you said:
"Acts 7
[37] This is that Moses, which said unto the children of Israel, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear.
[38] This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sina, and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us:"
my bible (AMPLIFIED BIBLE) does not say church..........it says "assembly"
the 10 commandments are part of the LAW OF MOSES.........which vanished 1900 years ago.........read Hebrews
God destroyed the Jewish Stone Temple and the Judaism religion (the LAW OF MOSES) 1900 YEARS AGO............the LAW was nailed to the Cross in AD 30..........and Rome was sent to destroy the Stone Temple in AD 70
Judaism is destroyed............but THE ELECT NATION ISRAEL continues to be a part of God's focus............many Jews in Israel will soon convert to christianity,,,,,,,,and will serve God in the PROMISED LAND FOREVER
So that's it? That's all you got? The fact that 'your' bible says "assembly" and the KJV says "church"? I find it interesting.......you had nothing to say about the points I brought up!!!
And as far as the people in the land of Israel today.....are they under ALL of the curses the Lord said would come unto them if they did not obey? Let's review for a minute:
Let's read a few of those curses again along with what will happen to Israel when the Lord returns:
Duet 28:
[18] Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
No agricultural growth!
[25] The LORD shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.
Notice it is God that scatters Israel, '...into ALL the kingdoms...'!
[33] The fruit of thy land, and all thy labours, shall a nation which thou knowest not eat up; and thou shalt be only oppressed and crushed alway:
[36] The LORD shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation which neither thou nor thy fathers have known; and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone.
Now granted, it has taken Israel a very long time to get to state of becoming a country, but according to the scriptures above this should not be.
[49] The LORD shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand;
[50] A nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor shew favour to the young:
[51] And he shall eat the fruit of thy cattle, and the fruit of thy land, until thou be destroyed: which also shall not leave thee either corn, wine, or oil, or the increase of thy kine, or flocks of thy sheep, until he have destroyed thee.
Again, these curses are to be upon the nation of Israel and her seed FOREVER! Let's read it again:
[45] Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee:
[46] And they shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed for ever.
[64] And the LORD shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone.
[65] And among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: but the LORD shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind:
The Lord contines to state that it is He that will scatter Israel. Now if God is the one that scatters Israel, who is powerful enough to gather them? Let's read who that will be and who it is that will rule over them.
Jer. 30
[3] For, lo, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the LORD: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.
[17] For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.
[18] Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will bring again the captivity of Jacob's tents, and have mercy on his dwellingplaces; and the city shall be builded upon her own heap, and the palace shall remain after the manner thereof.
[19] And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.
Jer.31
[1] At the same time, saith the LORD, will I be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be my people.
Notice God said He would be the God to ALL THE FAMILIES of Israel. So not only are talking about the tribe of Judah (Jews), but the other 11 tribes also. And not only them but all of the 'heirs to the promise' will He be a God.
[4] Again I will build thee, and thou shalt be built, O virgin of Israel: thou shalt again be adorned with thy tabrets, and shalt go forth in the dances of them that make merry.
[8] Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the coasts of the earth, and with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her that travaileth with child together: a great company shall return thither.
[10] Hear the word of the LORD, O ye nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd doth his flock.
Ezek 37
[21] And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:
YES!!!! He that scattered Israel will gather Israel. For no one else can make that happen. Now let's see when this event will happen. Are "ALL" of Israel in their own land today?
Jer. 30
[7] Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.
Now what day is being spoken of here. A day so great that none is like it? Let's read.
Isa.2
[12] For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:
Isa.13
[6] Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.
[9] Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.
Isa.34
[8] For it is the day of the LORD's vengeance, and the year of recompences for the controversy of Zion.
Jer.46
[10] For this is the day of the Lord GOD of hosts, a day of vengeance, that he may avenge him of his adversaries: and the sword shall devour, and it shall be satiate and made drunk with their blood: for the Lord GOD of hosts hath a sacrifice in the north country by the river Euphrates.
Ezek.30
[3] For the day is near, even the day of the LORD is near, a cloudy day; it shall be the time of the heathen.
Joel.1
[15] Alas for the day! for the day of the LORD is at hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come.
Joel.2
[1] Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;
[11] And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?
Amos.5
[18] Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light.
[20] Shall not the day of the LORD be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?
Matt. 24
[21] For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
1Thes.5
[2] For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
2Pet.3
[10] But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
So when is it that Israel will be gathered? Upon the Lord's return.
Now let's read who will be ruling over the nation of Israel.
Ezek. 34
[23] And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even my servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd.
[24] And I the LORD will be their God, and my servant David a prince among them; I the LORD have spoken it.
Ezek. 37
[22] And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all:
[24] And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them.
[25] And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children's children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever.
So once Israel is gathered, David will be their prince FOR EVER!!!!
So here we see the picture starting to come together:
God scatters Israel.
God gathers Israel.
This is done one time and one time only...at the last day.
And God raises King David from the dead as their ruler.
Now this is the true gathering of Israel.
All I can is this, according to the scriptures, the people occupying the land now..... cannot be Israel.
Take a look at this clip and let me know if this is truly a nation under the curse of God.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WV6K08RFRQs...feature=relatedNow as far as the law being nailed to the cross.....I'll have to get back with you on that a little later. Because what you think was nailed to the cross was something totally different. I figured this should be enough reading for you for now.
"Assembly"......WOW!!!!!!
