YES THIS IS MR. ALLEN... HIS FIRST NAME IS BILL...
There was a S/Sgt. B. Allen tail gunner that
flew missions but it says nothing about flying with the Enola Gay when
the Bombs dropped on Hiroshima or Nagasaki ?

And indeed he flew out of the same air strip and the ~film~
documentary I have, shows that.
And I do not worry about looking bad, I know the facts
about Mr. Allen. Since few people alive in 2006 could
first hand tell me these facts and provide a keepsake
film footage, it is more than beyond my expectations to
meet a 33-mission tail gunner . . .who is still living to
share the stories !
I will add your research to my research files...thank you !

Blessings !
Betty

Hi Betty,

Found the Indian Maid , But it does not say anything about Mr Alan
flying with the Enola Gay . There was a S/Sgt. B. Allen tail gunner that
flew missions but it says nothing about flying with the Enola Gay when
the Bombs dropped on Hiroshima or Nagasaki ?
They flew out of the same air strip but historical records don't show
the Indian maid participating in either Nuclear Bombing raids .

Please don't think I'm trying to make you look bad, Not at All ! I'm
just looking for facts.

JTcrocket + August 6, 1945 = sixty-one[61] years

The name of the airplane was ~Indian Maid~ K-358, I called it
maiden.
Mr. Alan was in the 505th bomb group, Seabee, 1944-45. . .
We have the film documentary of him and his group with the
above airplane. And yes, it was next to the Enola Gay.
As I stated, he flew 33 missions. He and his wife tour
and meet 505th bomb groups living members and/or relatives
at events pre-set for them.

Blessings !
Betty

Hi Betty,

Hubby is a real History buff and he says there was never a plain named
Indian Maiden. Are you sure you got the right name ? Look at the link
below and you will see what I mean. Cut and Paste.

Hi Betty,

Thank you so much. Does anyone here think that because we bombed Japan
that we our self's will be bomed ? I saw that some of codes say that ? I
can't find codes yet because I just got the code finder and have not
figured it out yet.
I do know that we bomed Japan because It actually saved Millions of
life's ! Had we gone in on the ground the loss of life would have been
millions. this way we saved life's. War is a terrible thing but we must
fight for the freedom we love so much.

WELCOME JTcrochetlark . . .
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hiroshima,_Hiroshima
On August 6, 1945 the nuclear weapon Little Boy was dropped on
Hiroshima by Enola Gay, a U.S. Air Force B-29 bomber which was
altered specifically to hold the bomb, killing an estimated 200,000
people and heavily damaging 80% of the city.

Just for honor, I want my friend Mr. Allen, who still lives in
New York to be remembered. He flew 33 missions with B-29 and
his airplane was ~Indian Maiden~, the plane next to Enola Gay.
Due to our friendship and his age, he has provided me film
footage for preservation of the experience in the event of his
death. He and I meet in Arizona in 2001 ! Blessings ! JT . . .

Hi Fab,

I'm new here but I just heard that today is the anniversary of Hiroshima
. I can't remember if they said 61 or 62 years ago today.
Are there Codes for that ? and do they have any bearing on today ?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seabee

The Seabees are the Construction Battalions of the United States Navy. The Seabees have a history of building bases, bulldozing and paving thousands of miles of roadway and airstrips, and accomplishing myriad other construction projects in a wide variety of military theatres dating back to World War II.

The ranks of E-1 through E-3 in the Navy include Seaman (white stripes), Airman (green stripes), and Fireman (red stripes). E-1 through E-3 Seabees use the designation Constructionman, and wear sky blue stripes on their dress and service uniforms.

[] In popular culture

The Fighting Seabees (1944), starring John Wayne, is a fictionalized portrayal of the beginning of the Seabees.

Seabees feature prominently in the musical South Pacific.

Ward Cleaver, the fictional father from Leave It To Beaver, was a Seabee.

Al Borland, the fictional sidekick of Tim Taylor on Home Improvement was a Seabee and stationed in Nevada. Borland was portrayed by actor Richard Karn. Coincidentally, Karn's father, Gene, was a Seabee in real life and served in World War II.

Literal "seabees" (similar to the bee depicted on the badge) appear in the computer game Grim Fandango.

Tom Cruise, portraying "Maverick" in the 1986 movie Top Gun, had a Seabee patch on the left front breast area of his flight jacket.
