Anyone watching?

They actually opened the convention with a prayer from an ex-state senator.

Interesting prayer. She actually mentioned Jesus, lol.

It's on FOX and CNN right now. wink.gif smile.gif

FOCUS ON THE FAMILY suggested that we pray for God to rain very hard, during Obama's acceptance speech,,,,,,,this Thurs nite, i think.

then , they repented of that suggestion

then, today, or yesterday, on the eve of the Convention,,,,,,,,,God gave Denver a storm,,,,,,,,hail , 4 twisters, ,,,,no big damage....nobody hurt.........the NEWSCAST had a woman insisting that her prayers moved God to protect them from the storm

interesting

i don't vote democratic...........i vote republican or libertarian.........i voted for Ron Paul in the primary.........i might write Ron's name in,,,,,in the general, this November

Yeah, it should be interesting. I've gotta see how Michelle Obama tries to come back from some of the things she's said lol. Personally, I think she's a reverse racist, rolleyes.gif

There might even be riots outside! It's already gotten interesting with a FOX news reporter being harrassed by ultra lefties/anarchists. Lol. wink.gif laugh.gif biggrin.gif

and I will spare you my true thoughts concerning BHO's politics...

One thing I noticed lately...not reported any where else (that I know of)...

Three people, who were supposed to be good Democrats and in BHO's camp but (seemingly) irritated him severely by their actions have either been hurt or died within weeks - even days - of the convention:

1.) Bernie Mac - Click to view attachment
Well known comedian. He was the comedy act brought in to entertain guests at an Obama fund raiser in Chicago, Il on July 11th, 2008. Obama criticized the comedian for off color jokes that caused a heckler to demand that Obama come out instead of Mac. Bernie Mac died of Pneumonia in the hospital just four weeks later (Aug 9th, 2008).

2.) Dianne Feinstein - Click to view attachment
Liberal Democratic Senator from California broke her ankle on Aug 15th, 2008. She had been picked to lead the Hillary Clinton Super Delegates onto the convention floor this week. Since her doctor said she should not travel for the short term after the break, another Hillary Clinton super fan was selected: Stephanie Tubbs Jones.

3.) Stephanie Tubbs Jones - Click to view attachment
Liberal Democrat House member from Ohio. She died of a brain aneurysm while driving her car last week. She died on Aug 20th, 2008. She was picked to walk the Hillary Clinton Super Delegates on to the convention floor as a replacement for Senator Diane Fienstein.

So who else will get hurt or die, I wonder? I know it sounds morbid, but there are signs all around the Dem's convention that don't look too good.

If I were Hillary

It strikes me as funny because I know they are only doing it to try and win support from Christians in America.

One does not have a relationship with God and also be a proponent of Abortions (which the Democratic Party always supports).

Well, I will not be watching the conventions, either of them. To me, it is simply soundbite politics. They say what we want to hear. Half of what they say is untrue, the half which they are sincere about will never go anywhere. But that doesn't seem to matter much.

The debates are hardly any better. Again, it's pre-set questions with scripted answers.

I wish there were real deabtes in this country, where a politician would actually have to answer for things that happen. I watched British Parliament on CSPAN a while back, and saw Tony Blair just get absolutely raked over the coals. I sat and smiled and wondered how W would handle real questions in an enviroment that won't let him off the hook.

I guess we can wish.

wacko.gif More crazy wackiness at the DNC Convention in Denver! wacko.gif

"KILL MICHELLE MALKIN!" is the cry in this YouTube video released on Aug 26th, 2008. It shows the depth of despair that some feel that they are victims of a government out of control. They will go after anyone they disagree with. Alex Jones, who is doing all the yelling, is three times the size of Michelle Malkin, and it looks like he is going hurt her. She stays pretty cool about it:

It is interesting that these wacky, kooky folks can run around yelling at people and get in their faces, nearly physically threaten them with bodily harm and still complain that they - all of us! - are victims of the dark, sinister, evil George Bush the Butcher and Dick Cheney, Evil Emperor.

