I just read about this -
"Greetings to everyone from around the world! You know how at sporting events they have “the wave” where one
group starts it and then it cycles all the way around and back to the beginning? Do you remember when at the year
2,000 they showed on television all the New Year celebrations going on around the world as the New Millennium
began? Here is what I want to propose: Let’s have an around the world shofar assembly in every time zone on the
Feast of Trumpets at sunset (the evening of September 29th) announcing to Messiah we are awake and anxiously
anticipating His return."
and
"As the sun goes down, make a
joyful sound! That means shout
a resounding "Welcome to our
King of Kings, Lord of Lords"
and blow your shofar or horns
as we celebrate in a wave of shofar
blasts. If you don't have a shofar or
horn, a recording like this one will do. Jerusalem's celebration starts at sundown (5:46PM, UTC +3h) on 9/29/08.
Wouldn't it be wonderful to join them as Yom Teruah, the Day of Trumpets, begins in the city of His throne as well
as our own individual sundowns? He will hear all His kids at once, and then hour after hour sounding the alert,
bringing in this feast. Is this going to be another dress rehearsal or will this be the eminent fulfillment of the Feast
of Trumpets heralding the ultimate coronation celebration?!!"
My personal thinking is that this might be a nice way to remember the Lord together, what do you think?
