I was watching something on the history channel tonight and the program was talking about predictions for the future throughout the centuries by various individuals.

I have heard of the predictions using the I Ching, the Cybil Oracles, Merlin, the Mayan calendar, the Souix and Hopi Indian, Nostradamus, well as several others.

I don't put any focus on these because I do not think that this knowledge came directly from God. And actually I think it is wrong to listen to it because much of it is occultic IMHO.

I only look at what our Bible says about the future.

However...when I was watching this program....it mentioned something called the Web Bot Project.

This was originally created to make stock market predictions. But they found that this program was also pretty accurate about predicting other world events.

How can a computer program really do this?

I can't watch the you tube thing but l did see the show last night.

I'm surprised you didn't mention the I Ching thing... I was into that at one time. I was surprised at the mathematical portion explained...I thought it came right up along side the web bot.. Astrology is the same. It is the grand daddy of all. I wasn't surprised about the web bot. I renounced the use of these things and burned what l could.

Notice how they lump John's Revelation in with all the rest. You wanted to know if anybody had any thoughts...well as a matter of fact.

I keep saying it on this forum.

They will see their own demise coming. They have prophesied and exploited the enemies devices but will soon be swallowed up by what they have cleaved to.

This is what l call scientific occultism...reaching behind the veil for things God has clearly warned against.

On this forum bread crumbs and false flattery are used every day to draw people into that candy covered house. Jeze-bel is flaunting her wares.

Yep...sounds like we saw the same program. They talked about the I Ching and several others.

But what shocked me is that a computer program could do this. I'm not shocked at all about the other means. Satan and his demons know about things too. Their end will be the Lake of Fire along with all those who practice devination.

But a computer program? How is this possible? I understand how the program works...but still....I don't understand how it can tap into the collective conscience of people and make predictions.

The web bot goes out and searches all the internet for the most frequently used words, for example, fire or collapse, then checks the frequency, based on the how often the words appear the bot finds, a person makes a prediction based on the words and patterns of words.

I'm just shocked that this can be so accurate based on words that a computer looks for.

i watched this program on youtube a couple months ago when i was researching these subjects.

the web bot was really the only thing that intrigued me out of everything that was covered in the program.

it is quite obvious that a military confrontation is going to occur very soon. the web bot makes the "prediction" that there is going to be limited nuclear war around 2008-2009. well it has been my personal opinion that we will indeed be seeing a potentially disastrous nuclear confrontation very soon, most likely before the year is over. the web bot's "insight" only added to my convictions.

Hi everyone...just reading your posts and saw you are talking abou the program on TV last night. I saw it also. The web bot was very interesting to me because I've not heard of it before and thought something like this might happen. However, what I found even more interesting was the all the information on 2012. I seem to feel that this date coensides with what the bible says in the last days. I may be "linking it with John" but I could not get past how it all seems to fit.

However things will come to pass it will be our Father's will and not according to our full understanding. For myself, I feel like we are in the last days now and soon we will see Jesus coming in the clouds.

It's one thing to have a knowledge about what's going on in the area of scientific divination ...
It's another thing to linger there.

We are handed the truth ..the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help me God ...
through his Holy Word by the revelation of the Holy Spirit through his appointed prophets and the manifestation of Christ himself.

Satan has to try and counterfeit this revelation and he does it through all sorts of techniques relative to the time man lives in. You don't need a web bot to confirm the word of God. By doing this you acknowledge it as a credible reliable source necessary to confirm God's word.

You need to renounce your reliance and or acceptance of such things as tools to enhance the revelation of God's purpose. God doesn't need inventions to verify himself. He verifies himself. Can he use these things for his purposes..yes..and does. But ...

Walk by Faith and not by sight...the Bible clearly tells us that those whom think they are wise will be humbled. I pray for this, as we can all get caught up in signs and wonders..
we have all fallen short in this area, being anxious to know and we are TO WARN...but not get lost on the way, by seeking knowledge for knowledge sake.

I was lost in that as well...The LORD had to rebuke me, and he did it in a way so gentle, loving way and yet also fearful....

JESUS IS the ANSWER...and he WILL LEAD US TO ALL TRUTH...keep praying...his sheep hear his voice.

And the bad point about that is that it leaves one searching down a rabbit trail. always searching for the next sign of the times...when we should be waiting upon the LORD...yes he will reveal things to us...and yes we are to seek knowledge...but not for knowledge sake because eventually one will never get enough and the power drive can never be enough...it's A DISTRACTION. FROM JESUS..We are to OCCUPY until the coming of the LORD and tell others and show others God's love.....only looking for the next prediction to come to pass...even if it does appear all around us...it still makes one be puffed up and get lost in some power struggle of what may happen next, and also makes them take their focus off where the real focus should be, walking by faith and abiding in God's love to choose life or choose death.

Actually, this is not divination, sorcery or "scientific occultism" or "scientific divination" at all. It has to do with how God created Man.

Psalm 139:14 - ”I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.”

Man is designed to have ONE MIND. Man possesses an innate feature to be a “subconscious sensor” that is interlinked together via electromagnetic impulses (ONE MIND) as Peter encouraged, “Finally, be ye all of ONE MIND…” (1 Peter 3:8). In reality, we are through Christ, as Peter alludes, to be ONE MIND with God, connected in an “Omniunion”. I think the references in scripture which speaks of ONE MIND is NOT merely in referral to a cognitive and mutual agreement or accord; it’s deeper than that as scripture has proven how there is more in-depth meaning to God’s Word.

Unfortunately, there is the flip side of the coin where Man’s fallenness does not void the subconscious electromagnetic interlink, and as a result remains intact for Satan to use in the end to create a ONE MIND for himself as we see relayed by St. John of Patmos in Revelation 17: 13 – “These have ONE MIND, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.” So, the ONE MIND condition is neither good or evil; it is a neutral condition that good or evil utilizes.

And God allows this… “for God has put it into their hearts to carry out his purpose by being of ONE MIND and handing over their royal power to the beast, until the words of God are fulfilled.” (Revelation 17: 17)

Consequently, again, the ONE MIND condition is neither good nor evil; it is a neutral condition, just as water may drown or give life and fire may destroy or be harnessed for its benefits.

Consequently, the Web Bot Project is merely a sophisticated tabulation software that simply coalesces COMMON DENOMINATORS of KEY WORDS and terminologies on a colossal scale from individual postings on the Internet, BUT driven by the ONE MIND, Man’s electromagnetic subconscious, and these common denominators are extrapolated into emergent natural groups that form a pattern comprised of “indicator notions” having predictability, being what the WHOLE one mind SENSES.

So fantastic that this end time system seemed to St. John in the vision that God gave him that he MARVELED at “her” (the ONE MIND’s evil application embodied in the Harlot of Revelation) and was reprimanded by the angel in Revelation 17: 5 & 6 – “and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration. And the angel said unto me; Wherefore didst thou marvel?”

So the bottom line is that if we are not ONE MIND onto God and Christ, then we are ONE MIND onto Satan.

I believe that the other doctrines have just a small amount of truth, but not the ENTIRE TRUTH as the Bible; that is why. They contain just enough truths so that people feel attracted to them, but ultimately, the same people don't realize they are drinking from an empty cup. And unless the people decide to go to the BIble, regardless what doctrine they follow, that doctrine will not save them!

Plus I always keep in mind that God is in control!

Also remember whatever the web bot comes up with is subject to human interpretation, not unlike the interpreter who would interpret the gibberish the prophetness would utter under the influence of toxic volcanic vapors at the oracle of Delphi that were supposedly prophecies, which were very vague at best, as far as I am concerned, it is no different.