If it were true, they would be locked up in the FEMA camps that they shout about by now, or they would be dead. I would honestly like to see how far these nutty people would get in the Peoples Republic of China, or Russia (since Putin is having his political opponents whacked now), or North Korea, or other places where rights are so limited there are no rights.

Being able to protest like this should be a right appreciated by more people. I just think that people like Alex should be made to prove the allegations, and do it publicly.

Al,
I "kind of" agree with you. It seems the Republicans are hell bent for leather to show how they are the party willing to "cross the aisle" all the time. McCain shows it by siding with Biden, Kennedy, Clinton, Kerry and other Lib Dems in the Senate, and he gets the applause of the New York Times for going against Bush and openly criticizing him. Even Bush worked with ultra lib Ted Kennedy on the Education bill only to be demonized later for not going further. But now that McCain is the so-called "conservative" Republican nominee, the NYT hates him, and all of the Dems who praised him in the past are disowning him in droves. Once loved, now hated.

Barack Hussein Obama says he is a "cross the aisle" kinda guy, but has not done it at all yet. He sided with the Dems on nearly every vote, except war funding when he voted against it.

I see the compromising happening, but it seems one sided at best. I think that this means the Republican party will eventually become more like the Dems instead of the other way around.

Hi Damo,
I really don't care what race a candidate is. I am a white guy. I was raised with the whole "don't look at the color of a person; look at their character." So I really don't care about the color of a person's skin.

What I really care about is a candidate's stand of important policies such as abortion, immigration, defense, taxes and government interference. I will not vote for a pro-abortion candidate, period. I want immigration controlled properly. I want to continue a strong defense, especially now that Russia is back to it's old tricks. Obama wants to scale back the US Military, thinking that we will lead by example. But Russia and China will take complete advantage of that and we will have to kowtow to them for energy (if they get their way). I want to be able afford the taxes I pay, not more. Finally, I want the government to stop interferring with my life. But there are others who want the government to pay for everything. The problem with that is that most American's have forgotten that WE ARE THE GOVERNMENT! I don't think we need to go socialistic to make things better. I think socialist governments make things more difficult.

Skin color and slick speaking is not an indicator of a good leader. Character, good planning and putting the country's needs first is the signal for me of a good leader.

I get tired of the democrats claiming that people have been knocked down, used, are poor, can't get jobs, healthcare, and we can't win the Iraq war or the war on terrorism.

The truth is this: The average American still makes $48,201 per year (2006). The unemployment rate is still historically low at 5.7%, and that is up from 5.5% from last year. Still incredibly low. Some Americans don't have healthcare insurance because they don't want it and they don't have to have it if they don't want it! Most people still get their healthcare from their employers. I buy my own because I have my own business. I get to go to any hospital I want to go to. It pays 100% (after deductible). I don't have to wait for medical services like the Brits and Canadians ( no offense to them). Last, we are winning the war in Iraq and we will see our troops leave Iraq by 2011. But terrorism will rear it's ugly head time after time for a long time.

So if Obama wanted to stand opposed to same sex marriages and abortions, make sure taxes are kept low, ensure we maintain the top military in the world, protect ourselves against our enemies and stay out of my life as much as possible, then I would vote for him. But that would be the EXACT opposite of where he is now.

Todd,

You are totally correct when you posted: "...that this means the Republican Party will eventually become more like the Dems..." Past performances by our Republican leaders show a weakening in our Conservative values. "Ill never forget the day I woke up from my slumber...the day that Terri died. A mercy killing some would say but in my eyes it was an unneccessary death. I became disgruntled when Governor Bush and President Bush allowed Judge Greer to bully them into submission. Now in our constitution we have a checks and balance system and there was a reason that our framers put the judicial system on the lowest rung in the ladder because of the threat of this important office becoming too powerful.

I will also never forget the day that the courts ruled in favor of new London in the case Kelo vs New London. This decision was and is unconstitutional. Then we have Hate Speech Laws in place that are causing more division and more hurt, and these laws are furthering division and misunderstanding. Did you hear of the granny who went to prison in Philidelphia for being a witness for Christ? Or the "11 from Philidelphia who got arrested at a homosexual festival for trying to witness to the gay community?" And with McCain I have bad vibes with this Presidential hopeful because he authored the McCain-Feingold bill which is a clear violation of our 1st amendment rights.

