QUOTE (Humble Bob @ Aug 19 2008, 12:45 PM)

Isaiah 59:5
They hatch cockatrice' eggs, and weave the spider's web: he that eateth of their eggs dieth, and that which is crushed breaketh out into a viper.
Those that venture here with insincerity by sowing discord having a plan to harm others seeking Christ, I rebuke them in Jesus name. That their lies fall upon their heads like a collapsing wall and they shall be buried. That they will become erroded stones and their ruin will be a monument to their vanity.
~the [venomous] Beast~ + 247 Lesson + Acts 28 +, "Don't judge a book by its cover"
http://www.christian-forum.net/index.php?s...c=20814&hl=EXCERPT:
This morning, July 1st, 2008, I was given a set of numbers : E 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 1 = 247
I found out, that the 247 is symbolic of ' the [venomous] beast `, in Acts 28:4
I realized that I must always remember the ole fable/wives tale, called : ~Don't judge
a book by its cover~
This Biblical principle is within the story of Paul, in the last book of Acts.
Seems that the people viewing the snake ( the [venomous] beast/247 ) . . . judged
Paul as being condemned. Due to the snake which bites Paul, was dangling from his hand.
They quickly confirmed amongst the group, the theory of this being a vengeance
against Paul.
After the people watched and waited for him to die, he did not and they then considered him
a god.
At this point (DOT), in the story . . . another lesson is forced into the faces of the
reader of Acts 28.
That lesson is, just because you judged a book by its cover, do not read more into
that `book` ( situation) than you should `discern` justly. Which would make two error's
in the judgement of the people on the island of Malta, against Paul.
Most certainly Paul had committed no action, to deserve vengeance. And of course, Paul
was not a god.
