Shall We Continue in the Delusion?

So do you think it’s possible for you to be delusional? I am willing to bet, most will say; “Of course I’m not delusional.” Well, before you answer, please read this entire lesson. The question will be asked again at the end. And while you are reading, here is something to think about; If you were delusional, how would you know? Most who are delusional are not even aware of it! Not only are they not aware of the delusion, but if you were to present the facts (the truth) to them, most will not accept it. This is because they have been living with the delusion (a lie) for such a long time..…..the truth appears as though it were a lie.

The purpose of this lesson is to (1); bring to light just one of the delusions (lies) we all have been given. (2); to prove, through the scriptures (The Truth), that the delusion is a lie. And (3); challenge your current practice against the true Word of God.

I only have one request as you read this lesson; put aside what you have been taught for just a moment, and pray and ask God for wisdom and understanding, “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.”, Proverbs 4:7.

Now I know most of what I present may go totally against what you have been taught, or currently practice, but the one thing you must ask yourselves; “Where did the doctrine I practice come from?” Have you ever proved what you practice through the scriptures? Are you going along with what your parents practiced? Are you going along with the majority? Or, could it be, you are afraid of what family and friends will think if you observed something outside of the norm?

Well, the bottom line is this, ….if the doctrine you practice is not supported by scripture, it means absolutely nothing to God. For “All scriptures is given by the inspiration of God, and is profitable for DOCTRINE, for REPROOF, for CORRECTION, for instruction in righteousness:”, II Tim 3:16. Everything we practice and ALL of our DOCTRINE and CORRECTION must come from the word of God; for, “…Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” Matt 4:4.

Now before we get started, go and get your Bible, DO NOT TAKE MY WORD FOR ANYTHING!!!!. Take your time, study and read this lesson for yourself and do as Paul says, “Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.”, I Thess 5:21. So let’s get started…………
What was the First Thing God Made Holy?

Now the answer to the above question may surprise quite a few people, but none the less, it is what it is, and the answer comes straight from the Bible! But before I get to the answer there is one definition we absolutely must understand before going any further. And that is the definition of SIN. Now when talking about a definition for sin, I’m not talking about what someone may have told you what THEY THINK sin is, or what their pastor or church says sin is. The only definition we can truly trust as correct, is the one given to us in the Bible.

Now let’s look at the ONLY definition of sin that counts; the one inspired by God found in the holy scriptures.

In I John 3:4 we find the definition of sin as this, “Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

So here we see that, according to the scriptures, when a person commits a sin, they are going against the Laws of God.

Now let’s take a look at some scriptures written in the New Testament concerning the laws some say we are no longer under, or, as they say, “have been nailed to the cross”:

Here is what our Lord, Jesus Christ has to say about His laws, found in Matthew:

Matt 5: 17-19 17. Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

18. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

19. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall
teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

In Matt. there was a person that asked Jesus what was needed for eternal life,

Matt 19: 16-19 16. And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?

Now please pay very close attention to the answer Jesus’ gives.

17. And He said unto him, Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

Did you notice what Jesus said would get the young man eternal life? Keeping the Commandments!

Now let’s find out what commandments Jesus told him to keep.

18. He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,

19. Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Now let’s read what James have to say about Gods’ Laws:

James 2:8. If ye fulfill the royal law according to the scriptures, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself, ye do well:

9. But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.
10. For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.

And here are a few scriptures by Paul in the book of Romans:

Rom 7: 7 & 12: 7. What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

12. Where the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.

Let’s stop and review the FACTS found in the scriptures:

FACT #1: The Laws spoken of are the Ten Commandments.

18. He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,

19. Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

FACT #2: Jesus said that keeping the commandments gives life.

17. And He said unto him, Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

FACT #3: Jesus and Paul both said if you break one (1) you are guilty of breaking then ALL!

19. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of
heaven: whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

10. For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

FACT #4: Paul governed his life by the Commandments.

7. What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the
law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

FACT #5: The commandments are Holy and Just and Good!

12. Where the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.

CONCLUSION: (1) ALL of the The Ten Commandments are still in force and to be kept. (2) By keeping the commandments one can receive eternal life. (3) If you break (1) Commandment you are guilty of braking them all. (4) Paul obeyed the Commandments. (5) The Commandments are Holy, and Just and Good!

So just what does all of this talk about the law and commandments have to do with the first thing God made Holy? Well, it just so happens that the very first thing God made Holy, was also made into a Law. This Law, that God sanctified, is so important to Him, He said it would be a perpetual covenant. This Law is so significant God made it one of His Ten Commandments! The very first thing God made holy and commanded us to keep as a perpetual covenant was His SABBATH DAY!!!! Let’s take a closer look at the first thing God set aside as holy.

in the NT, Paul said that the OLD COVENANT (LAW OF MOSES) has approached the vanishing point..........that was 1900 years ago, that it vanished

Col 2;16 says that i'm not required to keep the OT Sabbath

it appears that you're a JUDAIZER

Please forgive me if I'm reading this wrong, but Col 2:16 states the following;

[16] Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

And just as it states, do not let anyone judge you in any meat you eat, what you drink, in God's Holydays, new moons or His Sabbaths. So the verse is not saying for the individual not to have disregard for those things mentioned, but not to let what 'others' say bother you.

Now according to you it states, "I'm not required to keep the OT Sabbath."

Again, as I read the verse there is no no mention of the Sabbath of the OT at all.

I must ask, were there others Sabbaths made holy by God other than His 7th day sabbath and the rest of His High days? Because since God is the ONLY one that can make something Holy, that would mean the only sabbaths Paul could be referring to are the ones that already are in place.

And since God never said the 1st day of the week was made Holy and sanctified by Him, why would it even be considered?

What is interesting is the following verse:

[17] Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

All of these things are a shadow of things to come. And since Christ had died at the writing of this verse, it could only mean things to come at Christ 2nd coming.

Let's read the following to confirm this

Isa. 66
[15] For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.
[16] For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.

The above speaks of the 2nd coming of Christ. Let's see what are some of the shadows of things to come are.

[22] For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.
[23] And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.

Now I wonder which Sabbath will 'ALL FLESH' come to worship the Lord on? I'm sure it will be the one He said would be a perpetual Sabbath.

So, as you can see, one way or another, you will worship the Lord on the day He says. And since He never said the 1st day of the week was Holy you can best believe you will not have a choice in the matter.....well you may! If you are one of these poor fellows;

[24] And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.

The choice is yours......you can get used to following His commandments now.....or.......have a good supply of some serious sun screen.