Both parties are weakening the very fabrics of our constitution and the very fabrics of this Godly nation. Some might consider that Christians are being muzzled.

In this present election, I am not crazy for McCain but Obama clearly is a threat to all of us. So it will probably mean that McCain gets my vote unless I can gather my courage and vote third party. But then I remind myself that there is a good chance that martial law shall be declared and if this happens Bush shall still be our President. We shall see how these present times shall turn out.

I am in total agreement with everything that you have posted. We the people are the employers to those political leaders representing us. So when did our leaders start running the show without majority vote? When has it become fashionable to get caught in sins of the flesh?

We need to be praying for this nation and for our next President.

Gods Blessings,

Al

I agree with you also, Todd. I could care less about the color of skin. I do care about abortion. I do care about abortion being called murder. I do care about marriage for homosexuals being wrong.
We are one nation under GOD and we need to vote that way.
McCain was not my first choice but I will choose the Biblical way above all else and the color of the skin has nothing to do with it what so ever. In fact I would have loved to have watched Coni Rice or Colon Powel run. I do have problems with Coni Rice trying to divide Israel.

Barack Hussein Obama. A lot of people think Mr. Obama is a Muslim. All I know the church he WAS attending was nothing but a hate church.
He has a half brother his name is George Hussein Onyango Obama, and he is the 26-year-old half brother of Mr. Obama, the multimillionaire autobiographer who neglected to write that his brother lives on less than a dollar a month in the outer slums of Nairobi, Kenya. He he wants to help than why doesnt he send his brother a few bucks. Charity starts with in our own family.
Obama maked 4.2 million last year. Michelle Obama is on leave from her $317,000-a-year job at the University of Chicago Medical Center, which is now under scrutiny - along with Obama campaign chief David Axelrod and two other staffers - for a scheme that, according to the Chicago Sun-Times, "steers patients who don't have private insurance - primarily poor, black people - to other health care facilities."

thanks for pointing some things out we are the same when it comes to our Australian polaticans and prime minister

i tend to look at what change the person can bring to Australia instead of lying to us aussies just to get our vote

when i do vote i dont go in half hearted i take my time i pray

as i stated i am from Australia so i only get to see what the news gives us but i have been following this election from this side of the world

we have the same views

sadly people wil just vote with out using the brain god has given them

we do the same in the philippines and we warn our members i hate it when the polaticans come into the areas our members live and try to sway them my fiancee is a female pastor and with me soon to be heading off to the philippines i have been doing a lot of re search and luckly i have a good father in law who has been filing me in

i hate election time in canberra you get all the polaticans greeting the public and were i live i can see the parliment house and i drive past were our prime minster lives i love drilling our polaticans i dont even back down

i wil be praying though that you guys use wisdom and that god brings the right person for the top job

this is how us christians do things in australia when kevin rud one a lot of people were not happy the ones supporting howard wanted john howard to still be our prime minister i voted against howard the reason why i did not like him and i did not like how he was trying to scrap medicare he wanted what you guys have now

he wanted australia to be like america

he supported the private schools more then he supported the public schools the money the public schools use to get from this goverment was being given to the private schools and it was the same with the public hospitals he put more money into the private hospitals and ignored the needs when it comes to our pub lick hospitals

if he had his way we would have lost our medicare

so i agree but what i am trying to figure out is were is the proof i have heard some strange things concerning obama i did some re search on his pastor and the church he use to belong to he used his head and left his pastor

so this is what i am trying to work out weather what i have been hearing is the truth when it comes to obama

I can see it Al.

The thing I have really liked about McCain is that he is ex military and knows much more about foreign policy than Obama does.

But everybody is just eating all of Obamas words right up. I don't know how this happened. How did he get so far in politics with his backround.

This is reminding me of a book I have by Pat Robertson called, The End of the Age.

It's a fictional thriller based on Bible prophesy. An interesting read and keeps you wanting to turn the page.

