Are there any sexual acts within a marriage that are considered sinful?

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

wow pointus..you have some doozies for questions! lol
hmm..well since the Lord created lovemaking between a man and a women, I would say no. But gosh, there are so many horrible things out there. Maybe if you look at it this way. Sex is usually just an act..go through the motions. But lovemaking which is what it should be would be done with love..so, if done 'in love' then no..no sin. Anyone else?

good questions pointus! I've never really thought about these things that you're asking. Thought provoking!
Blessings to you..

The very term "sexual acts" is a carnal one. This shows a mindset. Of course one can be too carnal. What is the focus? We can even put pressure on our spouse to remain carnal...for the sake of the flesh we are feeding. But a couple is married to help each other, and not to hinder each other. We should seek to love the "hell" out of our partner and not love the "hell" in them. We are hurting our own cause by hindering our spouse to grow in the Lord so often. I believe that for this question the answer is moderation in all things. Eating is good, but overeating is gluttony. We must seek to avoid being carnal and over-indulging the flesh. Too much effort towards the flesh and the gratification thereof is not good. One is satisfied with God's provision when one is heavenly minded. Too much attention to the married life is the same as self-love. How can we hate our carnal life if we are loooking for carnal stimuli? Again, I would say all things in moderation.

Early on in my marriage....after I became saved... we were looking for a church to go to and the Pastor came to see us.

I asked him this same question, in private, because of my husband. I didn't feel comfortable doing some of the things he wanted to do.

My pastors response was.... "if it is mutual and you agree to it...then the marriage bed is undefiled".

What if you don't agree to it?

So yes ..... there are some sexual acts in a marriage that are sinful.

I think that when Satan has hold of someone... he can use them to harm even their spouses. He can take the beautiful things of God and pervert them, then it is no longer sacred... even in a marriage.

sin with in marrage

sin in heaven

sin exists in the world today

sin in the garden

and sin will continue to rule until we see it for what it is and learn to deal with it

of course to a non believer they would not know what they do every day is sin until they step into a church and hear the bible preached for the first time

those that worship the spirit of this world obey its laws

we who are saved do not belong to this world and sin should not have any foot hold in our lives and with in our marriage

read romans 8 so you can get a grip to what paul says

Romans 8

1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in christ Jesus

2 for the law of the spirit of life has set you free in christ jesus from the law of sin and death

do you live according to the flesh ?

5 for those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of flesh but those who live according to the spirit set their minds on the things of the spirit

so if you belong to this world and refuse to accept christ as your lord and saviour you live according to the flesh and you behave according to the flesh that means if you look at a women in lust you cant say you understand what christ did for us on the cross

God bless from damo

Prostitution.

Paying your wife to have sex with her is still a sin, afaik.
