Jn 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

Jesus was that Lamb that took away the sin's of the world.

1Jn 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

sin is the transgression of the Law.

Mt 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Jesus blood is of the new testament which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

notice it did not say all, it says many.

Rom 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

the sins that are remmitted is our past sins once we come under the blood.

keep in mind it is the PAST sins.

Heb 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

It is the blood of Jesus that we are under this is the key. the blood of Jesus is the remission of sins.

Paul said a mouth full here in Hebrews.

This is a chapter that should let the novice Christians understand what LAW is abolished.

Heb 10

1: For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.

what law is a shadow of Good things to come? what law could never make those that coem with SACRIFICES perfect.

2: For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.

pay attention to this verse. when a person offered a sacrifice they should have no more conscience of sin. yet they did!

3: But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.

here we have the word sacrifices again. somebody should be getting the point; we are only in the third verse.

4: For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.

wait a minute here , now I know we can understand that the bloods of bulls and Goats could never take away sin.

5: Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:

who cometh into the world? Jesus! Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, of course he the Father did not, verse 6 tells us that he had no pleasure in it.

a body was prepared for Jesus.

6: In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.

sacrifices and offerings for sin He had no pleasure.

7: Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.

who come in the volume of the book? Jesus

8: Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;

hold up!!! the sacrifices were offered by a law? yes. the law of animal sacrifice.

9: Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.

what first was taken away? animal sacrifice

what second was established? Jesus the sin offering

10: By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

oh! we are separated by offering of the body of Jesus. THE BODY OF JESUS!

11: And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:

again people animal sacrifice could never take away sins. ANIMAL SACRIFICE!!!!

12: But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;

Jesus offered himself once for the sacrifice for sins. In other words Jesus will not die again for our sins.

13: From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.

14: For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

Jesus is that lamb of God that taketh away the sins of the world.

15: Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,

16: This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

17: And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

18: Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.

it said above Jesus died once for our sins. There are no more sacrifices for sins using Jesus body or animal sacrifices.

19: Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

20: By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

One of the biggest misunderstanding being taught by the pastors is what was Jesus.

Jesus is a sin offering.

Jesus is the Lamb that replaced the lamb.

Jesus replaced animal sacrifice and the ceremonial laws that went along with it.

Paul explains this replacement of animal sacrifice throughout his epistle.

Col V

9: For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

10: And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

11: In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:

12: Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

13: And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

14: Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

very important!! what handwriting of ordinance was against us? the commandments? the law of animal sacrifice? yet they were blotted out, taken out of the way, and nailing it to the cross. what was it? the key in the verse is ordinance against
us.

15: And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

16: Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

Judging is only allowed when you Judge righteously

17: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

what is a shadow of things to come? the body is of Christ? what is the meaning of this? Hebrews 10 explains

18: Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,

19: And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.

20: Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,

21: (Touch not; taste not; handle not;

22: Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?

23: Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.

Jesus is the ultimate sin offering.

He died for our sins.

Hebrews 10 is very important when trying to understand what law was done away with.

You absoulty right ozell, and thats brings to mind the atonement. Lets take a look, how the atonement connects to
Jesus being the sin offering. The Atonement is also an High day or can be call an Holy day.

This day represents the atonement that Jesus made for us. In Moses' day the Priest would take 2 goats. One would be killed and the other would be let go. The Goat that was let go was called the scapegoat. On the scapegoat, all the sins of the people were place. It was then taken into the wilderness and released. This represents Jesus dying for us and taking all our sins upon Him self. This is for the ones that put themselves under the blood of Jesus. He suffered for us, so we should suffer a little showing our appreciation for what He did for us. Let's take a look at the 2 goats and move on.

Leviticus 16:8 And Aaron shall cast lots upon the two goats; one lot for the LORD, and the other lot for the scapegoat.
9 And Aaron shall bring the goat upon which the LORD'S lot fell, and offer him for a sin offering.
10 But the goat, on which the lot fell to be the scapegoat, shall be presented alive before the LORD, to make an atonement with him, and to let him go for a scapegoat into the wilderness.

