

i cant really give you any scripture passages as the bible does not give us much insight i can lead you to passages that wil comfort you in times like this but i will not lie and say the bible gives us this insight

i just know in my heart when a parent looses a child like that they end up with god and not being sent to hell

you wil get some waccky christians who wil say this to new christians and to mothers who have lost their child dont listen to these fruit cakes they wil be delt with by god when he decides its time to judge the world
