Good Study, but you left out a couple of important New Testament Texts:
Rom 11:5 So too, at the present time there is a remnant chosen by grace.

Heb 12:18 You [New Testament Church] have not come to a mountain that can be touched.. 22 But you have come to Mount Zion, to the heavenly Jerusalem, the city of the living God. You have come... 23 to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God, the judge of all men... 24 to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant.

Paul saw the church as the remnant being formed in His own day and even saw himself as a part of it. Rom 11:1-5
It is significant that Hebrews shows the church as having already come to Mt. Zion and the heavenly Jerusalem when they come to Jesus and his New Covenant which he made with Israel.

The New Testament interperets Mt Zion, the heavenly Jerusalem and the New Covenant through the blood of Jesus.
The New Testament writers all interpret the church as the fullfillment of the Old Covenant promises to Israel.
In the New Covenant, there is to be no distinction between Jew and Gentile for Jesus has abolished the barrier between them and made the two one, we are all one in Christ. (Eph 2, Gal 3:28)
The remnant on Mt Zion is the true Israel of God, Jew and Gentile who are in Christ!!!

3am
In the New Testament, Mt Zion is the church.

Here is what Jesus Christ said, and who better would know the answer to the following questions:, '...Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?' Matt 24:3

And here is Jesus reply:

Matt. 24:15] When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

[16] Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

And then He added:

[4] And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

So the advice of Jesus Christ, the one that will return was to, FLEE JUDAEA INTO THE MOUNTAINS!!!!! And He followed that with, 'TAKE HEED THAT NO MAN DECEIVE YOU.'

I think I'll go with the advice from the one retuning.

As far as some of the other scripture you quoted, the first one in II Kings has to do with the people of that time, in that year:

II Kings 19:

[29] And this shall be a sign unto thee, Ye shall eat this year such things as grow of themselves, and in the second year that which springeth of the same; and in the third year sow ye, and reap, and plant vineyards, and eat the fruits thereof.
[30] And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah shall yet again take root downward, and bear fruit upward.
[31] For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and they that escape out of mount Zion: the zeal of the LORD of hosts shall do this.
[32] Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the king of Assyria, He shall not come into this city, nor shoot an arrow there, nor come before it with shield, nor cast a bank against it.

The one used in Isaiah, actually has to do with the day of the Lord coming, in Chapter 3, and followed by His dwelling in Zion, chapter 4 that you quoted:

Isa 3:8 For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen: because their tongue and their doings are against the LORD, to provoke the eyes of his glory.

[13] The LORD standeth up to plead, and standeth to judge the people.

[14] The LORD will enter into judgment with the ancients of his people, and the princes thereof: for ye have eaten up the vineyard; the spoil of the poor is in your houses

[18] In that day the Lord will take away the bravery of their tinkling ornaments about their feet, and their cauls, and their round tires like the moon,

[19] The chains, and the bracelets, and the mufflers,

Then this is followed by your quote in chapter 4;

Isa 4:[2] In that day shall the branch of the LORD be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.

[3] And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem:

[5] And the LORD will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defence.

[6] And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.

What you quoted in Joel is after the tribulation period, for then will the sun be turned to darkness and the moon into blood:

Joel 2:[31] The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.

[32] And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.

Again the quote used in Obadiah is a reference after the times of trouble, for the all refer to 'The Day of the Lord' And that day can only happen once!

Oba 1:[15] For the day of the LORD is near upon all the heathen: as thou hast done, it shall be done unto thee: thy reward shall return upon thine own head.

[16] For as ye have drunk upon my holy mountain, so shall all the heathen drink continually, yea, they shall drink, and they shall swallow down, and they shall be as though they had not been.

[17] But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.

After all of these thing happen will:

21] And saviours shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the LORD's.

If we read a little further down in the book of Zach we fin this:

Zach 8:[4] Thus saith the LORD of hosts; There shall yet old men and old women dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, and every man with his staff in his hand for very age.

[5] And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in the streets thereof.

Kid playing in the streets of Zion and men walking with staffs because of very old age will being going on during Christ 1000 year rule.

Jerusalem will be a place of safty after Christ returns.

NIGHTMARE
Matthew 24:16 "Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:"

Judea is that land or country that Jerusalem was the capital of. We just call it the nation of Israel, on both sides of the Jordan river....... This is the place where the major peace treaty is being signed, and the largest part of world conflict is over........ If you are in that nation, Jesus is telling you to flee into the "mountains", or nations of the world, but get out of there. This is not when Titus of Rome walked in, but it is the start of the Great Tribulation, when God Himself shall rain down on that city of Jerusalem, and the nation. When the desolator creates this abomination,,,you dont wanna be anywhere around there,,,,LEAVE IN A HURRY!!!!!

Matthew 24:17 "Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:"

Sometimes the housetop is references to a place where the people went to chill or hang out,,,, but this "housetop" is where the watchman stood. He stood watching for the enemy, and when Jesus said, when you see him [the enemy] coming, this is the subject in here, flee Judaea. When you see him coming, get out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Matthew 24:18 "Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes."

You wont even need Clothes thats how close you are to the returning of the Lord and the end of this age,,,pretty exiciting stuff no.....

Jerusalem is the place of safety after Jesus return.

what about the place of safety during the GT?

Isaiah said

Isa 65
17: For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
18: But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.
19: And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.
20: There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.
21: And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.
22: They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.
23: They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them.
24: And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.
25: The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.

and this

Isa 66
15: For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.
16: For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.
17: They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the LORD.
18: For I know their works and their thoughts: it shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory.
19: And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles.
20: And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the LORD out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the LORD, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD.
21: And I will also take of them for priests and for Levites, saith the LORD.
22: For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.
23: And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.
24: And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.

when

at his return shall Jersualem be safe