Both of these goats represent Jesus. The Goat was offered for a sin offering. What was Jesus? He was our sin offering to the Father. The scapegoat presented alive, represented the Lord when He came out of the grave and was presented alive to the Father.

Romans 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

Notice what's being said. We were reconciled or recovered by His death, and we shall be saved by His life. Remember the scapegoat? Jesus had to take our sins away. Just like the scapegoat released in the wilderness. If Jesus did not resurrect we would still be in our sins.

Romans 5:11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

If you put yourself under the Lord's blood, He has made an atonement for your sins that have passed. You have been reconciled. It is up to you to continue in this reconciliation unto eternal life. (MEANING KEEPING HIS LAWS AND STATUES). This day represents the Lord making atonement for our sins.

Lets go to Leviticus 23:27 Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
23:28 And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before the LORD your God.

Now sisters and Brothers, this day is still to be observe in it season, now we can't do the sacrifical part, because the
Lord took the priest hood off the earth.

Lets go to 1Timothy 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

Gal 3

1: O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?

O foolish gentile who has fooled you, that you should not obey the truth.

what is truth?

Jn 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

2: This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

Paul asked a question concerning there knowledge. works of the law or hearing of faith

10: For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

Paul said as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse. IT IS WRITTEN cursed is everyone that continueth not in all things written in the book? what book? the OT.

Let's go and read what Paul is saying here.

Deut 27
1: And Moses with the elders of Israel commanded the people, saying, Keep all the commandments which I command you this day.

9: And Moses and the priests the Levites spake unto all Israel, saying, Take heed, and hearken, O Israel; this day thou art become the people of the LORD thy God.

10: Thou shalt therefore obey the voice of the LORD thy God, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command thee this day.

14: And the Levites shall speak, and say unto all the men of Israel with a loud voice,

15: Cursed be the man that maketh any graven or molten image, an abomination unto the LORD, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and putteth it in a secret place. And all the people shall answer and say, Amen.

16: Cursed be he that setteth light by his father or his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.

17: Cursed be he that removeth his neighbour's landmark. And all the people shall say, Amen.

18: Cursed be he that maketh the blind to wander out of the way. And all the people shall say, Amen.

19: Cursed be he that perverteth the judgment of the stranger, fatherless, and widow. And all the people shall say, Amen.

20: Cursed be he that lieth with his father's wife; because he uncovereth his father's skirt. And all the people shall say, Amen.

21: Cursed be he that lieth with any manner of beast. And all the people shall say, Amen.

22: Cursed be he that lieth with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.

23: Cursed be he that lieth with his mother in law. And all the people shall say, Amen.

24: Cursed be he that smiteth his neighbour secretly. And all the people shall say, Amen.

25: Cursed be he that taketh reward to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say, Amen.

26: Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen.

so we have where Paul was reading from to the Galatians, we see the curse of those that broke the Law.

11: But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

12: And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.

let's find where Paul got this from.

Hab 2:4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.

13: Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

but Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the Law, Jesus being made a curse for us?

Paul said Jesus being made a curse. curse is everyone that hangs on a tree.

this is big stuff here. we have to find out how a person got hung on the tree. we already know that the person hanging on the tree was cursed, this is how he got up there.

Deut 21:22 And if a man have committed a sin worthy of death, and he be to be put to death, and thou hang him on a tree:

so a man became cursed by sinning and he was to be hung on a tree. Then How could Jesus be hung on the tree and be a curse for us when he committed NO sin? we will see that Later.

Paul said Jesus has redeemed us from the curse of the law? later we will see what law we are redeemed from.

Let's continue

14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Let's look at the blessing of Abraham that MIGHT come on the gentiles.

Genesis 22v
15: And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time,

16: And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:

17: That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;

18: And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed

the gentiles are part of the nations so they will be blessed

(why? );

because thou hast obeyed my voice.