Obamas rise and the way people seem so enthralled by him is very odd.

A friend told me awhile back that every meeting he goes to....there are people fainting.

I brushed it off and thought he was exaggerating, even when he proved it.

Then the other day, I was watching the news and it happend again. I heard Obama say to someone to get some help...there is a lady down front who fainted.

WHAT IS GOING ON WHERE PEOPLE ARE FAINTING IN THIS GUYS PRESENSE????? ohmy.gif
Adeline
CIndy,

Could it all be part of the political games when people faint at your speeches? Obama has said nothing different from the other politicians and yet he is applauded or else swooned over? I would suggest that this swooning mght be a put on. Obama has really said nothing of any real interest, has he? And if he has, what exactly did he say? Since God has this whole world in his hands perhaps Obama also has a divine appointment to meet? This is Al back speaking form my human viewpoint; perhaps we can all foil any sort of victory for Obama?

Gods Blessings,

Al

I am really amazed at my brothers and sisters that are prayerfully discerning what an outright horrible President Obama would make. That means that you think that the powers that are in control now have done a monumental job these eight years we all have endured. In addition they need to continue their reign of terror.
People are suffering. Not just poor people , but middle class people. Jobs are closing down or downsizing, and people that are genuinly looking(relatives and friends) cannot find a job.
A vast majority of people I know that do have jobs make such a poor salary they are unable to take care of their families with

food prices and gas prices at an all time high .As I recall the economy was booming untill the Bush regime came to power.I have noticed that when Republicans come in the economy sinks and invariably their is a war.
Granted I am not a fan of politics , but I am a Christian. I love the Lord and he admonishes us to pray for those that have rule over us.
I have and I must be hearing from a different God because when I pray I don't hear anything that makes me want to vote for more of the same mess we suffered these last eight years.
As for Obama being against Christian values these are worldly rulers. I know that President Bush is not a christian by the way he calmly mistreated the people in New Orleans during Katrina and, wouldn't allow help to come in from other countries and even praised Brownie for a good job while people were dying by the thousands. These were people and although some of them may not look like you or him God loves them also. He is holding this administration responsible for that atrocity and many others .
Obama may not be a Godly Christian man(by your estimation) ,but neither is the Republican President that you hold in such high esteem. Many African American Christians voted for him because they believed he was saved. I was led not too. I believe I heard from the Lord
So what makes you so against Senator Obama. His skin color? Surely not . He is as much white as he is black.A pastor that lacks wisdom?abortion, homosexualality?Very important issues , but the church needs to be a better example so that the world will follow us instead of us following them.
It has to be because the Republican party does not have anyone 's interest at heart but the ULTRA Rich.
If you are rich that is. I understand your stand. Everyone else . Pray for Godly wisdom and understanding! If you were sincere about voting for a party with Christian values you would not vote for Republicans nor Democrats.
I am not writing this to have a debate. Nothing anyone says can change my mind. No one but the Spirit of God that is.

I understand how you feel, Grace.

This is how I feel. I must vote Biblical. I cant vote for abortion, same sex marriages and the list just goes on an on. Obama believes totally the opposite on my beliefs.
Here is a couple of things he has said that I disagree with.
Is there evil in the world?" (yes, low teacher pay) and child abuse.
"What would you do to reduce abortions?" (trust women who have abortions to have them only when they need them).
Here is a site below about the communist party. Scary

He supports or voted to support sodomy. He informs media that he is "Christian" though his positions do not square with the Word of God.
He is linked with blackism and anti Jew for Wright blasted both whites and Jews siding with Muslims and black revolutionists.
Also I check this out and it is true also. Obama was dressed as a Muslim while in Kenya, recited a Muslim prayer honoring Allah as the only true God, and stated that reciting the ritual gave him peace.
A Christian does not witness to Allah as being the power God. Obama did just that.
He stayed in a church for 20 years that preach hate against America.
Here is a site and I found it interesting.

Yes no candidate is perfect but we have read the Bible and decide with pray. I cant or will not vote for a person such as this.
