Note: A letter written 65 years ago from a young Hebrew/Christian convert to his Jewish-converted
bride-to-be.

Darling,

I hope you have a measure of contentment in your new room. I would rather think of you in the other place that Mr. Segal thought not the right place for the present. He seemed insistent so I took it as a leading from the Lord and made no comment to the contrary. I still would be happy to see you placed in just such a little apartment as delighted your heart Sunday.

You suffered, little girl, yesterday, but the Lord put you through a trial. He wants you to learn to love Him when the trials come hard and heavy, and when deliverance seems near and yet so far. Our work for Him and suffering, I feel, means nothing to Him unless He is our passion. Unless we learn to pant for Him. We do not want to suffer, but can we learn to thrill ourselves as we reach out to Him in our struggles? He will, sweetheart, deliver you as you put your trust in Him. Not in the arm of flesh nor boards nor appeals by letters.

This is the kind of a girl I would desire for a wife and companion in my pilgrimage here on earth.

Yours in Christ,

p.s. I am planning to see you at the mission Thursday at 1:30
if you will be there. We will then make our arrangements for Saturday.

Psalm 42:1-2; 7[AMPB] (emphasis mine) "As the hart (deer) pants and longs for the water brooks, so I pant and long for You, O God. My inner self thirsts for the living God. When shall I come and behold the face of God?...[Roaring] deep calls to [roaring deep at the thubder of Your waterspouts; all Your breakers and Your rolling waves have gone over me."

DESTINY

Can you hear your own heart beating?

Can you see your dreams run dry?

Can you listen to the stars in the sky?

Can you hear another day dawning

and see sunsets in their splendor pining in their tasks to be done?

No one has seen sunsets, like songs in the sky, wrestle with reality and wonder why.

No one has heard a noonday sun whisper to its Maker and take a pause from its dawning.

No one has known two men, who could lift the moon to the sky and make a candle glow

or hear daybreak, as it rose and put passion in the wind.

Don’t you see?

Don’t you hear?

Don’t you get it?

Isn’t it clear?

Isn’t it all too simple and much to plain to see?

Isn’t it just as I told you, the way it would always be?

There are no obstacles in your path that fracture destiny.

There are no passions that won’t last

and no opportunities too weighty to be held in the palm of your hand.

There are no summers that won’t end and no winters too long to withstand.

No hearts too callous that I can’t mend.

No thoughts too deep that I can’t unfold.

And if you bend your heart to Me and hear My heart as it beats,

life will be as simple as the song I sing.

Do you hear Me in the wind?

In the trees?

In the breeze that gently sways the trees?

Trees have no wind, only the capacity to bend.

And if you hear Me, near your heart,

a place of refuge, a place apart,

a place of passion and rest and relaxation,

a place that answers all your questions,

will you come on bended knee and kneel before the King?

There are no questions near My throne, only thoughts of Me alone.

There are no heartbeats near to Me that drown the song of destiny.

Some have said that time has come to waste our passions and our song

and some have said that time will heal what ages the soul and deadens the feel of unanswered prayer.

But, I say this and this alone that time has come to play a song;

to hear the cry of mortal man and heal his wounds and make him stand;

to take his heart and take his soul and make him dream of a simple role,

a role of passion, where the wind in the trees sets his heart aflame with destiny.

See it in the sky, the radiant sun that has caught your eye?

See it in the clouds that sing, the source of life that gives you wings?

See it in your heart, a new start?

See it in the answers that burden your heart?

Prepare yourself for another reason to live, another reason to give,

another hope for the future, another interest, another passion

and invest in the vision of infinite possibilities.

There are no boundaries.

Prepare for Me.

Prepare for Me.

Prepare for Me.

Reach out in love to those around us.
Christ died for all and we must show His love.
To rich and poor, to sick and weary
A simple task oft points the way above.
We are His folk, the world is watching
To see us live His life upon this earth.

Seek out in love the lost around us.
The lonely stranger and the sick in heart.
Extend a welcome and a comfort.
In simple tasks the Saviour's love impart.
See with His eyes the world around us.
Touch with His hands the lost upon this earth.

You gave Me food when I was hungry.
Your home was with a lonely Stranger shared.
In prison cells your prayers sustained Me.
When I was sick your cool hand soothed and cared.
Come now and share the Father's blessing.
You were My eyes and hands upon this earth

An exhortation from the Father's heart to yours: Wasted Years

Many in My church have wasted years that they lived ashamed to recall. The years that were wasted on wanton living are gone, and while it is true that they can never be lived over again, I know how to take the broken pieces of your life and fit them back together making something much more beautiful than it was originally.

When I take the broken pieces of your life and put them together, says the Lord, you will know it is Me because you have tried for years to fix yourself without success. Many ask Me, "Why would You even want my life, God? I have made such a mess of it." This is true. When I Am not made Lord (Master) of one's life, most make mistakes that cause irreparable damage. However, I Am a God who can create worlds with a word. I can take the mess, as it is submitted to Me, and make something not only beautiful, but of great value. I can cause a vessel that was once broken beyond repair and make it into a vessel of honor fit for the Master's use. I can take an "unviable mass" and create life beyond your ability to express its beauty.

So do not go around the desert mountain again and again living in regret for the mistakes of your wasted years. Come to Me, Beloved for behold I make all things new! If you release the wasted years to Me, you will see how I will glean a harvest from them. Nothing is wasted in My kingdom.

Lovingly Your,
Restorer
